Here's one way of looking at it. Adaptations are taking something from one medium into another. The fact they aren't the same medium means the end products will be different. And how they work really depends on the perspective of the particular consumer of the product. Some people like the condensed "Cliff notes" aspect of a movie and don't like getting bogged down with the minutia that some authors bring to their works. (Personally I love when an author will spend a few pages describing the contents and history of a room) But any time you switch media you get a different product. And also alot of times which version of the product you saw/read/consumed first will likely paint your preference for which you think is the better version. Take the best most delicious hamburger you can think of. A painting of that same burger by the worlds greatest painter probably won't give you the same satisfaction as eating the burger. Someone who is an artlover yet never tried that burger before, may see the painting and think its wonderful and want to buy it and admire it. Then if they finally taste the burger they may not find it as satisfying as looking the painting, because that painting has taken on a certain interpretation in their mind and the burger may not measure up to it. Or they are a vegan. /shudder

I'll give it a little more time for more people to get slotted, although we seem to have alot of players slotted already. I'll give the official announcement when the official first run is scheduled. As with all ACTFs, it will be first come first served and no builds are required or banned. The only hard build rule for the Incarnate TFs will be alpha slotting and at this point I don't see tier being an issue. Just make sure you are slotted. Keep your eye's peeled!

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Although she's mostly known for lighter-fare type movies, she has had some pretty beefy serious type roles and gotten quite a bit of critical praise (yeah, she can act). I think it was very wise casting and I think she'll do great. Given that it's traditionally been a campy role it's going to be interesting to see what direction Nolan wants to take the part.

Level 6 is awfully early to try judging a set of it's worth, especially controllers. Patience, Grasshopper.

It's not defense that will make it a "viable solo'er". Ice/FF alone without def bonuses is a very safe build, the problem is damage output. i.e. stupify in repulsion bomb, no damage power from your APP, etc. The enemy isn't going to look and see a toon is softcapped and then just fall down and give up. To solo you have to defeat/arrest/kill/whatever the enemy. You'll be able to do it but very very slowly a little damage enhancement and a power or two will be quite helpful for this build. That build looks much more like a team build; and a decent one, but not a solo'er.

Silly, funny, goofy, smart and full of meta humor. There are a few of us around here that have crowed about it's virtues from the beginning. The minute long Troy and Abed stuff at the end of episodes is funnier than most full length sitcoms. Great, great stuff.

The thing I always liked about Chuck is they allowed the story to move forward and the characters to change. Unfortunately they've chosen to milk the whole "will they or won't they" far too long.

Yep, you heard right. It's time to dust off the ACTF (All Control Task Force: for those wondering) Before we have sign ups I need to see how many trollers (and Doms) are Alpha slotted. If there aren't enough slotted up I think we'll do a few ACTITFs or ACLGTFs to get those slots for those who haven't slotted out their trollers.

So for now, I just need to know who's alpha slotted and who needs slotting.
