That was helpful for recapping. What I just found amusing was, I was thinking of some additional questions before I realized I was mixing in the show with Harold/young Mr. Sulu and Shakespeare (I totally forgot the name and I'm not looking it up, since I'm glad I forgot). These 2 shows just seem so generically similar to each other. "Ooooo, something mysterious and freaky happened/is happening/will happen..."

Heard about this weeks on the radio, made me think of the ending to the re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica centuries later.

Unfortunately the mysteries weren't compelling enough to have me come back after a 3 MONTH! break.

Quit watching after 5 episodes last year . Not much happening and didn't look like it we really going anywhere buy who knows . Doubt I'll watch it but for those who will hope you enjoy it

I got bored with The Event pretty quick, so I'm not interested in it coming back.

This is the show that tried to outLost Lost. I just kinda stopped watching it. Got real tired of that guy trying to find his squeeze and the "Ooooh, what are they?!?!" angle.

Wait the Event isn't dead? Why isn't it dead?

I gave up on V a couple weeks ago, and I'd be shocked if this gets renewed. It's just not that interesting.

I actually rather liked The Event, but only after I started watching it on Hulu and completely skipping the OH SO BORING Sean/Leila plot line.

I've pretty much accepted that the show is dead/dying though, given the hiatus and what extended breaks tend to do to shows.

Wow, I just assumed this was cancelled, because it has some of the worst writing and acting I've ever experienced in a TV show.

Also, I was sorely disappointed that it turns out they really are just aliens. I really thought there'd be a more interesting explanation than that. Maybe there still will be.

Having said all that, I'll probably continue to watch it on Hulu as a way to shut my brain off for 45 minutes.

Well, it's looking like they aren't aliens actually. They once lived on earth and left for some reason and there is a faction of them that want to take earth back now that their current planet is unihabitable.

I dozed off a few times, so maybe I missed something, but when did we find out that lived on Earth at one point?

Also: You live in a galaxy 10 MILLLION LIGHT YEARS away, and the closest habitable planet you can find is Earth? It makes some sense if they originally came from here, but even so... extend a sphere 10 million light years in any direction and you can't find anything better?!

Also also: This show would have immediately become a hit if they played The Lonely Man theme as Sean walked off.

Not from the episode, they have been mentioning that it was their world before ours in the promo's for this half of the season.

And the Lonely Man theme is exactly what I was thinking about at the end, too.
