First. Take your own router out of the equation. Connect directly to the ethernet port. If the problem goes away then we know the culprit.
Second. Keep track and see if it only happens during certain times of the day. Even if you never play when you get up in the morning do it for a while and see how network traffic is.
I absolutely hate shared connections for one reason. It's a 100% guarantee that somebody in the building uses a bittorrent client regularly and probably doesn't restrict the speed. In addition if you are playing in the evening then there are probably multiple people streaming netflix or tv network content. This is going to lower your connection speed tremendously and result in lost packets.
Most people won't complain because streaming video buffers so they won't see the results of a couple second connection loss. Bittorrent doesn't even hiccup over a loss of connection. Most other games will freeze for a couple seconds then resume. CoX on the other hand falls to the ground, goes into convulsions and is eventually transported to the hospital. -
I don't have a solution but I am boggled.
The problem happens 3-4 hours into the game and makes it unplayable?
I can't remember the last time I played for more than a couple hours. The last TF I did I suppose. -
I am so freaking annoyed. I'm on Directv and right about the time the mines started exploding the show started blinking out about twice per second and became unwatchable. Alternate sources time I guess.

I don't know about this. Dredd needs to be over the top. In fact I don't think you can get more over the top than the Dredd comics. But it looks like they are trying for a Dark Knight tone.
Still, we will see. -
At first I loved how becoming a vampire had made Tara more intelligent and eloquent. But now she's back to the same old Tara.

But Superman does go directly against his own philosophy in the movie. He preaches again and again that the punishment of the villains isn't up to him, it's up to the courts. But at the end he is the one who strips all of the Elite of their powers. The court system had nothing to do with it.
So maybe the Elite got their point across to him after all. You can't trust in a system that doesn't work vs super beings. -
CAN NOT WAIT!!!
For the season finale that is. I wondered if anybody was going to start metal bending those ships. The police should not have been helpless just because they got magnetically attracted. Those War Hulks are made of metal themselves. -
Quote:Japan is definitely the center of the universe when it comes to weird foods of all types.I didn't quit, I deleted the ones from countries other than Japan since the bulk of uhm exotic flavors seems to come from there.
The sweet potato ice cream sounds good though. -
New crazy theory with no basis what so ever. Amon is Aang. Most Avatars live long lives. As in the 200 year range. Aang died at age 66. My crazy theory is that he didn't really die but rather turned to the dark side like Vader. As was said, if you attempt to bend life energy you have the potential to become corrupted.
As a result his soul was torn asunder. So Korra isn't a true reincarnation of the avatar but rather a partial reincarnation minus the part of the spirit that was Aang. This is the reason she can't bend air. It is also the reason Amon can't be fully blood bent. He continuously exists in the avatar state which is what is keeping him alive, but also limiting him.
Eventually it will be discovered and Korra will lead him back to the light. At which point Aang will give up his life force to Korra and the avatar will become whole again and able to bend air. -
Quote:I was actually at the opposite end of the spectrum. I was convinced that this would be a redeem from the dark side storyline. Until the point when he stabbed Artemis and I realized it was a deep undercover arc after all.Young Justice: So, who called it that Aqualad was deep undercover? The "murder" of Artemis admittedly had me fooled at that point, until the reveal at the end.
Korra: So Amon isn't Tarrlok. I guess I called that one wrong. I was amazed at the amount of story they packed into this episode. By the end of the episode it felt like at least an hour had passed. I was annoyed by the "coincidence" though. The one with the two bikers using the secret passage right as our heroes happened to be next to it. There were so many other ways that passage could have been discovered without requiring a bad coincidence. -
It will probably just wind up as a quick joke. The government tries to create their own version of Captain America (ie poster child, not another super soldier). They will want a patriotic symbol that is under their control, not working for some independent international agency. Tony will make some joke about a Cap wannabe. Rhodey will grumble that it wasn't his idea.
At some point War Machine will get hit with a flame thrower or something similar that burns off all the paint. At which point he will make some comment like "That's more like it. Time to get down to business." -
Quote:Sorry, but following the pattern means that the villain he will be fighting will be named Stroke.I guess taking the "Green" out makes "Arrow" sound more like a vigilante and less like a costumed superhero. I'll give it a try. Looks decent enough, and Deathstroke's mask intrigued me.
It also means that most the other heroes he teams up with will be named Man, Woman, Boy or Girl. -

You don't need to try and search for the programs. Follow these links and run them then post the information here.

It's not likely that any movie will ever again beat the adjusted gross of the big hits from Titanic and before. GWTW came from a time when there wasn't any television. Movies and plays were the main entertainment. People would go to the movies every weekend and often see the same movie many times.
But the real hit to people going to movies has been big screen hd televisions and blu-ray discs. A lot of people don't even go to the movies any more except on special occasions because a home theater is just as good as a movie theater unless the movie is visually spectacular. In fact I would most times rather see a movie at home because I don't have to deal with people talking or texting or walking back and forth in front of me. -
I'm the same. I might occasionally stop in a comic shop and dig through old worn back issues in their 25 cent bin, but that's about it.
Comics are ridiculously overpriced. Plus the multi-title crossovers are so ridiculous it's like going to a movie and needing to see every movie in the theater in order to understand what is going on in the one movie you want to see. -
And over on IMDB and some other boards Batman fans are still claiming that Dark Knight Rises will destroy Avengers box office records.
Of course these are the same people who were claiming that the only reason the Avengers opening weekend was so huge was because everybody was going to see the Dark Knight preview. -
Korra: Tarrlok is Amon. I'm now convinced that he created the Equalist movement so that he could make his current power play. Great episode.
Young Justice: They are going same route as the JLA to JLU conversion. I like it. A main story arc with lots of stand alone episodes tied in and a huge guest star pool to pull from. And it looks like Bart showing up is getting Wally to finally push himself. -
Quote:The stuff missing from the VHS release all appears to be there. One or two episodes have had a musical clip changed due to copyright but The Maxx was never about the music. It's not like it's WKRP.Is the DVD complete? IIRC, the VHS release had scenes removed to time-edit it down to a usable length.
If that problem isn't present on the DVD version, I'll have to grab it up...though my old tape will probably still be my treasure.
One warning, it's on DVD-R medium, not standard DVDs. There just isn't enough demand for the series to warrant regular DVDs so Amazon burns it on demand. Still, it has audio commentaries, interviews and is only $16 so it's well worth it. -
Yeah, looks like They Live with a Tim Burton vision of what aliens should be. Or They Live on acid.
Looks like each of the codes goes to a different product ad on the movie site. -
Like Peter David said. Rob is the Ed Wood of comics.

Quote:Everybody is picking up on this. So it is now absolutely guaranteed that it won't be Alan Scott. After all, we saw what happened when it was leaked that Captain Atom was Monarch.BleedingCool is going out and saying that Alan Scott will be the gay character re-introduced into the new DCU.
I still haven't forgiven DC for that travesty. -

Quote:OMG A Doc Brown Rat Fink shirt? I didn't know anybody else even remembered Rat Fink.Oddly enough, the best ones I've had came from, of all places, Asda (UK arm of Wal-Mart) and Primark (an ultra,ultra-discounter).
DC did a range of low-price art shirts with WW, Batty and Supes over the last couple of years - and I've had better comments back on those than ones I've picked up at comics shops.
However, http://TeeFury.com is great for one-offs and parody shirts. Each design's created by indie artists and sold for one day only (though excesses and returns turn up in their Grab Bag offers.)
