Why are people so obsessed with forcing other people to play their way? As far as I see it, the 'i like to solo' crowd are simply saying 'give us the option to solo things', and thr 'teaming is good' brigade are saying 'make it harder! Make teaming the ONLY way!'
One of the reasons I love this game so much is because of the social aspect of it. For me, and it seems for many others, that social aspect is not teaming, but chatting woth @friends and channel-mates while I solo.
Multiplayer=/=teaming.
Multiplayer = interacting with other players.
If you like to team, woohoo for you. I'm sincerely happy that the mechanics allow you to fill your boots with creamy teamy goodness. It doesn't dirty my game when you team.
If the 'hard' stuff is scaled so that I can solo it, why does that affect anyone else at all?

But she still got the same message. they also suggested waiting till after the next daily maintenence period. That's Friday, isn't it?
I've never heard of this sort of relocation solution before, though. Fingers crossed for Friday!

A completely fresh install failed to change anything. That's updatibg all drivers and reinstalling failed. Petition sent. Hope support can find a solution.

Our difficulty slider should go down to -4 as well as up to +4, and We should get the option to scale AVs down to Bosses.
Scale rewards accordingly, and everyone's happy.

If X DPS is sufficient, then Mandatory min-maxing to get X+[whatever] is stupid and can only serve to allow the dickheads to behave like dickheads. The 'nice' players should have no giant need to examine other players DPS so minutely, and Herostats does an admirable job for those who want to know their own, I hear.

Well, she has verified all files, deleted the checksum file and let it rebuild, Nd updated all her drivers. Now she's going to try a full reinstall, and then petition if that fails.

If I 'verify all files', and upon trying to login I get problems, will reinstalling give me a different install than the one I've verified? I'm wondering wether to bother uninstalling and reinstalling before petitioning, is why. I've verified all files.

I only have mids and Sentinel. I tjink you don't even need mids for Sentinel to transfer to CIT.

I also love the thing where you just login, turn on sentinel, open your toons info window ingame and sentinel magically knows every badge you've got and uploads it directly to city info tracker. It's like a glorious magical elixir brewed from concentrated genius in the form of an app.
I've actually been looking forward to respeccing my toons since I got it!

I've been farming tips lately and I've soloed the Malta mission loads of times. I did the 'hide behind a corner' tactic and was always able to deal with the malta ambushes as they came.
There's no glowie in that mission, btw, that I could see. There's an NPC to talk to and Frostfire's incredibly obvious to spot.

Having the same problem when I try to log in bypassing the patcher (due to a massive patcher crash from earlier today). Not sure if it's the same as your problem- it MAY be related to a file mismatch between your install and the Live server. Have you tried forcing a verify to be sure all your files are in fact up to date?

CoH is a game that I pay for. More power to you if you want to view with pride acheiving difficult targets within it, but other people have other ideas of what is worthy of admiration etc. I can already skip the Honoree mission, and i agree with you about its current difficulty being pretty easy compared to stuff like LR or GW. I fully expect my emp defender to beat it with a Shivan.
But if I can't be arsed on the day, and I auto-complete, it won't be the end of the world. And I won't enjoy the content I open after that any less.

I think what i'm basically trying to say is: Mender Ramiel's arc was a teeny bit too hard for me, and I wish it was a little easier, but I'll accept the auto-complete help
