Not enough KB prot. too much +hp bonus(if you have all the +hp accolades it only takes about +14ish% to cap a blaster), waste of slots with slotting winters gift and the entropic chaos procs, drop assault and take vengence for another place to slot a lotg proc and a karma kb io, 5 slot flash freeze with fortunata hypnosis' and many,many other changes because honestly that build is not so good. Use the search and look in this forum for Psi/Em builds, multiple times they have been asked for and answered, or just keep going back a couple pages and you will find one.

Would you mind explaining why I need so muck KB protection. I have heard that many times before that I need like -41 but why isn't -10 enough?
So you don't get thrown around by tk blast, dom's with kb and ku, and troller's with the same. 41 is enough to stop all but 6 slotted Force Bolt and maybe power push. If you want to spend your time being levitated or tk blasted to the ground then feel free to not slot enough kb prot. And when you are kb'd you can do nothing so.... And I would also 5 slot hecatombs in power thrust. 5 slot build up and psychic focus with adjusted targetings, 6 slot tactics with 5 adjusted targetings and the rectified recticle + perception. And in the last post I meant drop assault and take Maneuvers for the same reason I stated in it. 5 slot performance shifters in stamina, no need to really 3 slot hasten, 2 slot it. put the celerity stealth io in sprint, 3 slot sj and ss with 2 micro's and the blessing kb io. Boost range is pretty much permanent with only one rech io, and 5 slot psionic lance with 5 sting of the manticores. And also how much you wanting to spend on this blaster?

Well I wasn't really planning on spending a whole ton on it that is why I haven't worked any of the pvp or expensive purples in it. So maybe at the most it looks like I might spend between 3-5 billion. And thank you for taking your time to explain this stuff to me it really helps.
okay adjusted a build to try and make it "cheap". It still will be a bit expensive but I did not throw in any glad jav procs so that should help keep the expense down. Use what you want of it or none of it. I did keep the Apoc proc in the build and also a set of 5 hecatombs. but like I said here it is use what you want of it.

Okay then I guess I will just be saving up. Trying to work on like 3 pvp toons at once and my bs/regen is my main priority and then this blaster and then my em/elec brute. So it will take some time so I hope GR won't screw me over. But when I get home I will post the final build for your last critique if you wouldn't mind.

What is wrong with scrappers? I have a few lvl 50 scrappers already. And how do they cause bad pvp habits?
Psyrene: 3-5 Billion is "cheap"? I'd hate to see your idea of expensive! Curious... you have all this KB protection, but not much in the way of defense, which seems unusual for other blaster builds I've seen. Why did you choose not to focus on getting at least Ranged defense closer to soft cap? Or to say it another way.... to knock you back, they have to hit you first. Thanks

I've never been able to stomach a blaster beyond 30 let alone PvP with one, but yet I am enjoying my Psy/Em and it feels like a keeper. While I don't feel super squishy in PvE as if I'd rolled a fire blaster...I do wonder why no one seems to focus on defense on their Psy/Em PvP builds. Is it because DM renders defense ineffective in PvP? Is the fighting strategy here to just put out a lot of damage from range (ie best defense is a good offense)? I'm not criticizing...just trying to learn (gasp!) the rationale.
It's because defense is garbage in PvP, especially on a squishy where DR caps it at about 20%. As a Blaster you want to build to hit the HP cap (pretty easy), 41+ points of KB protection, damage, range, and recharge.

First, LoL'ed at your Sig Mac
Second, Forget about the BS/Regen. You can put a pile of influence into it and be hard to kill in zones but not be all that threatening at the same time beyond throwing webnades and getting lucky off a Headsplitter crit every once in a while. Psi/EM is plenty survivable in zones if you play defensive enough plus it gives you a chance to actually be useful in arena PvP.
Third, cheap build about as cheap as you can get for an effective Psi/EM

Its a good place to start and you can add more to it as you go. Micro's Glad Jav's, Apoc's Hecatombs, etc etc. If you are going to get into PvP invest in the Psi/Em it's miles better than the BS/Regen.

Still blown away by this whole don't-need-defense, and taking Vengeance just for the -KB and LotG procs....but it seems to be sound, prevalent logic. I don't play on a hardcore PvP server, so I could probably get away with less, but why chance it?

Over time, I could invest more. Still blown away by this whole don't-need-defense, and taking Vengeance just for the -KB and LotG procs....but it seems to be sound, prevalent logic. Yeah as Mac said defense on a blaster in PvP will never amount to much of anything outside of PFF which will make some attacks miss. With ice mastery it can be nice to have some defense in PvE but if you are going for a strictly PvP build there are better bonuses to slot for.
Vengeance, use it whenever you can. Its not just the +KB protection, but you get status resistance, to hit, and damage all of which are high priorities for a blaster. Now the to hit and damage won't do much while in aim and build up (thanks to DR) but outside those windows you'll be better off.
Just created this build on Mids. I think this build has great potential. Any ideas would be great. As someone else said before tough love is the best love
. So if it sucks tell me. Still trying to master the use of set bonuses. This is just going off of what I have heard like maximizing the use of procs and Knockback redox.
