The problem with farming threads is they tend to inevitably lead back to the farming debate. Avoid it, and the thread stays open. That may require some serious forum ninjitsu though.

So when I play the game, I am forced to lie about certain details of my real life if asked certain questions. I don't feel bad about it. In a sense, I am Role Playing a person who plays this game and is not an employee at Paragon Studios.
Regardless, life in the modern increasingly interconnected world requires tolerance of a great deal of things. How people play a video game is an infinitely smaller issue to me than how others drive, and every afternoon as I commute home I am to a certain extent forced to be tolerant of that.
I did some RP in EQ (especially at GM events), I generally don't RP in CoH, and I'm fine with everyone else doing with what they want. If I don't like it I don't play with them. The issue primarily being discussed here should have been left at that. -
Having your name be generic'ed is always an unhappy experience. Your best bet is always to petition if you feel it has been done in error. Unfortunately it may take a bit of time, but hopefully matters can be resolved to your satisfaction.

The best response in these cases it to appeal to the GM's. As we can see in this case it does work.
Since there is nothing else to say productive, lets close this one down. -
I want to say Napa, but it was so long ago that I couldn't be sure. This is all way back, first couple months of release. Lots of issues with time warps, rollbacks, and epic lag on a 28.8 modem.
-
Clearly, the answer is the Mod's need to nerf cred.

I like my archery blaster, although still only in the mid 30's. I'm just stuck dropping a mission every couple days cause I'm not thrilled over the arc I am on.
Also necro post. -

Is $15 a month the most money-wise investment, given happiness-time, in this bad economy?

As to monthly fee's, all I can say is I hope we make it worth it to you. There is so much of the game that you have yet to see I hope that you give us a chance. If you compare us to most console games which have a price point of about $60, then with the initial purchase of the game that includes about 3 months total play time ($30 for the game + 2 monthly subscriptions). Most console games don't hold my interest for 3 months (or 3 weeks even, which is why I have largely stopped playing console games).
I was originally quite skeptical of monthly fees too, way back when I started playing MMO's. However at the time one of my all time favorite pc games (Ultima 7) was basically being remade into a MMO with UO and I was so excited it overcame my initial reluctance.
More than 10 years later I basically only play MMO's these days, and have over 22,000 hours of play time in various MMO's. I figure I've paid an average of less than 20 cents an hour for my entertainment. To compare a move runs me about $5 an hour (even if I rent it's $1.50 an hour), console games typically run about $3 an hour, playing pool runs me about $7 an hour, and if I golfed it would be about $20 an hour (on public courses). It helps that I work on an MMO now so my costs are even lower than that $.20 an hour.

Coming soon to a thread near you, TheOcho answers your questions about relationships and investment. -
If by good Dim Sum you mean the Hong Kong Flower Lounge (big peach building by the corner of Milbrae Avenue and El Camino) you are right it is good, although I prefer the food at Fook Yuen (about 2 blocks south on El Camino I believe and yes that really is its name). The spare ribs are to die for. If you are in the mood for Thai in the area I recommend the Thai Stick (yes also really its name) which is 3 blocks north on El Camino but the best food in the area is a small Vietnamese resteraunt 2 blocks north on El Camino (just past Pete's Cafe which is good for breakfast or deep in the middle of the night, the german baby which is really the name of the dish is excellent) called Le Petite Camile.
The best Dim Sum I've had in the area is Koi Palace in Daly City, but I'm not really an expert. Also it's been like a decade, so take that reccomendation with a grain of salt.
And whoever mentioned burger joints in the East Bay and left out Nations is going to hell for the unforgivable sin of not mentioning one of the best local chains (also does a good breakfast).
Now I'm hungry. -
Please limit this discussion to the Official Farming Discussion Thread.
Thanks, -
Doll,
Sorry to hear you are considering leaving. I enjoyed interacting with you both on the boards and in game and I hope you reconsider, but each of us has to make this decision on their own. The resulting thread indeed displays why we discourage goodbye threads, they almost never lead to productive discussion. I'll go ahead and lock this one now before it devolves further. -
Well I tried to let it stand (with some judicious modification), but obviously this topic is not appropriate at the current time. I'll be back later to look through the thread and deal with any potential rules issues.

This one is going all kinds of bad places. Locking it

Trial accounts are a great way to try out a game without committing to buying.

Either way you choose, good luck! And I hope you have had fun in your time with us regardless.

We'll never tell.
EDIT:
I was in a Dev's SG before I started working here, but I was in the SG before he started working here too and I've known him for almost 15 years so that really doesn't count. -
The new meow is all sapper missions. Don't let out that I told you guys
-
Interesting list, mostly for public consumption however.
The rest of the discussion not so interesting. -
The best way of dealing with this issue is petitioning in game to the GM's or emailing customer service. Explain the issue and work with them. They are actually fairly reasonable and most issues can be worked out.
