  1. Looks to me like you have everything underslotted, and I'm not real fond of your power choices. It may take you a while to actually kill anything with that build.
  2. Both of my level 50 /WP toons (DM/WP and Fire/WP) could not fit in SoW and they have never missed it. It's quite optional.
  3. It may be possible on a tanker, but would be quite difficult with the lower DPS than Scrappers. Its easier to make a Scrapper with enough survivability than it is to make a Tanker with enough DPS.

    A WP Scrapper can indeed solo AV's, but it will cost you much more than the couple hundred million max goal you have set.

    With that goal in mind, I would suggest a Fire Melee / Super Reflexes Scrapper with Aid Self in the build. You can easily softcap /SR and with Aid Self can heal back the damage when you get hit, and you will get hit occasionally. I suggest Fire because you can get very high DPS attack chains with little recharge requirements (High recharge gets quite expensive).

    With that said, this post only reflects Hero melee characters, as there are other Archtypes that can do the job as good or better.
  4. I just finished this badge in Siren's Call, in the North East corner. There wasn't a ton of them, took about 2 hours or so to get the 16 I needed, though I was also working on Warrior Bosses at the same time, so it wasn't bad.

    Also, doing the zone "Hotspot" fights usually netted another 1-2 Toxics.

    Yes, the difficulty slider works for Flashback missions, just the same as it does for regular missions.
  6. I use 'Incinerate - Scorch - Cremate - Scorch' attack chain. I can solo a Pylon in 5 minutes so single target DPS with it is great, and its also very high DPE.

  7. My current and by far favorite scrapper is Fire/Shield/Blaze. I'd put it up against any scrapper for farming speed. I also think Elec/Shield would be comparable for pure no boss farming, but lacks the single target damage to finish off bosses as fast as Fire.

    Aside from farming, a F/S/B scrapper is a top notch all around scrapper. The single target damage make it a superior candidate for AV and GM killing (on teams). With Aid Self, you would also be a pretty solid AV soloer, though I personally did not go this route.

    All that said, its going to be expensive to get to that point. But hey, what good is farming if you have nothing to spend it on, right?
  8. I'd suggest Incinerate - Scorch - Cremate - Scorch. As Werner said, lowish recharge needed (dont need haste), good DPE and only 3 attacks needed, letting you take other goodies.

    By this response, it looks like you haven't really looked at the Kinetic combat set much. All my attacks on my DM/WP are in the red for damage, so that's not an issue.

    I also have 40% global recharge, and with slotting in the attacks, that is plenty to run MG - SP - Smite - SL - SP - Smite attack chain, which isnt far off the the "top tier".

    The only thing that is a little low is accuracy (All single target attacks are at 129%), but this was stated as an AV soloing build, and I'm always at 95% chance to hit against AV's.

    So, you think a scrapper running the above attack chain is Tanker level damage? lol. Most AV soloing scrapper builds have to sacrifice somewhere, and the extreme survivability of this build MORE than makes up for the few percent more damage it could be doing.

  11. Don't underestimate the power of a decked out DM/WP. You can essentially be softcapped to all types, 50% S/L resistance. 2200+ HP, 700%+ regen with 1 foe in range. Its almost indestructable.

    My Fire/SD was pretty squishy on the way to 50, though I only really had WP to compare to. I found WP to be much more survivable with common IO's in general, but did not have that extra offensive "oomph" that SD provides.

    That said, I never put any of the cheaper sets on my SD because I had a high end build all planned and worked towards that. If you can get 35ish defense on the cheap, then I'd say that would be pretty solid.

    And life gets a little easier soloing once you get Shield Charge. The mitigation from the KD is quite helpful, let alone most of the minions will be dead afterward anyway. In teams you'll be pretty spectacular even with a cheaper build.

