  1. I've now trick or treated on 5 different toons - solo and on teams. I haven't received one costume drop, yet each of the 5 toons got the Clothes Horse badge, which I thought was tied to costume drops. Each time it has been in a level appropriate zone, so I think that can be ruled out.

I've contacted support and I got a "working as intended" reply.
  2. The channel mods set inactive timers on them, so space frees up when the inactives get removed.

I think VirtueBadges09 is the other one - I forget if there's a space in there or not. That might have room.
  3. I moved from Freedom about a year and a half ago and I'll never look back. It started off a little weird because I didn't know anyone here, but that soon passes once you join teams and the global channels. I'll try and add to what others have already said.

How frequent are teams on the Virtue sever, are they constant, are there less teams than on freedom or more teams than on Freedom?

Teaming couldn't be easier on Virtue. The first thing I did was to join the global channels Virtue TFs 2010, Virtue LFG Alpha and Virtue United. For some of those, you just need to contact a channel mod to be un-silenced. Once you have those, you'll see regular messages about teams and TFs. Virtue United does have some team/TF chatter, but it's mostly off topic discussion - sometimes with hilarious results.

Are there less or more teams at certain level ranges, meaning will I get more teams at level 20 than I would at level 35?

You can find teams at pretty much any level. High level teams will even take lowbies along for the ride.

Do most players roleplay in their speech as well, or is there a fair amount of players who make toon who have great stories, costumes but speak like someone on Freedom?

I'm far from an RPer, but there are folks that enjoy that. I've seen a lot of great concepts and stories floating around Virtue. You also find people like me who don't RP, but don't mind if others do.

How frequent are TFs on Virtue, again more or less than Freedom?

Coming from Freedom, I'd have to say with the global channels Virtue offers, there are a lot more TF/SFs being run on Virtue. You don't see anyone running a Sister Psyche? Give it 10 minutes and you'll see it pop up in one of the global channels.

Just make a character here and try it out. Like any big server, there are a few bad apples that try to spoil the bunch, but all in all it's a great server.
  4. For those that don't check Player Events, I'm hosting an all Gravity control team starting next Wednesday. Check here for details. We'll be very RP friendly!

    Wormholes for everyone!

I don't kick them, but I do try to subtly make them aware that people notice when you skip powers that are individually more powerful than everything else you bring to the team.
Those people should be kicked unless they have a second build with the key powers. Seriously, if you choose a support set or one with a team buff, you should know what you're in for.

It's the main reason I don't play support toons. I don't like buffing. However, if I play something like rad, I know darn well to take AM as soon as possible.
  6. Raising the cap would only exacerbate the problem with prices on the market.

The main problem with the market are those people that are impatient to wait for something and have to have it right away, so they'll pay an arm and a leg. The sellers then see something is willing to be sold for more, so they raise their selling price and the cycle of life continues.
  7. Re-work the Synapse TF.

There are entirely too many defeat all missions. The other pain is the mission where you have to travel to the outer reaches of Boomtown to defeat Bertha, only to return to Steel Canyon.

I also like the idea of getting Faathim into 2010 by giving him a cellphone.
  8. Seeing something like "Mother $@%!#&" in any chat, any normal person's mind know exactly what word goes in there. People are either being way too over-sensitive, holier than thou or just plain ignorant if they say otherwise. Sure, it's up to both the players and NC to keep it clean (when possible), but instantly petitioning someone for it is just knee-jerk and overly sensitive. Just because you may not speak that way, doesn't mean other people don't - and that works both ways, but you have to be aware of both sides of the argument.

The rating on the game is based on the content created by the developers, which is then submitted to the ESRB for rating. If the developers put in sex, blood and swears, the game would be rated M. So, using the argument that "This is a T rated game, so no swearing" is not valid. However, NC's discretion is a valid one, since it's their game and they get final say.

    From the ESRB site:

Do ESRB ratings address player chat, or player-generated content or downloadable music in online-enabled games?
ESRB ratings only address content created by the publisher, and cannot consider content that is created or introduced by individual players or other third parties when playing the game online. ESRB-rated games that can be played online with other players and which enable exposure to user-generated content are required to display an Online Rating Notice on the game's packaging (if it exists), as well as in the opening screen. The Online Rating Notice states: "Online Interactions Not Rated By The ESRB." This notice is intended to warn about possible exposure to chat (text, audio, video) or other types of user-generated content (e.g., maps, skins) that have not been considered in the ESRB rating assignment.

tl;dr version - stop being overly sensitive and see things from other points of view, stop using the game's rating as an argument crutch and enjoy the #*@! game.

