Credit for successfully completing the Weekly Strike Target even after a character has already received the bonus for the week is cumulative over time, and the credit can be accrued over many weeks or months.

To clarify, the badge counter wont reset every week, but you'd still have to do more than one WST for them to start counting each week.

    Example:
If I did 11 WSTs this week, I'd have badge credit of 10.
If I do 6 more next week, I'll have badge credit of 15 (5 more).
If I do only one TF the week after, I'd still have credit for only 15.

In short, the weekly counter resets, but the overall badge progress does not.
  2. What you are describing sounds exactly like the "your driver is stuck in an infinite loop and had to be reset" error I was getting with the higher versions after clicking on Contact windows or navigating Ouro crystals.

I'd guess your friend is using an ATI card with a driver version that is newer than 10.9, in which case they could roll back to 10.9 to possibly fix the issue.

Please post the results of CoH_Helper from his laptop, and we can know for sure what your friend has installed and provide more information if necessary.
  3. Those two badges do not interchange. Unlike other badges that change title when you switch sides, these are actually different badges. The only way to change the title is to change sides and run the mission again for the other badge reward instead. At that point, your existing badge will be removed because you can only have one or the other (as mentioned in the text when you claim the badge).

    Working As Intended.

As mentioned, you can still find places to click on it while it is open (see image above). Besides people exiting the mission, there could have been a handful of people still entering the mission, which would keep the hatch open even longer.
  6. I agree it's annoying not being able to directly click on certain open doors, but there is a workaround for the Submarine hatch.

As far as the Submarine goes specifically, it's possible to still click on it while it is open if you rotate the camera and click around. After some practice and you find the right camera angle and spot that works for you, it becomes quite easy.

Personally, I usually face it from behind where the top of the hatch is still visible while open, and am able to click just outside the opening. The clickable area is actually quite large, YMMV:

Hopefully that will help you until the clickable area of some animated objects is possibly fixed.

The point is not to say that all people with those cards and driver versions will experience issues, but to say that the people with those video cards and version 10.9 should not be having the same issues.

If you are not having issues with the higher versions, than I consider you one of the lucky ones. That puts you in a different category to begin with. Without experiencing the issues, you'd have no reason to try rolling back anyway. lol

Personally, I didn't have the issue for a long time either, then it suddenly started, and only on a specific toon. There is apparently more too it than simply opening a contact list and seeing if it crashes. Some people experience it more than others, and some not even at all.

Point is, people who had the issues have reported to us that rolling back to 10.9 suddenly fixed it for them, so I pass on the advice in hopes that it helps another person enjoy the game better.
  10. I use the 5770 and the version I've seen work the best so far for CoH has been the 10.9 version. It seems most (if not all) of the issues people have with contact lists and other related crashes seem to go away after rolling back to 10.9

I have heard 11.1 still does it, so if your concern is mainly for CoH, I'd recommend sticking to 10.9 until there is confirmation that those other issues are fixed in a future version. I have not tried 11.1a yet, so I'm still waiting to see what people say about it before taking the plunge. For now, I'm gonna stick to the "10.9 is not broken, so I'm not gonna fix it" mentality. If your issues seem to go away, please let us know. If not, it might be worth trying 10.9 instead. Good Luck!

You can still use the <> in macros though, and then use a bind to access the macro.
  12. The issue you are experiencing is caused by changes being made to the costume editor database. As new items are added, the existing items are moved around. This causes the editor to think you changed your costume, even if it's still at the original. Some people even see a completely different costume when they go into the editor on really old characters.

It's annoying, but this is part of why we are given the free costume changes when such updates to the database are made. It's not just so we can get the new items for free, but so we don't have to pay for fixing the rest of our costume. lol

I made that image a long time ago, but I was inside the stand on purpose. Logging out near any door makes your toon come out the door when you log in. I saw the stand had a door on both the inside and outside and was curious to see if it'd work. haha

IIRC, some people also used a stand in Siren's Call as a TP-trap. Similarly, I think you can use it as a Trick-or-Treat trap for foes.

My search was done simply by not selecting any search criteria. Those figures already included any unhidden person, even if they were inside a mission (or SG base). I did another search just now and got a total of 805 (on Blueside).

As for your ratio.. It seems that it's actually closer to half and half (tonight anyway).
  15. Last time I checked for another thread...

Gold: 117 not hiding from searches.
That makes 1263 unhidden players on Freedom on a Saturday night. The real number would be a bit higher than that. If you are looking for a comparison, that thread was originally talking about Triumph, which had only 430 unhidden at the same time.

That is a period, a space, quote, plus, plus, disable2D, quote

Save the file (if it didn't exist in the first place, open Notepad, type in that line and save as keybinds.txt).

Now go into the game. The period key should toggle the UI on and off.
You skipped a step. You'd have to perform a /bindload before the key starts working that way. Our keybinds are saved serverside to each character separately. The client doesn't read the local file unless we tell it to (or unless a new character is created).

That said, without the UI already being on, it'd be just as difficult to run the /bindload as it would be to run the /-disable2d directly.

  19. Reformed Firebug is the Hero badge for completing 10 Mayhem arsons. The Villain name of it is simply "Firebug".

Anger Manager is indeed the Hero badge for destroying 25 Hydrants, 25 Mailboxes, 25 Newspaper stands, and 25 Pay phones. The Villain version is "Vandal".

    Note:
Even though your character started as a Hero, if you changed over to a full Villain, you will now have the Villain badge names, so Vandal might be the one to look for if you already have it.

As for a progress bar, I do recall seeing the placeholder for the badge in the Defeat category. It doesn't have an actual progress bar though because of the several requirements. If you don't already have it, all I can suggest is to keep clearing maps of all those items and you should eventually get it. Good Luck!

If it doesn't seem to be rolling back, make sure you are uninstalling the old driver first.

Additionally, Driver Sweeper can help rid you of any stray artifact of your former version before you install the new one.

Neither of these is going to do anything to fix the main problem if the UI is actually turned off. There would be no visible chat window and no visible menu no matter what keys you press.

I think a long time ago, the default key for toggling the UI was the period (.), so if it's an older character that you haven't changed, it might turn it back on for you. You can also try checking your keybinds.txt file to see which key has "disable2d" on it.

If that doesn't help, then you'll just have to try enabling it by pretending the UI is still there by pressing keys in a specific and correct order. You said you were still able to type and try the command above, so try the following instead:
    Press enter
(Your "focus" should now be on your chat, even if you can't see it, so don't click anywhere or press anything else)
    Type /disable2d 0 ( or just /-disable2d )
    Press enter
With any luck, your UI should be restored, or at least finally visible again. Then you can make any appropriate changes.

If that fails, the only other solution I can think of would be to simply restart your client. As far as I'm aware, the game will always load with the UI turned on anyway. (Edit: I just verified by turning my UI off and closing the game that the UI is back normally again after logging back in.) Since this issue is a few hours old, I hope you have already done that by now anyway. lol
  22. As mentioned, you can move a tab toward the top/bottom of the window or right click and press "move to top/bottom" to make it split again.

Personally, I'd just log onto a character that has it set up the way you like it and do a /wdwsave$$chatsave, then log onto the affected toon and do a /wdwload$$chatload.
  23. I might be game for this. Sounds interesting enough anyway. No idea what toon I'd bring though. Maybe it's an excuse to make a new one. lol

A new Incarnate-related raid zone.. maybe.
