This thread is making me feel all kinds of nostalgic. I remember when my first Hero got to 50, and he expended all the content that was available at the time. He ended up retiring from the Hero business to become a farmer.
A Kora fruit farmer. -
If you don't have the limited death challenge set, it tends not to count the deaths. Or at least that's been my experience.
-
All I can say is, at least she scales now. She is indeed a Hero class enemy on the badge mission, so picture fighting THAT at the level you face her.
-
Sounds like a blast, but I hope you aren't too married to the idea of not going after the bombs. I'd honestly be very surprised if there wasn't SOMEONE who goes after them no matter what. Likely someone who doesn't read the boards.
Also, thanks for giving my level 36 something to bring with him. -

If you really don't want to be bothered, then turn on "Don't accept invites". That one people usually listen to, because they have to.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, they really don't. They just send you tells to tell you to change your status so they can invite you. -

P.S. - You forgot to rate the arc in MA.
[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, I must have closed the window as soon as it opened, because I don't even remember seeing it. Although, since I intend to run it again, it shouldn't remain a problem for long -
Arcs in this thread that I have missed:
71736: Breaking the Food Chain
28016; Intelligence Artificial
59821: Villains just want to have fun
44824: Fan Favorite
8772: Between Light and Shadows -
Rescue Junior: Very impressive challenge style arc. I am definitely looking forward to trying this again, on a team and with a character higher than level 4. The contact could use a name, though and I think the enemy group would do will with custom descriptions, to help explain the names, if nothing else.
Death to Disco!: Entertaining story/silly arc, a little on the short side, but with plenty of humorous comments/in-jokes from both genres. It The final boss could have been bumped up a little in difficulty for a more climactic feel, but it's also an arc worth repeating. -
I think I'll be able to get both of them in during my show, which I would like to remind everyone is at 5PM Eastern tonight.

Do I believe any of them have played the game from 1-50 as a normal player without giving in to the urge to use the power at their disposal? Nope. It gets too tedious once you get into the 30s.
[/ QUOTE ]
Speak for yourself. I got one character to level 50 THREE TIMES and it wasn't one bit tedious. That's right, same powerset combo and even costume, for 150 levels. And NO powerleveling or farming.
Again, speak for yourself rather than making blanket statements as if they were "facts".

Of course he thinks it's impossible for a Dev who has access to /setlevel 50 to not use it on every character. After all, if *he* had access to such a command, he'd use it all the time.
[/ QUOTE ]The best part of this is, on their private accounts (the ones that don't have their forum ID as a global), they don't have ACCESS to those tricks. Their private accounts are exactly the same as any other player. -

damned virtue and their portals. something must be done!
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a plan...
[/ QUOTE ]Not that's what I'm talking about. I saw their attempts at revelry while I was visiting, and I think we need to show Virtue how we party. -

See this is why we have the Confused Couch.
It doesn't change from day to day. Only collects weird stuff from prior inhabitants.
Oh look, a peanut!
[/ QUOTE ]
/e sits on confused couch. looks around, asks,"what the heck is a rookery?"

*sits next to Be_*
[/ QUOTE ]Alright you two, stop squishing Zek, head down to Virtue and have a look around. The Rookery Threads (not to mention the poster) are very visible. -
Huh. I'd have figured folks here would have jumped on this. Well, I'll keep checking the thread for future shows, and if it gets purged, I'll be over at Protector.

Edit- Hey! Me and Fedor LOVE the basement.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, it seems you like MOST of the basement. There's the issue of that still open Protector Portal in the corner. -
Ah, I was actually wondering about that. The only Dom I played was Ice/Ice. Dropped it right after SOs because it was such a poor fighter.
-
I thought that's why Castle said - on every occasion PSW changes were mentioned - that he'd be increasing the rest of the set as well.

There has already been a side switching signature character: Malaise.
[/ QUOTE ]Not to mention Foreshadow, who's could have been the poster boy for side switching. -
I think it does, because Zombie/Rikti raids can still hit the empty zones. THey don't usually stick around very long, though.

Not really that fussed about the Anniversary badges for two reasons:
1) I have yet to roll a character that would use them as a Badge title
2) The character that matches my forum title is WP/SS. Clearly, HE doesn't have all of them, and if my namesake doesn't why should I care if the rest of them do or not? -
Also, Castle has made several posts in the big thread in the last couple of days, so more folks are here following the Dev Digest (I'm one of them). Wouldn't be surprised if more than a few stuck around to see what finally made Castle blow his top.
-
Wow, that sucks. I had always thought that the prior rule was in place so folks with connection issues wouldn't have all their time wasted in a last minute crash. It also made kicking folks while on the last AV a less harsh threat, as well.
-
I'll keep an eye on it, then. I may just end up postponing the Virtue show until a later week, if I don't have any volunteers.
-
I've developed my own kind of fun in PvP zones. Since I'll never be good enough at PvP to actually win a fight, I've taken to seeing just how long I can stay alive, and I don't count time in a base. As soon as I see a potential combatant, I break off what I'm doing and high tail. It's actually pretty funny watching how dedicated most of the PvPers I see get to hunting down the target that only runs away.
-
Did they change TF rewards? I've been under the impression that kicking someone that was in the mission for the majority of the time it took that they still got the TF complete badge/reward even if they were booted last minute. I know I myself have had times where I crashed out during the AV fight at the end of a Task Force, and when I log back in, the TF is already over, and the rewards screen (this was several Issues ago, obviously) was waiting for me.

If only recharge was touched, to meet the rules to the key, it would have to be changed to a 56 second recharge, this would lower dps drastically.
[/ QUOTE ]
Looking for a little clarification on this point. Was that a typo, or did he really mean 56 seconds? What's the recharge set to now?
