Can I just vomit now and get it over with?

These aren't the droids you're looking for.

Quote:How DARE you!!! I laughed plenty at the Flintstones.
The Flintstones as entertainment is pretty awful by today's standards. It had a laugh track. I don't remember ever actually laughing along (yes, I'm that old). Which was pretty typical of situation comedies of that era.
And the laugh track was ironic. -

Mine is at 47 and yeah its pretty slot hungry. I can't remember my slotting off the top of my head (at work), but I'll have a gander when I get home and give my thoughts.

Truely Gaiman, truely awesome. Fun episode rich with Who fan tidbits. Loved it. Must rewatch.

Quote:I think you owe us a drink.
We've had 30+ years of no Wonder Woman at all so even a short-lived "recent failure" would be better for us comic book geeks than nothing because at least it'd put the character back into the minds of the current generation of TV producers and give it a chance to picked up again by someone else who'd treat the property better before yet another 30 years goes by.

Me too. It's a "big picture" show though that needs time to tell it's story and Fox just doesn't have the patience (or taste) for that.
Human Target has a great cast, but a poorly limiting premise for a series. So did Lie to Me. (Sorry fans of those shows) But both had decent runs considering. -
I think many in this thread (this isn't pointed at anyone in particular) are taking an observational post and interpreting it as "DOOOOM! The devs hate Illusion! Whaaaaaaaah! Nerf!" etc etc. Local is just pointing out something that should be pretty obvious to anyone playing controllers. So put your pitchforks away people, it's O-K.

Quote:Yep, pretty awesome. It was great how so many of the actors in the Wire were from across the pond and you'd never have known watching the show. And yeah the 4th season was pretty awesome; and heartbreaking. I'm also a big fan of Season 2.It was driving me crazy. The guy playing Lord Baelish...I'd seen him somewhere before, but couldn't quite place him (the facial hair, the accent, etc.)
I finally checked IMDB, and it's the guy who played Tommy Carcetti on HBO's "The Wire" for three seasons. Love how HBO seems to keep bringing back their stars for other shows.
(And if you've never seen "The Wire" you should definitely check it out. Season 4 might be the best season of any TV show ever in the history of TV.) -
Weakest episode of the Matt Smith run so far. Next week looks fantastic though.

Quote:While I understand how his appearance is explained in the books, I actually think it works that he isn't portrayed as twisted and ugly. It shows the Lannister in him, but also the defect (that's perceived defect before anyone bows up on me). He's just goodlooking enough to be of that family. I think in a way, it's even more tragic. Plus Dinklage is such a good actor, it's worth a slight change in the character and I don't think covering up his facial reactions with makeup would benefit the performace. Bottom line: he IS Tyrion.I love the character in the books - indeed, I'd even go so far as to name him the actual protagonist of the story - and the actor has nailed the character in my eyes thus far (though I'd agree with a previous poster's SO's assessment that he's not ugly/physically twisted enough).

I truely believe this is the most underappreciated show on television. It's one of the few network shows that has a story that moves forward and every season they almost completely re-invent the show and aren't afraid to take it in completely different directions. I'm very curious where they are taking us next.
2 Walters working together........oh my.
The WTF-ness of the headshot to Dunham.
The Ella touch was neat.
Creepy eyed Senator Broyles was creepy.
Actually I did not like Astrids straight hair...much cuter au natural.
Thought we were going to get Olivia v. Olivia for a minute. -
Good, not great. The 3D adds virtually nothing; save a few bucks and see it 2D. Special effects: very good. Destroyer: very cool. Loki: good. Hemsworth was very good as was Hopkins (as always). Idris Elba is always supercool and awesome. Portman's character and story didn't really do it for me nor did the chemistry between her character and Thor. The Asgard stuff was much better than the Earth portions, but it is a nice set up for future Marvel stuff.

That is kind of the way I was about my Fire/Storm troller. I broke her out just after I'd +3'd my 3rd character only because of a discussion in the controller forums. I respec'd her, figured, heck might as well see how she runs through the trials. And I'm hooked all over again!

Just to be clear, my post had nothing to do with debating religion or wasn't intended to be or say anything more than it did and only pertaining to the OP and the discussion of this thread. So please noone take it for more than was written. (Not a fan of discussing politics or religion online anyway.)

One can be an atheist yet still have/show respect for religion. They aren't mutually exclusive.

No I would not save slots by making up for them with incarnate powers. Especially if you are talking end reduction, etc. On a fire/storm you want to get as much end reduction/+recovery/+end into the build BEFORE you even take cardiac.

I hope you got the FF mayhem. I have looked for you when I've logged on, but I think I've been just missing you.

Quote:Well part of those reasons in True Blood is because the Sookie books are all told from her perspective and there is nothing really told about what's going on "off scene" so more side plots needed to be added (or pulled from further down the line) or some of the actors would have been completely missing from entire seasons or demoted to cameos. Also I think after the first season, certain actors and characters were given expanded duties due to popularity and awesomeness and in some cases "reprives".Well in all fairness the HBO True Blood TV series has also ignored huge portions of the Stackhouse books so far. Yes they started to grab plot points that didn't come up until the later books earlier than expected. But technically they didn't -have- to do that. There was more than enough interesting material there that the TV show could have kept tight to the story presented in the books season to season and still been a fun show.
So my curiosity still stands: Will the Game of Thrones TV series stick to the linear plot presented in its source books forever or will it begin to "cherry-pick" bits of the story from different parts of the books to weave a reformulated version? Either way I'd expect it to be an interesting show. -
Totally unrequested update on my Fire/Storm's Incarnate progress.
Unlocked Judgement and now have Tier 3 pyronic (with chance for disorient! Hello Flashfire, Thunder Clap and Fissure. You have a new friend!) The last run I did I unlocked Interface where I will go the Fire Damage route. All those "ticks" of damage from Fire/Storm will be very extra special nasty with a 75% chance of a fire proc.
I'm not really sure why she seemed to get sidelined for Incarnate stuff; she's so much fun to play. -
