Whoa thugs give you 28 def to all? That's awesome. I've been wanting to make a new mm maybe ill give thugs a try

    +Def Vs -ToHit

How much -ToHit does it take to get the same survivability as soft capping defense? I see the advantage of def being that you dont have to actually hit the enemy first, and tohit being beneficial for the rest of the team. Specifically Im deciding between bubbles or dark. Dark looks like more fun so Ill probably use that, but Im curious how they compare.

    DoT and Procs

Last I heard rain powers do fire procs more often, but that could have changed.
  5. If you are using DO at 20 then you need at least 2 acc per attack. You should post your build, I'm curious what you have

If you took your build through a mission, then made a second build with high defense, I think you would see the high def build killing faster overall because you wouldnt need to stop/run away as much.
My blasters do way more damage than my scrappers, but I can solo missions way faster on my scraps because they fit my playstyle better. That is really what matters, playing the characters that you like in a way that is fun to you.

They are random things between 30-40. They are selling, slowly. It is just frustrating when something regularly sells for 60mil and I cant even sell it for 10mil in less than a week.
I post things at a price to sell quickly, Im not worried about making the max cash all the time. I just remember a time when I would post my random IO sets and they would disappear within a day.
  8. My market slots are getting tied up with IOs that wont even sell at 1/3 of the recent price history.

I meant casual as in my difficulty was only 0x2, my brute is built to live outside of AE. But yeah, farming isn't fun. I've only been doing it for a week and I'm already sick of it. Getting villains to 20 and then rogue so they can join a team feels worth to me though.

    This.
I casually took a villain from 1-16 in about an hour last night.
  11. I don't consider a handful of personal stories as good evidence yet, but I will mention that on my aoe focused scrapper I only get commons by breaking astral merits into threads. If I can't get a common, something must be broken.
  12. Defense failure is caused because every time your defense is reduced, the next debuff is more likely to hit (because you have less defense) until you have no defense left. That is why it is called "cascading."

A handful of longbow nullifiers can take anyone's resistance below 0. It is not a cascade though, more of a blunt trauma. Losing resistance does not increase your chance of losing more resistance. It is impossible to have a cascading resist failure by definition.
  13. Does increasing level effect the chances of getting better recipes/purples?

Derp well +4 then though with incarnates a difficulty increase seems necessary for regular content.

  16. What is the optimal difficulty to maximize drops with new incarnate powers? 0x8 high speed slaughterfest, or maybe +4x8?
How much does increasing the level effect the rate of recipe/salvage drops?

  18. I love a powerset with a few powers I hate. Makes it easier to get the whole leadership pool.

Not quite. The people who play this mmo for the multiplayer aspect appear to outnumber the elite soloists. I could be wrong about that, but I would guess that overall the devs are pushing the game where they think the most money is. So you can certainly play the game the way you want for your money, within the boundaries set by the devs.
Don't get me wrong, I play solo or duo with a friend at least 70% of the time. I would love some solo incarnate content. I just don't think all of us pug scum are going to miss you unfriendly people when you quit. We are going to play the game because we think its fun enough even when we are occasionally forced to help other people.

I do bind a little. I bind heals/end recovery powers to my mouse button 4/5 on characters that have them. If not I will bind powers I use a ton, like taunts or build up. I bind big shields like moment of glory or strength of will to G, and my travel powers are always on Lshift. If I have a location AoE I will bind it to Lalt+Lbutton.
I follow that pretty consistently with all of my characters, I dont think I could keep track of many more binds.

I'm a clicker, and I keep at least 4 trays open always.

    -75% Range

For pvp it could be helpful instead of chasing super speed/jump blasters.

The attitude that Im not going to miss the guy that refuses to play with me even though we have never met? He judges me by some bad teams that he has had before, and you want to put me on ignore? Really?

I hate hearing that too. I solo missions somewhere between 0x4 and 0x8 depending on what Im doing. I read about some of the tougher characters soloing at 4x8. If the game gets too easy, we still have a little room to make it harder.
Also I have an emp/elec defender that I cant even solo at -1x1 (built 100% for support), he is going to love the incarnate powers.

I've always played pug with my 1irl friend on this game. If I play with an idiot I global mark him 1 star and a note and avoid him in the future. If players are good I mark them with 5 stars.
If you want to restrict yourself to playing with only a few people on this massively multiplayer online game, that's your choice. But you're doing it wrong.
