The only EB I've had problems with on my DM/EA were malaise (debuff'd to high heaven and fears all over the place) and the DE hero in Eden who just slowed me into oblivion. Can't say I've had any other real problems with my Scrapper. never really came across any EB's with my Elec/Fire as it was pretty much all teams to 50.

Aww! i really REALLY want an Elec melee Scrapper but I guess I could roll another tank, just for elec melee. I want my Lightning Rod Criticals!

Well, they are wearing Vision enhancement goggles so they have enhanced perception. Same with Rikti Drones.

I have to say yes. I've done the ITF several times on my BS/Invuln and done quite well. Admittedly she can get a bit of a pasting if she's not careful and it involves liberal use of parry (auto'd so whenever I change mobs it fires) but I've even done one run where I was 'tank' and although I had thermal buffs I did alright. I can see why a Regen could suffer badly though. This is despite the def-debuff the romans do. Without Parry I really wouldn't last long!

Coh has issues with dual monitor setups. Close on of them down and it should be fine. Long standing issue I'm afraid.

Yep, as it stands the duration is the same as the recharge so evena TO or DO will give you enough time to cast it almost at your convenience. AFAIk it's exactly the same as Superjump, it just has a cast and recharge.

Well, in defence of the ad's I had no idea the movie was coming and just sought out the trailer on the apple site, so it has worked to a certain extent. I'll wait until it's on Sky movies though!

I presume this is conjecture and idle speculation on your part? I've seen nothing about this but it would certainly be welcome.

I'd recommend consume and slotting with a set of some sort. My Brute has Elec/FAand was very much an end hog but 3 slotted Stamina and 6 slotted consume with 4x Perf Shifter and 2x Efficacy adaptor has really helped and I rarely run out of end now.

TBH you'll always be a bit squishy with EA, it's not one of the best sets for a Brute, even worse than SR on Scrappers and it's one of those very frustrating sets that can be on a roll for 3-4 mobs then suddenly all the rolsl go against you and you're face down in about 2 seconds as everya ttack hits you.

it's being looked into apparently but don't expect anything major until i13 more than likely. All i can really say is take everything from EA! You might manage without conserve power or Energy Drain but remember energy Drain is auto hit so you might want to take it in case of those long drawn out AV fights. One thing I will say is that you might think about Tough and Weave to boost your S+L and overall Defence. Means more toggles and makes for a very tight build though!

First blaster I played that could actually help the team without taking aggro from them and I just LOVES energy Torrent! Gun Drone helpsloads as well and ghave me an excuse to pick it when i didn't even consider it previously.

Darkest Knight, lvl 38Fire/Fire. My very very first toon, 3 days after launch and one which I find so frustrating to play. He can be absolutely brilliant one mission then spends the next mission more dead than alive. He manages to pull aggro from other blasters and has even managed it from a few tanks in his time. Spends more time face down than standing up and thus almost on permanent retirement but I just can't quite bring myself to delete him, being my first toon. I seriously doubt he'll ever get to 50 and if he did the game would end and no one could play anymore as the Universe would implode with the unlikeyhood of him ever getting to 50.

Listing your PC spec would help a great deal in identifying any other issues which may be causing these problems. if your laptop has an 'onboard' graphics chip, and Is uspect it does by your intel mention, then these really aren't designed for gaming and you might have a hard time running the game at all!

Try running the game in safe mode (when it checked for patches, you click next then there's a tick box for 'safe mode'. Try that.

Or, it could be an apology for the way the announcing (or rather not) of the problem was handled? No disrespect to GR, he did a good job finding out what was going on once the problem had come to light. But the fact that the first most people knew about it was when a player posted on the boards, and many people had no advance warning to make alternate arrangements, seems to me to make a little free game time a nice gesture.

Aren't EA just publishing WAR? I mean buying out or starting their own Dev studio or something.

Hmmm, it would appear they own Mythic. I guess most large publishers will be looking for space in MMO land. After all, no pay, no play. Piracy isn't an option with most MMO's.

This is the way I see it.

There are few licences out there that will appeal to the mainstream PC owning player that an MMO must convert into subs. Star Wars, really, should have been and possibly should be the MMO to Rule them All. It's got the licence, the history, the geekiness and the mainstream pulling power to do it. The unfortunate thing was Sony messed it up and, possibly, it was developed too soon before people could genuinely feel as if they were in the SW universe with the graphics tech not really being able to do the SW universe justive with it's richly developed lore and artwork from the movies and other sources until quite recently. You could also say it came before widespread broadband access that wasn't at financially crippling levels. If anything Star Wars should have been able to grind WoW into dust along with just about every other MMO out there.

Star Trek is possibly another licence that can try and de-throne WoW. It has the geekiness, the general acceptance of the lore and history. It all depends on how Cryptic do it.

DC Online is another that might have the capability to at least give WoW a run for it's money. I'm still not 100% sure that consoles will be able to handle MMO's and still allow integration at the level PC players expect. This, of course, also applies to ST:O as well.


Champions online will no doubt garner a lot of attention but as a genuinely interesting and catchy hook for brand new players I'm still not 100% convinced. Can an original IP (to most people CO is a brand new licence, it certainly was to me) Super hero game survive alongside another, already established Superhero MMO? I'm not 100% they'll both be successful. I'm sure they'll survive, but success and survival are very different.

It's sure to be an interesting 12-24 months in MMO land. not forgetting Jumpgate, Black Prophecy, Stargate Worlds, APB and all the other interesting MMO's coming soon!

One thing I do thing has been apparent recently is I believe people are getting a bit sick of elves, orcs wizards and tauren. They want something different and the large amount of Sci-Fi MMO's being developed shows that, for once, developers and publishers have got it right. (I hope).

One last thing, I fully expect EA to really jump on the MMO bandwagon in a big way soon. How I'm not sure but there's still rumour and speculation they're aniffing around NCSoft!

Ok, so, I don't mean to upset anyone, but seeing as it's an issue outwith NCSoft's control and it's not your fault, should you really be giving out free game-time at all? I applaud the giving of the free game time, it's a very welcome gesture but ever so slightly unfair to those people who are paying for the same time these people are getting for free.

I know when I dabbled on the US servers a couple of weeks ago it was a nightmare trying to do anything. you couldn't send or reply tot ells, you couldn't speak in broadcast at all to state your interest in the teams being broadcast for. basically I felt like I was dumb, blind and Mute all at the same time. It was very difficult and if I didn't know how much fun the game was I'm not sure I'd pay and continue playing.

The current restrictions are too much at the moment. Somewhere in between what there was before and what there is now is required.

I don't mean to decry your efforts GR, K, Palladium, but direct interaction with the developers of the game would be great. You guys do a sterling job, everyone agrees but it's just better if they could show us they're listening, rathr than just saying they are.
