Who is the big statue in Steel Canyon?

May just be reuse of assets, but wasn't it the same model used where the "Tank" badge was in old Galaxy - just a different size/pose?
I'm not sure if it's official, but I seem to recall reaching more or less a consensus that it was probably Elementar in a previous thread.
Sounds like a lore question (or, hey, isn't that G+ hangout thing today? See if anyone knows.)
It's a statue of Captain Generic. To this day he's so well know that countless hero's take his name to honor him.

That generic hero model is reused for a lot of locations, including the "peeping tom" statue in Peregrine Island.
They use identical statues a lot, many times claiming they are different heroes.
Yeah its M1 In Steel, Minotaur in Talos. Sometimes the statues will have plaques around them that will tell you who they are, such as the statue of Breakneck outside Kings Row tram station.

I know - or are you referring to the one I was quoting talking about "Minotaur in Talos" - the badge is called Minotaur, but the hero's name is Talos. The island is named after him (as it apparently arose in the fight he vanished in with Chimera)

I mean the one Positron and Valkyrie stand under, in the center of the map - Google turned up "a hero sacrificed in the Rikti conflict" but no specific name... was the character ever named?
