as the sudden death timer ticks, everyones max hp decreases. by the time its almost up a 1600hp toon is down around 200 or so but thats an estimate since i am usually freaking out too much by the time i get around 300 to keep watching my #s.
and yes i agree, its sucks that we cant turn it off.
Does the second sudden death drop you down to like 5 HP because it seems that way? Or does it just continue to drop your HP like in the first 30 seconds?
I heard somewhere it drops you to like 1 HP, so the very next attack kills you. So basically you just have to get ANY attack off before the other guy....or make sure there's a DoT on the other guy when the timer hits. That's basically a guaranteed win.
I've yet to see it myself since I haven't done arena in years, but the whole idea is such a joke, it makes perfect sense why these devs introduced it. And even more sense why it's not optional.
no its not immediate, it decreases over time. still sucks though...
if a match goes to sudden death most people just say gg and accept the match results as a draw. theres nothing wrong with a tie once in a while.
Ok, because last night we made it through the first 30 seconds of sudden death and a second sudden death message popped up, and as soon as it did I was dead. I had popped a few greens right before the second sudden death message popped up but I was still killed instantly with one shot. I guess it was just bad luck.
I'll have to test this out tonight.
Yeah the second sudden death is the old sudden death, basically first damage dealt when timer hits 0 wins. I hate check boxes but this one really is needed. 2 people fight to a tie, even if someone ran the whole match, they earned a tie. This every encounter needs to resolve idea they have for pvp is nuts.

I'm under the impression your resistances also decay gradually while in Sudden Death mode.
Please add a "No Suddden Death" click, ties aren't inimical to gameplay...

wow this problem has been going on for over 2 years now and no one tried to fix it yet, a stalker just the other day stayed in hide the entire 11 minutes of the fight then at the last 20 seconds of the game she assassin strikes me, then brags on broadcast that she won, something that low and cheap should not excist
How does sudden death work for arena? I have a pretty good idea of what happens but I'm not sure how it works exactly. There is a sudden death, then a second sudden death timer. What exactly goes on during the two? They seem like a blur to me. Sudden death happens, then one of us die in a blink of an eye.
And to go on record, sudden death blows! They need to either remove it or give us the option to turn it off.
