To add to what Eldorado said, if they are applying a patch, that'll usually go out on Tuesdays, usually during the same time period.

It used to be daily(weekdays), but have changed in the last year or so to a weekly maintenance(as Eldorado said).

What everyone else said. Occasionally, for patches and issue releases they have to have another one during the week, usually on Tuesdays. If its outside of the standard maintenance period, they usually post something up in the announcement section of the forums.
