    Joe, what's your attack chain?

As it is you can run RS>GB>GE. Or if you grab reactive and a little more recharge in RS, you can swap glinting eye for gleaming bolt and get a touch more dps.
  3. THB, TBH I got some things we can do, THB

-You don't need the third slot in Hasten for perma.
-You can get a tiny bit more damage out of Grav Well by swapping the Heca Acc/Rech for the Damage one (you will still have enough recharge to fit in your chain easy, and your acc should be fine, especially with perma mire).
-As you will probably never use Ebon Eye, I would take that Apoc Damage and put it in Shadow Blast (replace the Acc/Dam/Rech with it in SBlast)
-The AA: chance for -tohit is really crappy, but that's just an opinion.
-I'm concerned about your survival in a no-eclipse fodder scenario without the human shields; from what you are saying it seems your defense covers it though?
-You might get more mileage out of an Efficacy Adapter: Endredux/Endmod in Stygian circle.

So electric will be able to do the free AS now with any secondary with spring attack, but Ninja blade and Broadsword will now be able to do it too with ninjutsu since their assassination activation times are slightly longer: Caltrops>BU>spring>AS

Dual blades and claws might be able to do it too, depending on the redraw time of those weapons.
  5. If you need the recharge, spiritual works. Elec/nin tends to be a little bit endurance heavy ime, so cardiac if that is true for your build. If your endurance is ok and you don't explicitly need the recharge, musculature will give you some more damage. Nerve is the only one I think is rather worthless.

Oh, well then if I switch all IO's to max level, it looks like you have enough recharge to steal one slot from hasten and still be perma.

I think that +end proc in lightform will only have a chance when you initially click it since it isn't a toggle, but I'm not completely sure there.

It looks like you plan to exemp, since you've got a bunch of lvl 35 IO's. But if you do exemp, aren't you going to want the shields?

That looks better, but ideally you're gonna want 3.96s recharge on Chain Induction, as well as some more recharge in hasten. If you don't mind using more purples you can try this:

You also need to include your average damage bonus from buildup, plus assault if you have it and set bonuses, add in any procs, and then apply the tohit clamp. But no, that will not be considered "high."

You can turn that off in mids so that it only shows the defense value you would have while in combat. Go to Options>Configuration>Effects & Math and under "Suppression" check "Attacked."

As to the build, it depends on what (if) you are planning to do for incarnate powers, because you have two big problems that would both be taken care of by Ageless: your recharge is a bit low for the top regular chain, and your endurance consumption is going to kill you. Ageless Core will help both of those, and combined with Spiritual Core could probably fix your recharge entirely.

You might want to grab some more AoE defense, for which you can sacrifice a little of your melee defense.
Otherwise you have pretty good power choices. I would replace Smoke Flash with Hibernate; Smoke Flash isn't nearly as good, and you can still get a temp power version of it if you really want it.

Nightchill is using base (unslotted) numbers, and it looks like without crits; on top of that, the numbers seem to be a little off, making the dps lower than it really is.

Example: base dps of that Dark Melee chain without Build Up, counting 10% crit rate (which is base) should be 66.86. If you apply the tohit clamp, that becomes 63.52. But even if I took out the 10% crit that would be 57.74.

Unless, of course, my mids numbers are off.

I am pretty sure its recharge actually is 90 seconds and that is a bug on the description in beta, based on what others have said and how long it took to recharge on a build I tested it with. At least I hope it is a bug

A 1.716 arcanacast also means Caltrops>Spring>Waterspout>AS wont quite work...

I'm not too concerned with missing out on BU>Spring as its dpa looks to be roughly on par with CB (with 10% crit), and thus just using the regular chain after AS will get you more out of the BU cycle.

Heck, you could use your self heal during that time.
If I'm reading you right, that wouldn't work because we need a total activation time of 8 seconds between a direct attack and AS landing. But we could just base it around Caltrops' recharge time like so:

    Caltrops>BU>LR>AS>(fill with CI>CB>JL>CB until Caltrops is recharged)>Caltrops>Spring Attack>Waterspout>AS.

