  1. Some of the things are going to be the same between the PB and WS. Others... well, just consider what you want, as far as accuracy, recharge, damage, etc. And remember, not more than 3 of any one type in a power.

You will end up loving powers you can just take and not slot, so you can move those slots elsewhere. (Nebform, the zone TP, etc.)
  2. Sounds like a lore question (or, hey, isn't that G+ hangout thing today? See if anyone knows.)
  3. Agreed. While I can see it being nice for brand spanking new multiform Khelds, it's pretty much just a distraction for me and my binds.
  4. May just be reuse of assets, but wasn't it the same model used where the "Tank" badge was in old Galaxy - just a different size/pose?

    It up and live

I don't know, the first thing I pictured was a (bad) Frankenstein remake.

    "It up... AND LIIIIIVE!"
  6. Go forth and read recent discussion.

(Not obvious from the title, I know, but it's exactly what you're talking about.)

Edit: Assuming you want a PB, that is... which I thought I read, but don't see now.

    No, that's the "General" area.

What's more it would seem ironic that things that have made it into the game over the recent years like power customization and proliferation for example, were often repeatedly dismissed and heckled when they were brought up in this part of the boards.
Rewriting history is not your forte`. You should actually look at the history before making statements like that. Both were called - by the devs, I might add - a *lot* of work, especially when they were down to 15 people, and would take a lot of time. (I believe the redname comment was "Sure, we could rewrite everything and do that. Just don't expect anything else during that year.") When they got more people, both became possible.

Pointing out information from the devs, such as the above, is not "dismissing" or "heckling." Neither is criticizing, despite what some people may want to think.

So isn't Suggestions & Ideas just the place where essentially both come to die
    No.

That is purely and simply BS. It's hard enough to get people together for these events to get the badge after the first week to 10 days, but then to have the freaking thing end before we can finish the objective off?

I've about had it with these "special events" and "limited time bagdes."
Had that happen on Guardian last Saturday, too. Had him down to quite literally a sliver of health (as in could barely see it, maybe 1-2%) then *vwip* everything vanished.

I fully agree with the later suggestion of "60 seconds of no damage before he despawns." The rest of his crew can go carry bags to the penthouse, for all I care.

  11. I have to admit my first thought on seeing this is, "Rob Liefield strikes COH!"

New legs option: Lots of pouches, two "boot" options - one with pointy little feet, one either invisible or automatically coming up with rocks and things to hide them behind.

    >.>

(That said, yeah, longstanding request. They could add them as arm details via the "Shoulder" slot - much like the barbarian rings are on the arm - but there's nothing like this for legs.)

    Ahh. OK, missed that part.

Though while I won't say "fault" there, I will say the dependance on having someone spamming heals and buffs in there can be annoying. It's one of the reasons two of my friends and I stopped playing Aion - we joked about being on a holy trinity group, walked into a camp of Elites (since you didn't really have a choice for these missions) and promptly found ourselves being really irritated. I hate heal aggro, for one, and I really don't think "Healer gets attacked/interrupted/stun locked, everyone dies" is good design.

I place 100% fault for that in those games over on the developers for being blockheads... then come back and play COH.

And they haven't given an option to disable that bar for Khelds either, have they? I use macros. Don't need the bar. If it worked properly, I'd be glad to see it for new Khelds.

.... how do you find so many groups of - no, won't say it, don't need to be modded. I'm just going to assume they all gravitate to you for some reason and stay off my teams. The few times I've seen someone blame the "healer" I can usually reply "Oh, so they should have been able to heal you through 500 feet of rock/office building/warehouse? Perhaps you should stick with the team next time."

They then either shut up or quit, either one of which is fine with me.

... you ARE more powerful still. You still have an AOE attack, fairly quickly recharging with no crash, you didn't have before. You're just not trivializing the non-incarnate content with it toned down. Hell, "Weak?" You're still a fully slotted out level 50. Since when is that "weak?"

