Tailor charging for nothing

Well, THIS is interesting...

Decided to tweak a character's power customization (it's not consistent across the three costumes.) Went in, did the tweak on one, saved it and went to costume 2. While in costume 2 (nothing fancy, nothing changed in a while,) I notice the tailor's charging 14k to change ... something.

Go in, hit reset. Nada.

Exit tailor, come back. Nope, no change, no individual categories have a "reset" either.

Check outfit 1. Same thing - with different pieces. Different category all together (skirt instead of tights.)

For the heck of it, save the two, load them into a character for AE - which accepts the pieces as perfectly valid (no "cannot load" or "cannot find pieces.") /Bug it.

Went onto another character with a very basic outfit - same thing (but it costs 140,000 .... on THREE categories.) Same with nothing being able to be reset, and nothing showing as generic (as I've had some old costumes do after a change - going from something to basic tights, for instance.)

Both were female. Logged into a male character - same thing (but 500,000 - level 50 character.) No changes made, nothing to reset. Another costume, third slot (the first character did that on the second,) and it does the head, top and bottom slots (at 500,000 each).

Went to a new server. (Those were on victory, so I picked Triumph.)

Character 4, female, hero, bottoms were showing a charge (and a change, the boots.) Reset would swap the boots, but not put the pattern on. Manually putting the same pattern on still left a 4900 inf charge for staying exactly the same.

Character 5, male, villain, one outfit was fine, a second one had a 12300 INF charge for no change with nothing resettable (and looking exactly as he does otherwise.)

Since I've been going to the same tailor (cap, first one in the south door) for the villains for consistency, I tried Trina with this character - no change, still a charge for nothing.

Switch accounts. Same thing... except when hitting reset on the individual pieces, on this character on two outfits insists on switching to costume pieces not on any of her outfits. (Hitting "reset" on the category does nothing.)

Something's screwy in Tailorville.

(Edit: Just to say, this has nothing to do with the cost *per se* of these changes. I could do those without an issue - I have characters with 70+ free costume change tokens of one sort or another. It's more "There's something wrong in the underlying system/database" that I want to bring to dev attention. Though going through 200+ characters - CIT shows 248, most with multiple costumes, and checking and fixing *each one* would be more than a little irritating.)

The issue you are experiencing is caused by changes being made to the costume editor database. As new items are added, the existing items are moved around. This causes the editor to think you changed your costume, even if it's still at the original. Some people even see a completely different costume when they go into the editor on really old characters.

It's annoying, but this is part of why we are given the free costume changes when such updates to the database are made. It's not just so we can get the new items for free, but so we don't have to pay for fixing the rest of our costume. lol

What's really annoying is that Ultra Mode totally ****** over some parts. My Energy/Energy Blaster uses Bottoms > Medieval, and the costume editor refuses to find it, and attempts to replace it with a blank, dull version of Alpha. It will never remember it.

I am glad that they fixed the loading issue, though. It used to be that if I tried to load any costume saved any parts that were supposed to be metal (Metalic, Medieval, etc.), it would crash the game. >.<

I really wish they'd be consistant when adding new stuff, like costume parts and badges, and just add them to the end of the list.

Yeah - but on the other hand, that would likely be even MORE of a mess.

Had another that insisted my (nice, old fashioned) armored gloves should suddenly be rubber gloves. Given the rubber gloves are newer.... no, I don't want to know just how they add things/figure this out/etc.
