Sounds like you fell victim to a roll-back. This sometimes happens when a whole zone crashes and does not save anything since you zoned. You should send a /petition... but because all the information was lost, they might not be able to find where you had claimed the money from the e-mail.
Instead, direct them to the timeframe when you originally sent the e-mail, and have them verify that the e-mail no longer exists. That will prove that you would have claimed it, but since there is no record of you claiming it, they might be able to award you the money. Then again, even though your character file wont have the info on claiming the e-mail, the global server might still it.
It's worth a shot anyway. And extra words of advice.. be persistent (in case they don't verify all the info after the first response), but be calm about it as well. The more upset and rude you appear in your report will make less people want to help. -
Sounds to me like they would just swing at each other for a long time at a stalemate. Neither would win.

Is the bid still on WW? Even though you have not actually bought the item yet, the money is taken away immediately. If you change your mind, you can cancel the bid and recover the money.

Quote:I just sent a test Email to one of my inactive accounts (Master-Blade2), and it showed up in my own inbox immediately.I sent out a test email with a cheap recipe to my inactive account. No "bounce backs" just yet, its been a few hours.
I sent a lvl 50 Knockback Recipe and 1inf. The subject of the Email simply said "hi".
Edit to add more info:
The account I sent it to has been inactive for less than 90 days, so it seems to bounce back off even newly disabled accounts.
I'm not sure why it's not working for you. -
Quote:If you send to an invalid/inactive account, or somebody who has you on ignore, the e-mail will show up in your own in-box.I understand that the lost emails occured when various non-letters were entered in the body of the email (i.e. & $ or ")
That is fixed now, but if you do send a purple, make sure it's to an active account, and do not type any of the problem symbols.
I never had a problem with capitalization. -
Quote:It might depend how tall your character is. Some of my smaller ones I can do that, but my taller ones cannot..Face the cave entrance, turn off travel powers, hold backwards and jump a couple times....works every time it happens for me.
However.. if I do the ;sit emote, and then jump backward, it works fine for me no matter which toon I am on. -
Quote:I think both hospitals work, but you have to be a hero to get credit on hero side and a villain for credit on the villain side. Same thing for the Vaults in Pocket D. If I step into the wrong one, I don't even see the DJ icon.Pocket D tends to be a bit funny in terms of day job badges. Sometimes what you said is right sometimes it is wrong. I've had a hard time with getting the base portal day job to work, but one of the two hospitals do not. The vault depends on how far in it you are.

Quote:I totally got what you said. I don't think you got what I was trying to say though..Wasn't discounting what you said; read what I wrote in full.
To reword it: In the past, it's always been more likely that you'd be rock solid in an instanced map, BUT last night we saw that challenged by getting MSDC messages while within several missions.
That's what my point was; "yeah, it should be stabler like that, but even that got *****'d last night." Which is very unusual.
I wasn't even trying to say my instance was stable at all other than it's still connected. Like I said, I was not actively playing to be able to notice any power delays, chat lag, rubber-banding or anything else. It's very possible I would have, but I was not at the computer to experience it, and if I did or didn't was not the point of my post.
I completely agree with you. My point was that since I am still connected ever since last night, then the server has not been down to undergo any extra reset or maintenance to fix the problems, and we should watch for it while playing again tonight.. or at least until we know the server has been reset. -
Indeed. I was just trying to say that the server has not yet been fully reset yet, so I'm thinking that whatever reasons the server was having problems last night might not have really been fixed yet other than the population/load being reduced so far today.
-
To run the Pentad match, you only need ONE other person using the same AT as you are. It does not seem to be working as designed (unless they fixed it). The teams do not have to be full, and the remaining ATs added do not matter, as long as you have at least one AT that matches both sides.
That said, I certainly have one of whatever AT you are looking for, and am happy to help out any time. Just buzz me and we can try it. -
I added to the main thread, but to summarize here, I was damage farming inside a mission last night and I am still online right now. The only thing I seem to have experienced was my global servers being dropped from my chat tabs, which was easily re-added with /chatload.
I don't know if I ever mapserved or lagged at all, but it never fully disconnected and the server has not been reset yet. -
Quote:Not for nothing, but we have already had a couple server upgrades in the past. This is the first I've seen any major server-wide problems on Freedom in a while. Is it time for another server upgrade? Maybe, but I certainly don't disconnect on a nightly basis, nor think their expansion and upgrade plans are ridiculous.I understand the game just hit 6 years old, but give me a break! There are much older games that don't disconnect me on a nightly basis. If you can come out with an expansion, make new powersets and make this "ultra mode", then you can make an attempt with a server(s) upgrade. Friggin ridiculous.
On topic:
I was damage farming last night, so I was inside a mission. I don't know if I got any lag but I can tell you that I am still connected right now. I saw everybody's complaints in our global channel from last night, which is what led me here.
I did have to run /chatload to re-add the global channels though, so that must have gone down at least once during the night, but the server as a whole has not gone down. -

