I'd like to see more regional zones or a "Round the World" theme and take us away from East Coast USA.
Ideas include:
1.) Alps, Himilayas, or Mountaious Region. Could include some shifts in snow cover, so that the lower elevations are not covered in snow like the higher elevations. If it's a European Mountain, there could be an expanded Malta, Crey, Council/5th colomun base. Asain Mountains could include an expanded roll for the Tsoo, maybe trying to invade a hidden Shangra La, and a Yeti Giant Monster.
2.) Bayoue or Tropical forest Region. Maybe a mad scientist is using it as an expanded area or maybe something akin to a Brotherhood of Mutant-esque group's base camp (I think our Mutie bad guys are really lacking). Perhaps Outcasts can be filled out.
3.) South West desert lands. Maybe there is an area 51 thing going on for more Kheldian/Rikti stuff or a secrete Super-Soldier program gone horribly wrong. Or expanding on the time travel, make Wild West signature heroes with a high noon show down with that good for nothin' low life Recluse and his nasty vermants.
4.) Would also be cool to have an "Around the World" zones that are explicitly stated to be large cities in other countries. -
I had two... kinda...
The first is a TA/Arch defender named Splinter Arrow, who has the ability to freeze time. The catch is, that when time is frozen, he can only move what he was directly touching when he entered Null Time as I called it. Anything else would feel like it was bolted in place. It did allow him to take his time making shots and manifested as him teleporting and runing at superspeeds.
The other was a contact for an abandoed AE mission, who could time travel to any point in history so long as he had a primary source of the events (e.g. newspaper, youtube footage, and radio events.) and rigged the AE technology to send heroes to these events. -
I think part of the problem with the recent griefers is now we are number one. It was not a year ago when Freedom was always yellow during peak hours and virtue was green with occasional dips in yellow if something was going on. But recently, that's changed. For reasons beyond me (PvP stuff?), Virtue is now the only yellow I've seen during peak hours. Which gets me thinking that the problem isn't that we're official, but that we're populated. There is going to be a team for L337-H4xor to join in addition to Katgirl Katie. Which is why people who are new to CoX b-line to Virtue. We have the numbers for play.

I'm interested somewhat.
I want to lean to brute (the concept would be middle-aged bounty hunter that turned to gene splicing to give himself an edge. Works for a pay check.) or a Night Widow Academy wash out that is slightly unhinged from previous conditioning.
Can't do anything right now, as I'm away on vacation and enjoying life too much to get onto CoX. -
This is comic book land. We are kings of forgetting bad stories that never happened.
For instance:
Peter Parker never made a deal with the devil.
Nightcrawler was never an unwilling pawn in an anti-Catholic plot.
Jean Grey... well, some people are convinced that she stayed dead (after which resurrection, that's were we don't agree.).
Just ignore it. If it becomes a problem with how you interact with the character, explain to them that you don't want YOUR character dragged into personal relationships with a cannon (signature) character. Don't criticize the other person's choice about their character, that's their choice. Normally, it shouldn't be an issue where a fellow VG-mate doing Mako should interfere with your game play. If it is, however, that is good enough reason to find a new VG. -
It keeps going back to an update from June 24th of this date. Out of date, to say the least and defiantly a problem

This topic is now about (puts sunglasses off) CSI MIAMI
Yeaaaah!!!!!
Wait, wrong gag. Continue on. -
I was wondering if there was a SG/VG that operated as a sort of Suicide Squad like entity.
For those of you who don't know, Suicide Squad is a DC comic book title where the "heroes" of the series are actually villains. The premise is that the US government would has some problem that they don't want other people to know they are involved with, so they hire the Super-villains to take care of the problem in an attack that they can deny involvement with. In return, the villains get a commuted sentance and pardon for any crimes committed while operating in the Suicide Squad.
I was wondering if there was a group like this on CoX or if there would be any interest in playing one either as an open group or a static team. -
Anyone got one? I hear good things about it, but never see a build.

Same here. Says there is a connection failure, like one of us is down, but everything is working fine. network wise.
-
I was also thinking a Preatorian Arachnos.
-
I think the original poster wanted to do a crisis-crossover ala Marvel's Civil War or any of DC's Crisis series. I don't see it working, as we have a glut of people who will or won't join, every one will want to be the star, and the idea is out of character for the Freedom Phalanx in my opinion.

Sorry about that. Storms were in the area the other day, and my internet tends to be loopy when they are. For days afterwards. So with cable and net out, I watched Gran Torino and fell asleep.

I however get off of work at 7 pm EST. Bumping back means I can't join the fun. Another night, but I cannot get on until that time on any of them.
-
I'm good for Thursday as well, but I'm Golden for everyday of the week after 7 PM EST.
I'm also thinking of re-rolling Break Away as a DM/Invul (I've been thinking about it alot at work today, and a boost to End that DM gives would be nice). Thoughts? -
This will be really good for my Martian Manhunter themed character. But being a shapeshifter, I already used vastly different costumes to simulate shapeshifting, but now with the ability to have a female variant...
I also had a character idea for a guy who used animal mutagens based on different situations. I regained interested after using the super serum CCE. -
FF/Energy defenders can now be green and less subtle about who they are a homage too.

I'm just going to get this out of the way right now and be done with it: It's a Nemesis Plot.
-
I went in to create a character this morning, only to find that my HEATS and VEATS were locked... considering I have a 50 on both sides AND have previously made a Widow and a Peacebringer, this comes as a surprise. Anyone care to comment one what might be causing it?

I'm currently working on my fourth Inv/SS and yes, it is as good as those praising it say. The build is a late game bloomer, but like most everything else, if you get it over the 1-20 it becomes a lot easier (and funner) to use. For me, it's the only tank combo I have really loved (playing my fourth) and, while it may not be the best, with Stone/ and Willpower/ being more defensive options, consider this: Inv/ has been nerfed two times and it is somewhere close to the third best defense, mostly because it is very well rounded. Just don't get thinking you can stop psychics.

Had a scare when it told me I was trying to log on as an unauthorized user a second ago.
Now it's back to DBserver. Which is good, right?
For a moment, I thought they were finally banning farmers.
