  1. likely it operates like Team Teleport where the game tries to cram everything into the same spot and pushes some around as it hits colision.

    I'll do some testing on this later to see what I can find.

  3. this information dates back to before august so there is no way to verify it with a redname or post as it has been removed by the boards when they do monthly cleaning.

    if they show past patch notes look there.

    just trying to help with what i've seen in patch notes, personal experience and testing. I guess I'll just keep my mouth shut and let the blind continue to lead the blind.
  4. the info from the Prima guide is Pre-issue one info and it was never a 5 level spread until a patch after Issue 1.

    so you can't use them until the normal 3 level range but they last 5 levels rather than the standard three. Only applies to HOs as they never said all trial enhancements. Also doesn't matter much now since most HOs out there are 47-50 so you'd never encounter a need for the 5 level hindrange.

  6. most of it is a moot point but HOs last for 5 levels. The trial ones do not.

    Only way this would have happened is those that had some prior to the level cap raise of 50 so they were effective until 45 as Hamidon and the hive was increased in Issue 1 as well. Like I said so few had them that its a moot point but they go backwards 5 levels but only above by 3 levels. Also can't combine like enhancements (can't combine two Nucleous types) to get 50+ or 50++ versions.

    it was stated in old patch notes about the change but that's way back in Issue 1 stuff so good luck finding it.
  7. all folks are reporting a decrease in using the travel portion of HOs.

    Likely a bug and should be submitted and put in the technical section so the devs can see it.

    i have Teleport so I can't test the numbers myself
  8. Hamidon and the enhancements have been in the game since release. This has been no attempt by the devs to change the game or how things work.

    an organized raid takes less than 2 hours, you can spend more time on two missions, doing a task force or a trial.

    the fact that its a public encounter means others can help the very people you will typically compete against.

    HOs offer a way for 50s to advance their character with others since it requires cooperation.

    those that dislike HOs and the Hamidon raid really don't know that much about it. Not digging for flames or trolling but its a fact that seems very evident by most that are posting.
  9. I was wrong on the debuff/tohit numbers warcry seems to show 33.3%

    as for testing defense testing is difficult at best to check so i'd figure we'd get more accurate numbers for alot of things when the arena allows us to hit other known numbers.
  10. i recall them being 20% as SOs since the debuff is like that as well as defense which are similar effects. (defense is like a debuff to accuracy and vice versa)

    the Recharge is right at offering a 50% bonus to recharge which would reduce the recharge by roughly 33% if it was the only recharge in the power and no Hasten.

    I'm fairly confident to say that ToHit, Defense, Resistance, and Range all share 30% value as it would be consistant with how they are as SOs

    As for the trial ones i couldn't say but likely a similar pattern
  14. except your example shows that a Damage SO is 33.3 and Defense SO is 20% which is about 0.6

    So if a HO base is 50% then those that are 0.6 would be 30% which is what the range HO shows.

    the Accuracy component to this is likely 50% since Acc SOs are normally 33%

    I think the only reason ToHit and Defense bonus are paired up is to avoid making a separate enhancement for each one that exists now. Only a few powers will benefit from all three and these also do seem hard to come by compared to the others

    Jonbo have you guys noticed any sort of rairity among any of the types?
  16. It offers a way to advance your character further with hard work and teamwork. If 50 is your only goal then there isn't much point but if you like to play your character or make them better then offers a very reasonable reward.
  17. Did some tests on range portion of the Damage Enhancer and can confirm that it offers a 30% bonus compared to 33% (its a small difference but enough to make the difference of 2 yds.

    So if the SO is normally 33% it will be 50%
    and if the SO is normally 20% it will be 30%

    also it means the boost is the same ratio for each type

    Do we have a confirmation that the range component is 50% or could it be less since normally Range SOs only offer 20%?

    Its a shame recharge isn't paired up with more options but still offers a sizable benefit but they seem harder to come by than the Damage/X flavors
  19. Oh definately any development can be a fickle thing especially if a great idea on paper doesn't turn out well in testing internally.

    I do have one bold question about the skills system if you can or dare to make a few comments on. Originally it was slated for Issue 2 according to CGW but was pushed back and we hoped Issue 3 but now it sounds like Issue 5. I'm just curious to some of the hurdles you are coming across in either development or balancing that is pushing this system back. Will we ever get perhaps a longer teaser giving a more wider scope of what to expect with the skills system and PGCU (the university that was rumored)? Any more info you could give on this would be wonderful.
  20. Actually there is a company out there attempting to enter the pulp hero market and it does have some potential. I'm surer it would sell but of course the question is will it have holding power to keep customers coming back for more.

    Hell I remember when people said a Super Hero MMO wouldn't sell or be popular
  21. Yep Sings seem to have 50% damage resistance to just about everything but they seem to take much less damage from Psi attacks.

    I used them on the Hydra trial to take agro for the group while we attacked the Hydra and the tentacles. The hydra spit cut them down with no resistance but my sings were able to tank the hydra when it was time to use the particle cannons

    I use them to open up boss and AV fights for the initial brunt of the agro and then between them and my holds i can get a lock down shortly there after. A sing with bubbles is nearly unstoppable.

    They are also great to pull agro off a teammate if your timer is up. Just cast them right on the teammate and they clear him off and good chance of taking agro from the mobs.

    They can see things stuck in walls so assisting them and using wormhole can really find those hidden mobs.

    Should note this bug extends beyond just the TF to the Unity plague mission and i'm willing to gather anytime you have to talk to Ms Liberty for a mission.
  23. well it may be true Update 2 is also "live" on the test server. Until Issue 3 is put on TC this is a place to discuss bug fixes on upcoming patches and discuss current bugs to accumulate them so the devs can see issues that may not be petitioned in game. Again another resource to make them aware of bugged items (not power tweaks or suggestions) so this post is very relavent to the test server. I am also a tester on TC and Its good to see posts like this to confirm broken things within Update 2 to either get more data on or just avoid until its fixed.

    As for the kill stealing... several groups can get "badge credit" off one monster... just like several heroes can get defeat credit off one villain.

    So then we can expect the only way to find Babbage is stalk other task forces and get a few shots in to get credit? Doesn't seem very heroic to me but seems that's the only place True Babbage can be found. If he is in Boomtown that's fine since I and others can hunt that one and leave the Task Forcers their fun of the ambush. I don't like the implication it brings however and also not intending to put words in your mouth but currently that is how the situation seems.
  25. you can fill your contact bar and not complete all thier missions. I know this because my Vahzilok contact for the badge in question is full and i know i avoided the mission because it was timed and Vahzilok and at the time i was sick of Vahz from two story arcs of them and i couldn't do timed missions with a degree of quickness.

    Patient Zero you are thinking of the mission in the story arc which is the wrong mission.

    The mission it should be is a timed mission in the sewers stopping Vahzilok from spreading a plague
