  1. I wouldn't spend the money on the Pancea's for Healing flames, the bonuses outside of pvp aren't that impressive. 5 doctored wounds in a click heal is pretty awesome and seriously cheap.

I think the difference between 40 and 45% defense, while huge on a defense based character with low/no resistance, on fire brute is going to be less noticeable because of the higher resist numbers. I'd still play around with mids some more and see what you would need to sacrifice to softcap S/L becasue it really is awesome.
  2. 2 acc/dam Hami's, 2 Scirocco's (Dam/end and the proc), an oblit proc, and 50 end redux IO.

good accuracy, ~ed cap damage, good end redux, and 2 procs

So 374.81 HP for Healing Flames, and 374.81+187.74 for Energize, that's 50% more healing per activation.
If you include the +regen numbers for electric for the extra 187.74 over 30 seconds, you have to include that healing flames is nearly recharged for an extra 374.81 in the 30 second duration to get the regen.

Since defenses are all IOs and resistances are very similar, its all about healing per second and Fire greatly outdoes electric in that area.
  4. I have one and I kinda burnt myself out on him because he is so awesome that he was all I was playing. Fire/SD/Fire he just does everything well, especially once he made his Tier 4 cardiac and has zero endurance problems. Great single target dmg and with fireball, FSC, and SC more AOE than he needs to kill an agro cap mob (fireball usually only has 2 or 3 guys left to kill.)
  5. I really like this idea and might spend some time trying to build an untra hard arc for me and my VG buddies. We are bigtime speed taskforce guys with toons build specific for some tf's and it would be neat to have something to run occasionally where we need to run as a team instead of splitting up to hit objectives ASAP.
  6. You can build Brutes so that the only thing in the game that can kill you is the RNG (especially invuln brutes) and at the same time leave piles of dead bodies behind you.

A tank will be tougher but unkillable is unkillable.

Only if the team isn't taking care of itself. Seriously, if a group of 7 lvl 35+'s can't take care of themselves in an ITF, its not the one person not there's fault. You guys would have faceplanted anyway.
  8. I'm kinda dissappointed because at the moment its unslotted and I was imagining how awesome the damage would be once slotted because it was already really good. But I'll be glad to have the extra slots.
  9. My bots/traps hit 41(I think, maybe 42) last night and has quickly become my favorite solo toon. The final robot upgrade, it is amazing how much difference it makes.

I never knew about the slotting on detonator though...I'm going to have to redo my planned build now.
  10. My VG used to regularly run all corrupter TF's and they are tons of fun. ITF, LGTF, RSF, BSF, even the apex and tin mage. Its amazing how fast the AV's die on a RSF with all those buffs and debuffs.

    Trapdoor

I've never had trouble soloing him, except one time when I forgot that I was on +4x8. I just changed my difficulty to 0x1 and smashed his face. Most of the time he's dead before he can even spawn any clones, but I guess I like high dmg characters.

Reds insp are your friend. If the fight is taking long enough that you need -regen or shivans and stuff, I'd say look at your diff cause something is wrong.
  12. I only delete characters when I need the slot and don't want to buy more slots. So there have only been a handfull of deleted characters and most of them were because I rerolled them as something better. Like my EM/WP brute to SS/WP or a Fire tank into a brute. Also PB's, I can't seem to get a PB to make it past 30ish. He's been deleted 3 times now to make room.
  13. Nyx, Healers like you are why empathy's are almost never invited to my teams. Only 4 attacks and snipe is one of your favorites? I LOL'd so hard! A dedicated healer is absolutely useless on any team of players that know how to play this game.
  14. A few weeks ago my VG buddy and I join a PUG ITF. I normally don't pug it much, but it was around lunch time on a Saturday morning and it was just us online out of our normal crew. So why not?

The team leader sets the first mission and says somthing along the lines of, "This is neither a shard run or a speed run. Go at whatever pace you feel comfortable with." Cool stuff.

About halfway through the first mission its going kinda slow and my buddy says on vent, "Hey, lets try and turn this into a speed run, if they kick us we'll make our own." Sounds awesome to me!