Quote:Howso? As explained above, If you want to bind something to the LSHIFT key by itself, it is certainly needed, but when using it as a chord with another key, the L is ignored. This can be proved 2 different ways:. . . and actually there is no need to include the "L" with Shift. I think there used to be a difference between lshift and rshift, but there is no longer. Either Shift is the same.
1.) Create a bind for LSHIFT+KEY, then press RSHIFT+KEY. You will notice the bind still fires even though you are using the "wrong" SHIFT.
2.) Create a bind for LSHIFT+KEY. Run a /bindsavefile and look at the file. The bind was saved as SHIFT+KEY.
Same thing happens when using ALT or CTRL. If Local had not come back and added that, I was going to.
Edit:
Thinking about this post again, I realize that BayBlast might be referring to the middle of what he quoted. As far as I am aware, the functionality of the buttons have not changed, making the statement of it changing "absolutely false"... but if that is the case, I wonder why he left the true parts of the statement in the quote. -
Quote:In fact, some people have said that they still try to use it (just in case the default breaks or changes back), and even reported getting an error message in their chat window. The game will still run fine, but it seems to not like the command much anymore. lolIf you're referring to the -renderthread switch, I believe CoX defaults to using it now, meaning you do not have to add it anymore.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure.
You are correct, it's an outdated command. -
Well, I tried to find the post where I promised we'd be done by 2am, but I could not find it. I guess I might have said it in the channel instead.
Anyway... the results picture!...
For the most part, we steamrolled through this and ghosted where possible. Everybody did a great job supporting each other by TP'ing to mission, or objectives inside the mission and helped group us together to prevent full team wipes. It was a great time and I'm sorry we were not able to take the time to fully appreciate the Shard tonight, but we have 3 more upcoming TFs to do that. See you then!
Thanks to Luna for organizing this once again, and thanks to everybody on the one-night team for making it a great success.
Good luck to the other teams on the second night! -
Quote:I believe he thought the slash command would list all members, even ones inactive or offline, so he could see who was still a member of the SG chat, even though they were no longer in his SG.This. Simple. Easy-peasy.
Why do you need a / command for this anyways? Just wondering.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. -
The board does have the ability to drag-resize images using an advanced mode, but I haven't seen it really work very well or reliably. Luckily, E and I both use photobucket, which automatically makes a thumbnail for every image simply by putting a "th_" prefix on the filename. Other photo sites offer something similar as well.

Quote:Sorry I'm late. That's what I get for going to sleep early last night and having to work today. I miss out on a summons. hahaI hereby summon Matteo, er... Master-Blade to answer this question!!
As mentioned, Ouro can certainly be used to unlock the contacts. IIRC, it's actually the souvenir from the arc that unlocks the contact, which all players on the Ouro team will get when it's completed.
And because nobody specifically mentioned it yet.. you only have to do the last arc in the series. For example, you wont have to start with Stephanie Peebles and work your way through all of the arcs in the zone collecting the souvenirs. You can go straight to Lars Hansen's "A Madman's Council" to unlock the TF contact. -
Quote:Oh, that is a new command that lets you set an auto-kick timer to the channel. Accounts who have not logged in for the amount of days you had set would be automatically removed to allow room for new people to join. Seeing the value to 0 would disable the auto-kick.I could have sworn there was a command to see everyone in the channel that came out before or during I17, hidden or otherwise. What was it about global channels that was in the patch notes? Something about people with inactive acocunts being auto kicked from globals?
As far as I know, the command is not yet currently working, and it still does not show you the full list of members or who is being kicked. -

Quote:Thanks for the backup Aggelakis. I probably should have noticed that and fixed it myself a while ago, but usually other people beat me to it, so I don't go looking for too many corrections to make on the site. lol

/chan_members "Channel Name"
But that only lists the members that are online and not hidden. You can view the same list by simply opening your friend's list and selecting the channel you want to view the members for from the drop-down menu.
I don't know of any other member list commands, sorry.