Again this assumes Spring Attack's arcanatime is the same as LR, but as Caltrops recharges twice as fast as LR, that could work to boost dps some more...

Oh nevermind, not quite as smooth without BU.
What's the arcanatime for spring attack? We could rearrange some things and maybe make that work. If it is the same as lr you might pull off BU>Caltrops>lr>AS>spring attack>waterspout>Caltrops>AS...

    Or not, silly Caltrops recharge.

I didn't think about spring attack being a pseudopet...this bodes well.
  17. Even on my "human" build I still have both forms, if for nothing else (in the case of dwarf) than they give extra slots for set bonuses. Nova's fantastic AoE damage is just too good to pass up most of the time.

Actually Elm can be quite competitive if you use the pseudopet nature of lightning rod to pull of a "free" AS as recharge permits (works best with ninjutsu). Details of this are in my guide.

    kat/ela build

I can't look at the build at the moment, but if you are able to go for musculature get the radial t4, as that will boost the end mod of powersink; throw another couple of endmods in powersink to combine with that and it becomes a seriously potent mitigation tool.

Also, you said you were capped to melee, what about lethal? It's best to get both if you can, because the lethal will protect you from several ranged and aoe attacks too, which frequently have defense debuffs attached.
  20. Brute (because of Gloom) and Stalker (because of AS) versions are generally better for single target damage, though I haven't checked numbers with /sd. I really doubt you would beat your brute's time with an elec/sd scrap. However, Scrapper AoE damage should be better because the pet damage cap is the same for all AT's, and Scrappers get a higher base damage on the pseudopets LR and SC.

If we were looking at, say, a build with five LotGs you'd almost have a point. But we're not, are we? Oh, no, the first one has *A* set of thunderstrikes, look at my capped ranged defen... wait, barely have any. I can outdo what the *few* pieces I have in there give me with single small inspirations. So, yeah, quit whinging that Voidbane's "not a pure SO build." It's close enough to make no difference.

And just because YOU don't know how to run the second build doesn't mean *I* don't. (Hmm. Rather like Knockback use....) No sitting and waiting needed. That second one? I've run her since issue *4.* ON... guess what. Go ahead, guess. Hint 1, those HOs are newer for the most part than the alpha slot. Hint 2, IOs didn't exist when I rolled her OR got her to 50. It is a true Triform build, not a "forms with human buff" build. The build's morphed - it's pretty much respecced to try something different with a triform about once a year, quite honestly, different emphasis on different areas - but that's where it was when Alpha came out (haven't redone it since.)
Wow, the amount of venom dripping from that post is a bit shocking. By the way, I didn't say "You can't do that on pure SOs," I said "Ya on SOs that's probably not going to happen," because I didn't quite pull it off on SOs either.

Also, notice the part of my post about the second build ended with a question mark. That meant I was asking a question.

On knockback, while I dislike it in certain powers, I have always respected your opinion of it when you brought it up, which you can go back and check various threads for if you want.

I would normally ask you to enlighten me as to what I did wrong when I fought Honoree, because clearly it was something, but at this point I don't care what you have to say. I used to like you, but you have become such a complete *** in your "must defend peacebringers at all costs" crusade that I don't give a flying tentacle what you think. Nice job.

Um, neither of those are pure SO builds. The second one doesn't have end redux in the attacks, so I'm not even sure how you run it unless you sit around and wait for either lightform or conserve power, unless that's your form build? My build has two to three damage SO's per power with acc/rech/endredux as needed, and while I could get him downhe would pop his tier 9 or heal and I couldn't finish him in time of lightform.
  23. Post I21 will be this:

    Soldier

    Corr
    Widow

It depends on particular sets, but in general that's where I am. I won't really touch anything below controller except for very special circumstances.
