I was very proud of the fact that My level 23 Claws-Stalker 'Wombat Combat' was Union's worst stalker. Poor little critter couldn't even get assassinate right when two Heroes were standing in the Bloody Bay gas/waterworks talking amongst themselves. I don't think they even reacted past smiling at him.... he went off with his tail between his legs.
I just can't play em.
[/ QUOTE ]
That was you? Dunno if the hero in question was me but i do remember Wombat combat running around a long ol time ago.
I can't play stalkers either. I just find them boring to play really.
Find it hard to stick with blasters aswell. Defenders arnt my cup of tea but I love Corruptors.
Trollers and scrappers are meh
Doms I won't mention although I think I may try another one soon.
Brutes can be fun but my heart lies with Masterminds and tanks really. (really need another mm primary!!) -
Yea I was the nrg/kin corruptor
It was an amazing run and apart from... 1 death early on? And we didnt really need to use the shivs at the end we probably could have done MoRSF had we attempted.
Thanks a lot to all who were on it, was ace banter -

You do realise your argument has gone from being just bad to gone to [censored] now dont you?

I do know several sets that wont be able to run on higher difficulty without faceplanting all time, while others wont have much probs
[/ QUOTE ]
Is it really the set?
Or the player? -
Was this not why things like MoSTF/RSF were introduced so players can set themselves extra targets, for that extra challenge.
Why not set impossible odds in Ouroboros, no temps, debuffed, no travel powers etc.
Then do it with your "gimped" set like people from these boards have done in the past, (cant remember who it was that rolled a MM with no pets, and the person who is trying to get to 50 without leveling up once.
The game already has ways for players to challenge themselves.
Although an "expert mode" could be benificial for some but I just see it as another way for farmers to get more "l00t"
I agree that if players want more of a challenge all we have to do is put in a little more effort and theres plenty of challenge there to be had.
Doesn't mean they have to delete all their big guns though -
Ah poo, I'd love to be apart of this but I cant get on at weekends
Good luck, And if you decide to do it Monday to Thursday lemmie know -
Not knowing to pick stamina on my first toon and took him to 32 or there abouts constantly running out of breath until someone pointed out to me "How do you survive as a corruptor without stamina?"
1 respec later, and I still have him stil sitting at 43 after 33 months.
I think im going to try and push him to 50 this week, just because he was my first
Basically I think I miss being noobish -

Before they set that option as being account wide, it was create character, options screen, filter off, logging on.
[/ QUOTE ]
Account wide...?I have had to set it for every character everytime I start a new one.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's supposed to be account wide, And it mostly works for me but occasionally I have to switch it off on a new toon aswell. -

The Wentworths pamphlet isn't actually about Wentworths but is an edition of a UK lads mag??!!??
What next? The ARENA guide to PvP? The Zoo guide to rikti farming?

This is why you can't pick VRs from a pool. Everyone would take this at 3 months.
[/ QUOTE ]
That assumes the hypothetical pool system would only have one pool. It could have multiple pools and this could be in the (e.g.) yearly pool. Or some rewards could count as two rewards. Etc., etc. This isn't a reason for not having a pool system.
This reward is a good illustration of the problem of not having a pool system though. This is a nice reward. New players might like it. They're unlikely to ever get it, unless there's an alternative means of getting it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Might be nice to have a pool system.
Leave the awards at their current levels. When you get to a vet award point you can either take the award due or save a "Vet Merit".
Vet Merits can be used ti buy any vet award you don't have thats at you current vet level or lower
OR
2 can be used to buy an award thats 3, 6 , 9 or 12 months ahead of you
3 Can be used to buy an award thats 15, 18 , 21 or 24 months ahead of you
4 Can be used to buy an award thats 27, 30 , 33 or 36 months ahead of you
5 Can be used to buy an award thats 39, 42 , 45 or 48 months ahead of you
Thus to get this fancy 60 month award as a new player you'd have to save for 4 vet periods (so you're a 12 month vet) and could then buy the 60 month award with your 4 Vet Merits as its 48 months in the future.

I like this, Really good idea.

I would like to see a place, in a coop area, probably an extension to Pocket D or a new zone. Dedicated to socialising but with a tailors, shops, crafting stations, Wentworths, Vault, bars, cafes, a hotel, a theme park, with year round slides, a "danger room"/Mission Architect area when its released. All that kind of jazz all in one place available to all.
Like i said this would make a great addition to Pocket D as it already has some of the stuff there plus the arena and the monkey cage fighting.
What do you think? -
I think this reward comes too late on. It gives veteran players a somewhat unfair advantage over the newer guys. Not with the travel powers early, as there are other means of travel early on. But with not having to pick one of the first two powers.
There are a lot of people who will never hope to see such an advantage (Unless ofc characters and Rewards can be carried over to COH2... Please!)
I think it should be made so you can pick up the travel power at lvl 8 and still have to pick from the frist two powers in the pool.
But I suppose you may as well just stick with the jetpack then...
Oh I don't know, do what you like, I probably wont see 5 years anyway. -
Well why not start a new "All New Paragon Allstars" or "Paragon Allstars Unlimited"?
Or somthing along those lines.
I'm sure theres a lot of people out there that would like to be apart of that. -
I like this too. I remember back when I dreaded debt and actually celebrating when i became debt free.
Now when I get defeated I don't even think about debt because it's never there long enough to worry about.
A debt slider starting at 100% and going to ooh 1000% would be nice please -

No I try and keep a low profile.
Is it depressing that i've been here 4 years (on and off) and no one knows me?
Not really no

Welcome back -
Yea tonight became unplayable for me because the lag was so bad
-
I tend to find my self always coming back to my 50s. Espically Mr Mac as I just love playing as him.
I'm going to have to echo whats been said and play an EAT or grab yourself a 2nd 50 on the red side, assuming that is your 1st 50 is a hero. Then roll a VEAT
Rollplay.
And badgehunt!
Rally people togeather for GM hunts! (far to rare these days and i'll always join one if im on)
Mothership raids
Any TF thats going. Even if its just for the banter! I must of done the LGTF 20 times +
Orobubble! Set yourself the time challenges etc...
Theres loads of stuff to keep yourself occupied, even if its just exploring. The citys so vast I found I missed most of it on my road to 50, and I didn't exactly rush there.
Not to mention alting, involving yourself in a good SG, events, PVP, Join as many channels as you can and get yourself involved in them.
The list goes on. -

Most of my better moments were when I was a newbie:
- Trying to get into Hospital when my health was low, and I hadn't a proper defeat yet. Even tried to run into elevators when a player run out.
- Trying to get into train when doors were open. "Clicking with blue hand" not yet discovered by then. Maybe I needed a train ticket?
[/ QUOTE ]
Or the old "clicking on the Train door over and over again, trying to figure out why they wouldn't work". Before eventually realising that the Train entrance and train exit are two seperate little rooms.
