  1. Guardian! Guardian! Guardian! I have a couple Illusionists there and so does LocalMan. Just a suggestion.
  2. Nobody is advocating a controller not attacking. But damage is not where a controller's "true power" is. A controller will never be a better tank or never be a better blaster, they will always be better controllers. That's what we're saying. And I defy you to show me a viable build that does "tons" more damage compared to it's standard build. Maybe "some" more damage, but not tons. The idea that a controller is somehow just a "sidekick" if they don't emphasize damage, is silly and just plain wrong.

My guess is they probably came from "that other game" and haven't learned yet that we don't condone that behavior over here. Soft capping is nice, but it's just a tool, not a requirement.
  4. They are there so you'll drop them and then not be able to drop the mission you really want to drop.
  5. Soon to be: One of us, One of us, One of us.

(I'm a newish convert myself. I caught a marathon weekend on BBC America one holiday season that pretty much covered the reboot years before the 11th doctor took over. I've been hooked ever since. Enjoy!)
  6. Exactly what Local said. The line I quoted said the "true power" of controllers isn't support or "mezbotting" (a term I don't understand anyway...what the heck is wrong with mezzing, especially on controllers). That is far from the truth. The true power of a controller is in being that force multiplier on a team. I've always looked at the controller as the battlefield general. You have to be much more aware of the mobs and you can dictate where the action will be and who you weaken and who you strengthen. I know a lot of people want to think that support is somehow a bad thing or weak or less than DPS. I say, you want to feel powerful? Lock down three mobs for your team with enough controls to handle that extra mob the mouth breathing scrapper just aggro'd. Then watch a blaster go in completely untouched and nuke one group while a scrapper almost one shots another and a few defenders finish off the third with hardly a HP dropped or endurance lost. The red numbers aren't where a controllers powers are, I'd argue the purple and blue and orange make them powerhouses.

I'm not even going to go into how wrong this comment is and what about it is so wrong. It's sad really, but unfortunately a trend too often seen these days.

But back to the OP- I don't care how good or bad it is; there is an Ill/Time in my future.
  8. So many classic lines in one episode. Great stuff.
  9. Here and I thought it was bad when I added an extra zero to an order of 10 photonic weapons the other day. Ended up paying 150 million instead of 15.
  10. I actually think its a pretty accurate listing. Sure some could be jumbled around here and there, and I too would have included the Office US. Have to say I agree 100% with #1.

Why is it illegal to scalp?
But it's not illegal everywhere. I live in a state where its been legal to scalp since 1989. Only like 13-20 states have scalping specific laws making it illegal. Many cities have some regulations, but a lot of them are just limitations to where you can scalp and how many tickets you can scalp or that you have to pay a license. But its far from universally illegal to scalp tickets.

    Are they back up yet?

I see what you're doing there.
  13. Kheldians, I've tried and tried. Can't do it.
  14. Favorite AT: Controller
Favorite powerset: Earth Control with Illusion a very close second.
  15. 7) Someone who doesn't do TF's or at least the low level TFs.

And I can completely understand why people would hate it.
I went into it thinking there was no way it was as bad as I'd heard. I was wrong. And it's not so much that it was "bad" it was just painfully boring and completely uninteresting. And this is coming from someone that prefers talky indie movies. It's the type of movie that can only come from a directors ego. It was a bedtime story he'd told his children and he figured that if his children liked it so much, the rest of the world would as well. Wrong.

Heh, one of my all time favorite movies. Everyone's cup o' tea? Nope. Bloated and melodramatic? Yep! But it's a clinic on great acting and well conceived scenes. I love it.
  18. The Lady in the Water. Paul Giamatti, Bryce Dallas Howard, Freddy Rodrigez, Bob Balaban and Jeffrey Wright (not superstars, but all very good and respected actors) couldn't even make this M. Night ego project palatable. It was awful.
  19. It kind of feels similar to Dark City. Looks cool.

    Two very true points.
  21. One thing to remember Debbie is a bat @#$* crazy V addict. Even if she seems "Ok" now, don't expect her road to stay smooth long. Yes the show deviates from the book, but I'd imagine this storyline will likely play out eventually.

If I had a good day, I'll the email influence to my latest project as she (the marketeer) is influence capped. If I'm running low on items to sell I'll buy and craft and put new ones up. In total I won't spend more than 5 minutes marketing.

And I never really intended to be a marketeer until one 2xp weekend I went to buy an enhancment and after looking at the difference between the cost of the recipe and the cost of the crafted enhancement I decided to give it a try and the rest is history. (And like Clave Dark 5, I believe it was funded by a single purple recipe from that weekend). I have one definite market niche and I also have another character that is kind of my floating marketeer. If I see what looks like a short term niche I'll try it for a round or two of enhancements then move on to the next one. That charcter is sitting about 1.6 billion and has also funded many other characters as well doing her "floating marketing". Now my toons can get all the pretty shineys they want.