Seriously, when one or two people can basically tell the rest of a task force "Hey, do whatever, we'll clear the missions," *it's overpowered.* And yes, I *have* been on teams - typically ITFs - where we were told JUST that. It's not fun at all to be basically told "You're not needed." It goes back to the days when a tank would herd up a map, a blaster would nuke the result (or the tank would just herd them into a dumpster) and everyone else got to stand around, or you'd get invited to something just so the leader could reveal the map and kick everyone. That wasn't fun either.
  16. /disagree.

Way to vote to skip? Sure. That's used successfully elsewhere.
Option to always vote to skip? Fine. Both of those are options used successfully in other games, and would let the *league* decide.
Option to go back and see them outside of the mission/trial? Sure. Goes right along with it.

Other than that, I can't believe you're complaining macros "don't" work - or that, *as the leader* of the trial, you're complaining you get cut off. Seriously? *YOU'RE THE LEADER.* Do this:
    - Before starting, ask if anyone's new to the trial.
    - If so, hit macro to give rundown and high points of what should/should not be done.
    - Hit start *now.* Amazingly, your instructions will never be interrupted by a trial cutscene if the trial hasn't started yet. Mind-blowing, innit.
    - Use macros at each phase to remind people of what needs doing. Even if there's a cut scene, your instructions will still go out - and if people are spamming the channel with junk, you can repeat them after with the push of a button.

Everyone *else* seems to have gotten this down. Not sure why it's such a foreign concept for you.

    REVAMP EM set

I ran the old EM up to 50 on an Energy/Energy brute. That brute didn't play as a tank, but as a "heavy stalker." It was fine then - I actually liked the "Sacrifice HP for a big hit" as opposed to just having it take more time. It set it apart from other sets (and it was sort of a mirror image of Absorb Pain, where you sacrifice some HP and the ability to be healed for a bit for a big guaranteed heal on someone else.)

PVP (pre-I13) worked well, too - it's probably the only character I had that people were warning others about, specifically because of the stuns.

Then I ran a Fire/EM tank up... oy. For tanking, I want AOEs. Keeping and getting as much attention on myself as possible is what I'm looking for there, and /Energy just doesn't do it. That one's pretty much just collecting dust at 50 right now.

What to do? *shrug* I don't know. Keep the HP loss in Energy Transfer, speed it up a bit and turn it into a cone?

Maybe have some small 3-piece sets with OK bonuses? (Like Blessing of the Zephyr or the low level knockback ones?)

    e.g.

    Int
    Acc/Int
    Acc/Int/End

    2 pieces: +2% Recovery
    3 pieces: +1.125% Health

That way you can fill up with generic IOs for damage or healing.

Or I guess have six piece sets as well and the player chooses whether they're using the power as a mule or useable power. We already have this, like say slotting Gale with Positrons Blast for the Accuracy and Recharge bonus.
That's pretty much what I was shooting for - smaller sets (3-4 piece) that would let you slot the other stuff in as well. Didn't go into bonuses since, well, I didn't have any in mind.
  20. OK, SyrusB first. Just amusing.
Furryjackal second, personal bias (yay stargazing.)
Can't decide on who for third - Tartyrsauce's is cute (if fuzzy,) leaf is... what I'd do (hang out in front of a computer.. oy.) Decisions...

Not sure what you're trying to say here. PVP has nothing to do with it. My dislike of Judgement is how it trivializes specific ATs tier-9 power. And my desire to see it reduced is *only* for regular content - as mentioned, in Incarnate content, go nuts. But it's frankly stupid to have tanks, scrappers, controllers, etc. all with nukes doing more damage to more targets from 45 on (lower Sk limit for the powers) than a Blaster's ultimate attack.

Other players want to keep their fun so I can't agree.

You're the only one mentioning PVP here. PVP is dead for the most part, so to me it's a nonissue. You're also the only one mentioning an "I win button" for whatever reason.

No, as End reduction or Accuracy are already accounted for and usable in other powers. Interrupt reduction, not so much. Yes, some sets have *some* but not much, and some powers have nothing but basic IOs associated with them. The fact it's somewhat limited in what would *take* it is why they're small sets.

It's called "more flexibility." Especially for frankenslotting.
