    Any new advice? I did talk to a nice guy in Sirens last night that was on an Ill/ta that seemed to do well. I havent seen any /Thermal controllers though lately, or /cold.

    Will continue my search! Thanks to all that respond. Probably going to roll this toon before Wednesday before I head outta town.


    Doms give me more trouble than anything else on my Ice/Cold.

    I`m not sure on the chain, i would guess blaze arrow>snap shot> aimed shot> snap shot>Stun> blaze arrow etc.

    Wouldnt take WoC myself except maybe on a cheaper build as an IO holder.

    No, dont slot hold procs in your attacks, if they trigger it will mess up your stun.

    Yes, you are wrong about RoA.

    TK thrust would be useful i guess and since it is a level 4 power, you almost have to take it with such limited options.



    Take my advice with pinch of salt , i have only played like two matches as Archery and none as */MM
  4. You're not missing anything on the TA front BB, Musey wants a troller TA instead.

    I had an Ill/Therm i found it effective but boring, probably just my taste. I`m sure It would be one of the best Troller toons to learn on though.

    The Ice/Cold i love, good for duels and teams, there is better for both but it is good. Im not so sure if it is ideal to start on. Imo, it is easier to play something with a self heal (and/or massive damage)

    While i loathe SD and wish there was an off option, it does give my Ice/Cold a (very ****) way to beat MMs when it normally couldnt.

    While the ladder times were fantastic, it was a massive commitment if you wanted to win and I personally dont have the energy or motivation for that currently. A ladder looks a long way off regardless.

    There maybe enough for a few seperate small groups but whether there is enough that want to do more than casual kickball is another matter. Things have been going really well recently but like devine said, PvP was reset and it is still in its infancy. I`m sure if the kickballs stay as active as they have been a few cliques will start to form and perhaps they will eventually create their own groups.
  10. So long as you can get enough $ for KB IO's and build for some hps and have phase or hib, youd be fine. You have a very nice selection to choose from.

  12. While i havent tested the numbers myself, according to Mids and the ingame numbers, Sonic does more damage than Archery.
  13. What a fantastic idea! PvE is far to easy as it is. Adding a harsh DR curve would bring some balance back to the PvE game and remove such a gap between the high end IO builds and the SO builds.

    How refreshing it would be to not have to worry about bringing along a support toon to TF's or PuGs.

    I really hope they fix the bug with Kinetics granting unsupressed movement, it is unfair the PvPers get such prompt bug fixes but us PvEers have to put up with buggy kinetics powers.

  16. The devs change everything for these mythical new pvpers, if one does stumble into an arena on freedom they ***** constantly. Let them go pick daisies with the Red Caps, we wont be worse off for it.
  17. I've been having fun with my Psi/EM in the Kickballs and it is great and all, pimp range, mini spike, smooth attack chain etc but i'd quite like to be able to stun the target from range and well i dont see scramble thoughts as a viable option.

    What would you choose as a team blaster between Arch/EM, Son/EM and Rad/EM ?
  18. I dont have any mind toons at all yet but from having TK used on me a few times it seems just like a long (by todays standards) hold which gets interupted by damaging the person. Great for setting up AS's or taking an emp out while the team spike a different target etc.

    I would do the drop levitate or mesmerize and take TK and slot up LS and 02 boost idea.

    It would be nice to keep the extra slots from the travels, as it is definatly a tight build. Im an end hog with almost every toon, so its a must for me.
  19. There hasnt been many storms in the KB's but i do think they could be very effective if played right and im considering speccing one of mine out also. It has been a 2-3 years since i played storm regularly however i doubt much has changed play style wise.

    i think you should slot out 02 boost for more than just the hps bonus. while it's no heal other it is great to have on the team to help out. You will want TK. LS is so underslotted i want to cry. your travels need more slotting imo. why not not 5 dark watchers instead of 3 + dampened ? youd still get +2% dam but youd also get +5% recharge.