I'm on my DB/DA brute and he's on an Elec/elec brute and we break off and start tearing though it. By the middle of the second mission the rest of the team is running right along with us and we finish the TF in 28mins with nearly half that in the first mission. GOOD TIMES!
  15. I love playing with any kind of support. I play alot of TF's so mostly I look for debuffs for the AV's. I'm mostly teaming with VG and alot of well built toons, so buffs seem less important.

I hate playing active buffers. I WILL FORGET TO BUFF YOU. Last night running ITF on my Fire/cold corr, we are on the last mission fighting Rommie and it hits me. I haven't given out an ice shield to anyone this entire TF! I was too busy debuffing and setting everything on fire. We were flying through it and completed in less than 25min, but the VG still got a nice kick out of it when I told them about my lapse.

So most of my support toons tend to be debuffers or ones that can pasively buff the team like my rad or veats (or a cold that apparently might as well have skipped his shields.)
  16. Elec/Shield brute is easy to soft cap especially if you skimp a little on AOE def (my shielders never hit AOE soft cap and you'd never know it). Touch of Deaths and Mako's in your single targets and oblits in your AOE's. Take Tough and Weave.

    Oh no he didn't!

Lots of guides for willpower here on the forums. Build for Defense and Hitpoints.
  18. My Fire/Fire/Fire dom rolled himself from 47-50 in about an hour or 2 on an ambush farm at 0x8 no bosses. I died some and I was popping purples like crazy but it worked. I was clearing the front room almost as fast as my ss/fire brute does, but he is on 3x8 with bosses and usually a few extra people taking my insp drops.
  19. I 'm pretty sure melt armor is pretty useless compared to sleet in the epic pools. It got hit hard by the nerf bat. Off the top of my head its like 7.5 % -resist and -def and sleet is what -30%? Yeah go with sleet.
  20. My characters MUST have capped run speed or I'm not happy. I do the ninja/beast/sprint/swift/hurdle thing as a lowbie but as soon as I fix endurance enough to leave SS on its a must have.

I do understand the running into walls problem though it takes a ton of practice and a fast computer to make it work right, and in cave you kinda have to learn to use the walls to your advantage rather than detriment.
  21. My favorite part of the forums is looking at other people builds and seeing all the things that everyone does differently.

I lol'd just now when I noticed that neither or you have a true travel power in the build. Nothing wrong with this but it doesn't fit my play-style.

All my characters have SS and SJ because my VG are avid speed TF'ers and its just the fastest way to get around. SS is always running on everyone of my characters and at this point I can hardly function in the game without it.
  22. Yeah, like I said its one of those things I'm kinda crazy about. I'd much rather be self sufficient and turn all those blues into reds! My SS/Fire's blue bar basically only moves when rage or hasten crash and that's the way I like it. I only have consume 1 slotted with a performance shifter acc/rech/endmod and it only gets used during rage crash (don't even really need it then).

I could probably respec him and sqeeze out some more AOE, but at this point I can throw anything at him and it melts. He got his Tier 4 spiritual tonight too! WOOT! WOOT! 829 heal every ~10-11 seconds!
  23. You don't like raids or TF's, so YOU CHOOSE the long grindy way. Then you complain that it is too long and grindy?

    Well you picked it......
  24. Sonic/Rad will be a debuff monster on AV's and GM's. Sonic can get about 40% -resist on top of awesome rad debuffs, which means on a single target you can basically floor resistance, regen, I think somthing like -50% defense, and huge -tohit. AOE on Sonic has always felt dissappointing to me.

I'd build for perma AM. It fixes most endurance issues (my Fire/rad still really enjoys his cardiac alpha though) and isn't really that hard, and if you can get your S/L and/or Ranged def near 40% your -tohit can really shore up the difference to soft cap.
  25. I'm at work and don't have mids so I'll look at it again when I get home.

Right off the bat though, I'd change the way radiant aura is slotted. I don't like the Num+/+ proc in a click because you only get the benfit for 2 min after you last use the power. I know on my fire/rad i'm not spamming my heal most of the time. I know your going for the range def bonus, but I'd still move that around.

Mine is at ~40% to S/L and almost as much Ranged and the -tohit toggle makes up way more than that ~5% to soft cap.