    Best Dom pet?

Back when there was a bug where pets would fight each other, Singy came out on top as the most durable - he was always the last one standing. I'd have to go in this order of durability/damage:

    1. Singularity
    2. Stone Pet
    3. Fire Imps
    4. Plant Pet
    5. Jack Frost
    6. Electric Gremlins

The electric gremlins love to over aggro everything, then die a blaster-style death. Jack Frost is still frail as anything and frequently gets stuck in sword animations.
  10. The last "Hunt Down Shen" mission from Bobcat.

Did it last night solo with a scrapper and gigantic mobs of Syndicate kept swarming in, even though I was still working on the last 2 mobs that came in. I go so overwhelmed by incoming ambushes that I couldn't even see my toon anymore. After destroying me, I waited til they cleared and used an awaken. While in the stunned state, I got 3 more ambushes that rushed in and promptly faceplanted me.

I went to the hospital and dropped that mission like a hot potato.
  11. I have the 5770 1GB dual slot card and it runs Ultra Mode perfectly with everything maxed (Bloom and Depth of Field are shut off as they muddy the look of the game) running at 1920x1080. I get anywhere from 40-60fps, which is more than enough. I'm sure the single slot version will do the same.

Newer cards tend to need a power supply 550 and higher, so be mindful of that before upgrading.

Yes, it does. I had an old dominator redside, plant/thorns, that I never really was able to get into playing. A mostly useless pet, anemic damage outside of Domination, and not a great deal of team utility.
As of Issue 15, Dominator damage is now set at a higher base - at or above Blaster damage - WITHOUT Domination.

Domination still does affect Hold/Stun/Immob/etc magnitudes for as long as its up.

From Paragon Wiki on Issue 15:

The base Damage Scale for melee will be increased from .75 to 1.05, and ranged from .65 to .95, a
    significant increase.

Also, Plant has a TON of team utility. You get Seeds of Confusion at 8, which is a huge deal for low level teams. You get Creepers at 26, which definitely helps in mob mitigation and absorbing alphas. The pet AI was also revamped, so it's now no longer as horrible as Jack Frost. Lastly, with the inclusion of hero APPs, Dominators made out the best by getting tons of AoE in both the Fire and Ice mastery sets.

With all of the changes done to Doms, they play more like Blasters than Blasters do. Any Dominator combination should be fairly monsterous - well, maybe not Gravity.
  13. Blast Masters and Big Dogs are the worst offenders. Not only do you get stuck in multiple Burn patches, you also get Foot Stomped to high heaven. This is particularly rough for MMs, where respawning pets after every mob becomes tedious.

    Sister Pysche TF

She also has the penchant of sending folks to Praetoria, too.

Psyche has been drinking the Kool-Aid.
  15. It would be nice if the badge text told us which ones we are missing. It's a pain to go through an arc twice only to find you missed say Anti-Matter and you wasted time doing the wrong arc/contact.
  16. You want melee, then you'll want Earth Assault. It's very melee-centric and gives you the feel of power. Pair it with Fire Control so that Hot Feet burns what you're beating on.
  17. It's really not all that bad. Make your toon on another server, then free transfer it to your home when the store is back up.

Not really a huge deal, just annoying until it's fixed.
  18. Doms = more perfect with this update. No more villain Dominators for me!

    Electric Control

I'm still not loving Electric control. Maybe with a team of them, it could be something. Otherwise, meh.
  20. It really makes me wonder sometimes if my monthly fee is going toward capable technicians and top notch developers or if it's simply being squandered.
  21. I just had several emails disappear that included several items including a purple recipe and a little over 351m in infamy that I had leftover from toons I deleted. On 7/8, those emails had 24 days before expiring. On 7/9, they were gone.

I'm still working with support to get my emails restored. I feel very lucky they were able to locate them for me. The GM in the email replies even told me to start claiming emails that were reaching the 30 day mark, even though 60 is supposed to be the correct expiration time.

    PLing?

Heroside is easy. Get to 10, then run Task Forces.

It's better when there's content rather than sitting in the same mission, not doing any work.