  14. I made a few changes, mostly to the slotting. I did change out Strength of Will for Shadow Maul.

    Changed the Oblit set from Soul Drain to Shadow Maul and added Adjusted Targeting set to Soul Drain. You mentioned wanting to kill AV's. Doing that you will want to have extra minions around to fuel SD and RttC, meaning you don't want to kill them off with SD from the extra damage from Oblits. Adjusted Targeting set also has more recharge.

    Shadow Maul will give you a bit of AE damage while not soloing AV's.

    Added some slots to Boxing for the S/L def bonus. Although I really dislike slot mules, sometimes they are a necessary evil. Also, you could use Boxing or Shadow Maul as an attack chain filler when hasten is down.

    Moved the healing uniques to take advantage of the better heal % slotted in HPT, and removed the Miracle recovery proc. Don't think you will need it with all the End recovery you have along with Dark Consumption.

    Other changes of note:

    Added 20% more global recharge
    All typed defenses at 31%
    Regen is up to 774% with 1 enemy in range. (Getting the HP accolades will add quite a bit to your HP/second regen rate).
    Raised HP total from 1879 to 1952. (Getting the HP accolades will bring this to 2220).

    This build will be VERY sturdy. You should be able to kill many AV's with it, and I dont think any regular missions will challenge you much.

    I didn't want to change many power choices, as that could interfere with play style, so as mentioned, most changes are just slotting. Notice I even left you an empty slot you could add anywhere you like. Hope this build helps, or at least gives you some ideas to think about.

  16. Couple questions,

    You have Dark Consumption and Soul Drain slotted for damage. Are you planning on using these as AOE damage or just have them slotted like that for the set bonuses?

    How attached are you to Strength of Will?

    With the amount of End Recovery you have (including the 3 procs), it looks like you could run FA all the time, is that your plan?

    The build looks ok, but I could improve it quite a bit depending on how you answer those questions.
  17. I've found it better, when dealing with purples, to just flip either the recipe or the crafted enhancement. As you have seen, the recipe's often exceed the enhancement going rate. So crafting for profit is not always easy with purples. On the other hand, straight flipping can be quite lucrative as you can often fill low ball bids, then sell at the mid to higher end of the going rate.

  20. Specifically, I use level 53 Luck of the Gambler recipes. (No particular reason I use LotG) I put up 2 bids of 1 billion each bid. Just remember not to put a third bid on the same recipe or you will lose everything over the 2 billion when you want to use the cash and cancel the bid.

    This is really the key for lower population servers. Global Channels. Pretty much everything I do that is not solo starts from one of the server channels I'm in. TF's, Badge hunts, GM hunts, Mission teams, whatever. If all I went by was Broadcast, then I too would think there was nobody home and I'd get bored quick.

    That is not the case. Some are getting the bonus if they're sk'd, others are not getting it if they're exemp'd.

    A level 40 sk'd to a lvl 45 gets their bonuses... another level 40 exemp'd to a lvl 35 does not get their bonuses.

    It's a question of the inequality that is the issue.

    I can't tell if you are joking or not, cause this sure doesn't seem to be something to get all up tight about. If you play on Pinnacle, and you level up, send me a tell and I'll run you over 1 of each large inspiration until this is fixed
  25. You really want to get typed defense up to 30 - 35% to accomplish what you are looking to do. After that, load up on HP and regen. Soft capping may theoretically be possible, but totally not practical. You should be able to stand in the middle of most 0/+8 spawns all day and sip on some tea with defense in that range.

    I'm at work so I cant look at Mids, but from memory (I havent played with my WP builds in a while) the sets you want include Kinetic Combat, Aegis ... Sorry, I'll have to look when I get home and add to this post. It wont be too hard to get the numbers you want without sacrificing other slotting.

    Edit: Ok - So the 3 big ones I was thinking of are Kinetic Combat (Melee) which gives 3.75% S/L with a set of 4. Aegis (Resistance) gives 3.13% Fire/Cold with a set of 3, and Eradication (PBAoE) gives 3.13% Energy/Negative with a set of 3.
