Quote:Actually they do. The combat window doesnt just show bonuses it also shows totals, so when you add an alpha slot for more defense or resistance you will see the totals for those rise in the combat window. Just like any SO.they won't as they are not, as previously mentioned, a global BONUS and more akin to a global SO, or perhaps HO'ish in the case of alphas that affect multiple stats. The combat attributes window shows bonuses and penalties applied to your powers via buffs and debuffs respectively, be they from your own powers, teammates powers, or critters. The alpha slot doesn't apply any sort of bonus to you but works more as an "inviso-slot" to all of your powers...or at least all of your powers that normally accept the particular type(s) of enhancement.

Are you sure you understand how the Alpha slot will work OP? They will be affected by ED, even the very rare ones. They are NOT global bonuses.
-
It makes sense. After all if you become stronger but everything becomes more difficult than nothings really changed. So old stuff should be easier and new harder stuff should be introduced.

Well I earned enough vanguard merits before hand to purchase one component and did a single hami run which earned me 11 shards that I used to craft the last two components.

Quote:Actually thanks to the new incarnate system getting perma hasten in Granite wont have to come at a great sacrifice.Actually I believe it is possible to get perma-Hasten in Granite armor. It's absurdly expensive and requires pretty much totally gimping yourself in a lot of ways since practically every single power is focused on recharge bonuses, but it's possible.
Of course the more practical thing would be to try to get 50-60% recharge or so to counteract the Granite penalty, and then pile on all the runspeed boosts you can get. -
Quote:Not exactly like that but if you attempt the new TFs without an alpha slot of any kind you will get a major debuff. With respect to choosing your Alpha Slot, does the i19 content adversely affect any specific statistic so that you might need to slot the Alpha Slot to compensate? For example,
1. If your character already has enough endurance, that might indicate that you don't need to choose Cardiac. But if the i19 content had super-sappers, that might be a reason to choose Cardiac.
2. If your character already has enough accuracy, that might indicate that you don't need to choose Nerve. But if the i19 content debuffs Accuracy, that might be a reason to choose Nerve. -
I think youre confused about what a proc is. Procs are things that have a chance of firing. The stealth IO does not have a chance of firing, its always on as long as the toggle is on.

Uh oh here it comes. Know this OP, the market is perfect, there is nothing wrong with anything and because you posted this in the technical questions forum instead of the market forum you might just live. ; )

Quote:The way I like to save up influence is to earn alignment merits and sell LotG's. If you do 5 tips a day on two characters and sell the LotG's for around 100mil each you can earn a billion influence in less than a month. When you do and before you spend it, take a screenshot of yourself showing the 1 billion in your stats and post it in the Market subforum to join the Billionaires club. If you include a top hat and monocle, while doing /e teabag, you can be an "Ebil Marketeer Billionaire" too.

Im sorry but all I could think of when I read the title of this thread was Master Blaster asking "who runs the forums?"
-
Ok I see I guess I was mistaken because I already had around 200 merits and I just assumed that I got 50 more, thanks.
-
So I know that the first morality mission gives you 50 reward merits instead of an alignment merit. My character just went from villain to hero and received his 50 reward merits a few days ago. Today however he just finished another morality mission reaffirming his hero alignment and received 50 reward merits again. Is that supposed to happen?

Sorry no solution here but I just wanted to let you know I also feel your pain this virus was a PITA and forced me to do a reinstall of Windows >_<

Quote:Right its not accurate to claim you have a certain global recharge without qualifying that you are using a non-permad hasten to reach that number. Its simply the convention that non-perma hasten is exluded from claims about ones global recharge bonuses as most people are talking about just the bonuses they are getting from sets.right it doesnt make sense to count a power I have up more often than not...wait what? Ide like to see a permahasten in granite build out there that doesnt sacrifice survivability, if its even possible.
I did not want to post my build because it makes it look like Im asking for others builds; Im not. I know people can be extremely protective of their builds (especially SA ones) which is why I am asking for their totals. If thats giving away too much still, then uh...keep not responding?
Is my end going to be an issue? -
Quote:Ah I wasnt factoring in hasten since it doesnt make sense to claim you have a certain global recharge bonus when it depends on a power that will be down for more than a minute at a time...that is my rech bonus IN granite. The 4 or 5 lotg's really shine, and its really the only part of my build thats gonna take me a little to get. Merits ftw.
More accurately you have a -12.5% debuff in granite with an occasional boost to +57.5%. -
The recharge bonus will not be that much in granite as it has a recharge debuff.

Quote:Right that would be a graphics card downgrade....Windows 7, and a Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT.
This thing devours Max settings graphics like nobodies business
Quote:As has been suggested, move to a 64-bit OS to fully utilize your full memory complement.
Other than that, I'd wait to upgrade and just save up some cash (get a fire extinquisher for the burning). The only caveat is if some insanely great deal happens by on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving in the US, this coming Friday the 25th) or Boxing Day (the day after X-Mas).
I do hesitate to upgrade to 64bit because of that whole annoyance with unsigned drivers, have they changed that lately? -
Yeah Ive got the ASUS m4n82 Deluxe which is an am2+ socket but can support the AM3 socket. I just updated its BIOS to latest version which supports the 965. My budget is right around 250-300 so is the suggestion still the gtx 275 even though I wont need a new motherboard?
-
Ok so Ive got a little bit of money burnin a whole in my pocket and can't decide what to buy. Right now Ive got a Phenom 9950, a gtx 260 (no extra shaders), 4GB of RAM in Vista32, and my resolution is at 1920x1200. Would upgrading to the Phenom II 965 or GTX 275 give me a bigger boost in performance?
This isn't just for CoX but for gaming in general. Also, please no suggestions for switching to intel I have no plans to buy another mobo atm.
