    "Moral Combat"

Games dont make Violent Kids, Bad parenting does...bad moral direction produces these "rotten eggs". Its not our fault that nowadays video games are what "bad parents" use to entertain/watch their kids so they dont have to do it themselves. Rewind 20 years, and you will find a similar documentary about televesion..go back another 20 years and you will find another about radio. The blame game is funny, as it never seems to focus on the people that are to blame.

    /end dr. phill moment.
  3. Any attacks activated against you prior to your completion of the phase power WILL hit you even if the animation time goes beyond the time that you have activated the phase power.

You hit phase, someone else hits total focus..they start the slowmo jump and op your phase is up and running by now, but the hit still connects.

COH works like a txt based mud mechanics wise..all attacks are calculated instantly and applied instantly..the animations are just fluff once the activation period has completed.

however, even 5 lvls behind the baddies, i could still pop a couple inspirations and hang in there with the team. obviously i wasn't the pivotal key to the team, but i definitely helped. now, we don't even get credit for the baddies we fight if we choose to be in that situation.

the whole point was to eliminate toons standing around collecting xp for nothing, wasn't it? why not make it so the limit of xp is +5 lvls from the baddies and not the highest teammate?

The +3 lvl cap only applies to the mission completion bonus. It has no affect on experience awarded for defeating opponents.

EXACTLY! being -4 to mob level on an 8 man invinc misison....the bonus is just like the srpinkles on your cupcake. By the time you get the bonus you have gotten 4 bubbles of experience and thats in the late 30's....

My wife is our mission host with this current duo...she plays on invinc, i am sk'ed (current 31 sk'ed to 34 by her) the mobs are level 37-38...

i didnt notice any xp loss at all and i am -4 to mission level...yeah the bonus is less like 5%, whooptie.

And it was basically a change to the PvP combat text since in PvE the combat logs don't report pet actions. You would have to be on the recieving end of the Assault Bot smashing you to see it. That fact only added to a lot of the confusion.

BTW, how many of you people have been smashed by an Assault Bot?

Ive had one land on me, hurt my hip!!! Though my Graveknight came up from under the offending MM and moved him just enough that he accidently exited the mission :halo:
  6. yes, it was text change only...course it was funny reading all the DOOOOOMMMM posts from our local emporium of nervous bot mm's.
  7. The correct answer, is Pie.
  8. A pity we dont get something like scourge.
  9. I dont see why people gripe so much about the prices. Each point of prestige is a point permanently earned by your SG. We have only 3 real active people in ours and here we already have a workshop up and ar emoving to whatever snext.

Yeahyou have a small sink in rent, but otherwise every point spent is still a point saved...
  10. Mr. and Mrs. Kacos on Guardian

We play every night on our villians or heros.

    this is her first mmo
  11. so um...my girlfriend told me that the other night in my sleep i was muttering about power pools and which one to pick...

i also woke up one night yelling that we (i assume my company) shouldnt use some verison of word because it sucks....

You have to learn to draw a line in your gaming. Sometimes it is good to do other things, let the sunlight hit your skin and so on.

In the end do whatever you want..heck here i am checking forums for the game i play while i drink my coffee at work. Though i know when to draw the line, close out my hobby/entertainment, and get to work.

You should let them know that you consider gaming your hobby...if you were a ham radio guru they would probably be saying the same thing..except about being on the radio. Also it is good to point out that gaming is a precursor to some kind of career in computers..which is a very nice field (especially MIS *innocent whistle*)

It is good to establish a schedule..or compromise (this is how my relationship works) that says you will get certain amount of time, but other times spend it with your family or sig other. Put out an effort to set the game aside. Games are fun and a wonderful out for stress on day to day life...but eventually you must face day to day life...and all in all games are just a time sink that have no corporreal value.

oh and commenting on a previous posters post...yeah Girls before games. you can always go back to your game, but some TLC goes much much furthur (an dis harder to get back if you shut it out).
