***In the spirit of St. Patty's Day everyone dress their hero or villain or rogue or vigilante's' in green!*** -
A tank on an STF run right as they were about to start taunting Recluse and we'd just started on the towers.

"You're Mrs. Awesome."
"Cia? What kind of name is Cia?" -
I'm currently leveling up an ele/rad and one of my sgmates is running an ele/mental dom. Mobs stay pretty much mezzed and drained at all times. It's pretty fun to see what multiple electrics can do. ele/rad has an advantage of running choking cloud and having condusive aura take care of its heavy end requirements, plus its another layer of crowd control while you're in melee.

Is that where the level up animation comes from?

Quote:Not from the episode, they have been mentioning that it was their world before ours in the promo's for this half of the season.I dozed off a few times, so maybe I missed something, but when did we find out that lived on Earth at one point?
Also: You live in a galaxy 10 MILLLION LIGHT YEARS away, and the closest habitable planet you can find is Earth? It makes some sense if they originally came from here, but even so... extend a sphere 10 million light years in any direction and you can't find anything better?!
Also also: This show would have immediately become a hit if they played The Lonely Man theme as Sean walked off.
And the Lonely Man theme is exactly what I was thinking about at the end, too. -
Quote:Yes but anyone no matter powerset can take vengeance, fallout comes in a powerset with a rez in it. I think what Local means is, if you're going to go to the trouble of 'exploiting by exploding my dead corpse' (quotes for intintional hyperbole) at least have the decency to give me a hand when you're done; you have the options. I think his use of the word rude is intended to be a little more harsh than he really means, but I understand what he's saying.Just an aside, but I find this a bit odd. Since Fallout does no harm to the fallen and benefits the team, why would anyone consider it rude that it was used with or without a rez? People certainly don't expect one to have a rez simply because one has Vengeance. Heck, I find it difficult to fire off my Power Boost/Fallout/Vengeance combo before people are picking themselves up despite the fact that I've informed the team I can rez.

Well, it's looking like they aren't aliens actually. They once lived on earth and left for some reason and there is a faction of them that want to take earth back now that their current planet is unihabitable.

Thanks to those that came out for today's ACTF. And boy you couldn't have had two different runs. The first one went smoothly and ended up being a Master run just a few seconds over 30 minutes. The second run (after some alting by a few of us) went great until Battle Maiden and took a turn for the worse. We stuck with it and finished just over an hour but one badge shy of Master of..... But everyone had a great time and did an outstanding job.
Thanks to:
1. Flash Frozen Jen/Grendella Atta
2. Celtic Thermal/Celtic Apparition
3. McArchvillain
4. Siluria
5. Magma Carter/Mind of Matter
6. Master Elemental
7. Total Breakdown
8 Physics Lass (1st run)
9. Sunplant (2nd run)
Be on the look out for next weeks sign up! -
Seems painless enough if used in moderation. If someone gets all upset with you, they need to take a timeout and realize it's just a game.
My main villain has fallout and I have a bind something like: "Don't worry $target. I'll rez and revive you with Mutation in a second, but first I'm going to blow you up. I know it's evil, but hey, that's just me! Have fun and happy villainy!" Usually gets a chuckle from teammates. And no, I don't use it everytime. -
Yeah, when I build a TF team I try and keep a "come one, come whatever" attitude. If we 'need' something, I'll usually just grab one of my own toons that fit the bill, so whoever wants the [badge/reward/drops] can without being turned down because they 'don't fit the team'. I like oddball teams; they make it fun.

I made several characters my first few days I had the game and spread them across several servers. The first character I made I believe was a spine/regen that didn't last too long. My next was a fire/fire blaster, then an Ill/kin controller both got decent play. I also rolled a FF/Psi defender: Mental Maden and ended up leveling her up to 6 over the next few days. It was around level 6 that I realized that I'd spelled 'maiden' wrong (yeah, yeah, I know) , but couldn't even fathom rerolling and doing those 6 levels all over again. (Too be a noob again
)
I started leveling her up on Guardian as well as an Earth/Rad on Pinnacle. I had friends on both servers at that point, but decided to pick one so I could give a serious push to 50. I liked both characters about equally, so I decided to pick which server I wanted to be my "home". Guardian won and after leveling Mental up I rerolled the Earth/Rad on Guardian (slightly altered) and Mental later became my first 50 and the Earth/Rad my 2nd. -
Quote:Here you go.Also... is this what's on Test now? That's the Incarnate powers menu, and I'd DEARLY love to see what the other powers look like (mostly Interface and Destiny)...

If it means Issue 20 is delayed? No. Absolutely not. And I'm not even sure I'd be for delaying that particular slot if it was even possible. I have to side with GBE on this one. This is the direction the overall story is taking (whether we like it or not) and in the context of the Incarnate system we've been given, there is a reason these pets are what they are. Is it what I personally picture for an incarnate? Not really, and I understand (to an extent) why people don't like it. And while we all want our characters to be our characters we also have to accept that there are times (cue Mick Jagger) you can't always get what you want. It's true in life and it's true here.
While we all probably had our own ideas of what the Incarnate system would be, that's just not what we got. It is directly tied to the activities of Preatoria. The reason we are getting these powers is to deal with Cole. The system is all about fighting Cole (at this point). So if you're sick of Preatorian stuff and choose not to participate in Incarnate storyline or don't like TFs or Raids or forced teaming, then you don't need any of this anyway. If you want to do all of that, yet can't fathom the concept of the pets, then I guess don't use them. That seems to be an option. I just hope those pets aren't vital to succeeding in tasks as that will open a whole other can of worms on raids. 'We need more pets'.........'Sorry, don't have them. Wrong concept'..........Mission Failed! Is the petless Incarnate the new petless mastermind? We don't really know that answer, yet. I hope not.
If the system is a success and it is later decided that a new, worse threat is moving in, then maybe I can see as things are now, them adding additional "options or trees". I think the most reasonable solution is (as stated earlier) some type of amorphous entity, but I wouldn't be for that if it puts the upcoming issue off.
Just my take on things.
