I too am experiencing a similar problem that is preventing me from testing these changes.

Is that the limited edition Psomad with the shiny hologram front that when you turn it she yells about the copy tool and gets Pso mad??
If so I'll give you my Smiling Joe in green booty shorts and the ultra rare Psoma9000 complete with disco costume and huge hoop earrings for a trade. -

I heard Infinity has some legit pvp'ers. We had some intense 3 v 3's 4 v 4's and 5 v 5's going the other night. >.>

Wouldn't inspirations, accolades and travel powers be more fair if anything. Seeing as everyone gets 20 slots, the chance to earn them, and the ability to take them.
I think if you try to limit what you opponent can use because you are SCARED and insecure over your own build!!! If you die on a regen with insps you should delete your toon and reroll amirite?
I'll still fight you on my blaster since I don't have any fiteclub toons on infinity. Take of the kiddie gloves and fight like a REAL MAN!!!!!!
(Just imagine this taking part in broadcast under Atlas statue if it helps good you in the mood)

I actually did a few runs but the first set didn't have any sound (and didn't use insps) so I was getting bored and just started to use them like I normally do. The results were about the same with the blaster being much closer to the fire/kin. Reds don't actually do all that much for the fire tank, and do nothing for the fire/kin, If anything they helped the time of the blaster and scrapper. Once double rage is going you're a mere 40% damage from the cap, where as the blast/scrap can get several hundred % to cap their damage.
That being said it wasn't a super official test. I just wanted to see what was faster and after 3 runs using insps for each (the elec/SD and fire/SS) the tank won every time, with one of them coming in at a staggering 2:12. -

Definitely some serious buffs to Fire's Damage output. I shudder to think what a spines/fire/pyre could pull off. Anyone have one and want to do a run? -
Fire is to me without a doubt king of damage again. It blows my purpled Shield/SS/Pyre out of the water. Sadly it even blows my S/L soft capped 80% recharge Fire/Mental/Ice *Blaster* out of the water for kill speed... which is concerning. Its still very squishy compared to my other tanks and even to some of my scrappers, but I guess that is okay since it out damages them now?
It really makes me wonder how crazy a fire scrapper could be if you could get the survivability up there. (the fire tank runs like 33% S/L/Melee atm) -

Unfortunately the duel takes place as 20 paces with no movement involved so I'm afraid your psn gas trap is useless!!!! Challenge accepted though! -

I'm looking to fight a Traps/AR or AR/Traps on my Fire/EM blaster for a fair fight to the death. No inspiration, no moving, no accolades, NOTHING UNFAIR. Both players standing twenty paces apart and just letting lose everything they have. The first one to drop loses and if you can kill me you get a 280 influence bounty + a now rare level 53 End Reduction TO.
Can be done on infinity or test. If you are a corrupter though don't use full auto when in scourge range, its really unfair and does too much dam. Thanks! -

A Psi/Em is nice because it lets you get into all levels of PvP. From zones to the arena, casual kickball style matches to organized 8 v 8's. Scrappers on the other hand pretty much limit you to zone play.

As an "Arena Kid" I find that zones are pretty much the easy mode of PvP. It doesn't take a lot of coordination to get kills, even against teams backed with support toons. Just throw enough damage for a long enough period and someone is going to die. Get a few people together and keep throwing damage, and they can't even evade with TS.
As far as getting farmed, in zones its hard to be immortal on most arena toons (outside of stalkers) but I can't remember the last time I've teamed with any arena buddies where the kill to death ratio wasn't significantly better than the rest of the "Zoners" crowd. With 2 or 3 people its usually enough to simply wrack up kills, on the rare occasion you get like 5+ into the zones on a team I've never seen the other side last more than 10 minutes before they'd be base camped just because the level of coordination is that much better.
Along the line of what Psyrene said, 8 v 8 Would be a complete blow out (even if HD and TS were on) in the arena. 6 v 8 with numbers favoring the zoners with HD and TS off would be a complete blow out. -
Of those you listed
Sonic/Therm is really good and also FoTM so you wouldn't want to make that.
Stormies are still nice in teams if you are running a few and Rad Blast is probably near the top under sonic. Wouldn't call it FoTM, but nice team toon with other stormies.
Sonic/Rad doesn't have the same debuffs as a defender Rad/Sonic but it can work.
So I guess the least FoTM would be a Rad Blast/Sonic.
Really though I'd suggest going all out and rolling AR or Archery for a corrupter. An AR/Sonic would make you really really unique I'd say. -

Just a heads up guys for practice tonight, I'm unavailable this week, Psoma I think said she might be kind of busy and Slax is in SC2. Not sure if the team will be around without anyone herding everyone together. If you can get a practice going with anyone who happens to show up that'd be great, but don't want you waiting around all night for people if no one is going to show.

Thanks macskull and MrLiberty. The sad truth is at the moment, I can't quite afford Psyrene's build...so, MrLiberty, I find yours quite helpful as it is in my price range. Over time, I could invest more.
Still blown away by this whole don't-need-defense, and taking Vengeance just for the -KB and LotG procs....but it seems to be sound, prevalent logic. I don't play on a hardcore PvP server, so I could probably get away with less, but why chance it?
Yeah as Mac said defense on a blaster in PvP will never amount to much of anything outside of PFF which will make some attacks miss. With ice mastery it can be nice to have some defense in PvE but if you are going for a strictly PvP build there are better bonuses to slot for.
Vengeance, use it whenever you can. Its not just the +KB protection, but you get status resistance, to hit, and damage all of which are high priorities for a blaster. Now the to hit and damage won't do much while in aim and build up (thanks to DR) but outside those windows you'll be better off. -
This is what I use for a pretty cheap Spines/Inv/Pyre scrapper. Fireball is just too epic to pass up, don't worry about getting soft capped S/L defense with 1 foe in range. If you can hit 40 ish % with 4 or 5 foes in range you'll be more than set.
Basically BU Fireball Spine Burst, jump out throw spines then ripper/fire blast anything that is left. Keep 1 tray of inspirations just for burning through and you'll move through mobs nice and fast.

First, LoL'ed at your Sig Mac
Second, Forget about the BS/Regen. You can put a pile of influence into it and be hard to kill in zones but not be all that threatening at the same time beyond throwing webnades and getting lucky off a Headsplitter crit every once in a while. Psi/EM is plenty survivable in zones if you play defensive enough plus it gives you a chance to actually be useful in arena PvP.
Third, cheap build about as cheap as you can get for an effective Psi/EM

Its a good place to start and you can add more to it as you go. Micro's Glad Jav's, Apoc's Hecatombs, etc etc. If you are going to get into PvP invest in the Psi/Em it's miles better than the BS/Regen.
