Bit late for this response, but Walk actually does work in Power Suppressed areas. Unless you're suggesting a new version in which it doesn't.

I have never seen any character spout off the "being above good and evil" line and mean anything other than "I don't want to cop to being the bad guy, but I really really am."
-
Whoops.
Like I said, not well read.
Not sure how I could have made a blunder that big, though.
EDIT: I think I figured out where that came from. I don't have many comics, but I *do* have the full Amalgam set. -
I realize I'm stepping in the middle of a heated conversation, but this is a serious question, born from an ignorance of the character. What job WOULD she hold? For that matter, what jobs has she held? I'm not the most read on the character, but the only job I can remember off the top of my head was when she worked for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Quote:I stand corrected. We've done CoT under 4 minutes

but I think it can be done under 3 minutes -
I've seen a lot lately that quicker is better when it comes to Task Forces and Trials, but I'll like to throw in a counter point. I'm not saying I enjoy 12 hour slog-fests, but five minute Task Forces are just as bad in my opinion.
OK, so there hasn't been any TF as short as five minutes, but the Original Katie skirted pretty close. Actually, the Cathedral of Pain is a bigger offender in my eyes, given that you only fight two spawns. One with the thing you're supposed to destroy, and then BAM there's the Aspect of Rularuu, no story, no build-up, nothing but get your Item and get out.
The above is just my opinion, but I feel the need to get it out there to make sure the devs know that quicker may generally be better, but there is a limit. -
Quote:Actually, I try to hold to military standard. I hold to that standard, because I am former military, and that's what I know. And there's a VAST difference between that standard and associating with people who want to Nuke a city that they EXPLICITLY ensured would have no actual targets other than civilian. The point of those questions is this: before you've seemed to argue that those who oppose Cole must be held to a standard that seems well beyond even what a real life military would hold itself to. War is nasty business and civil wars even more so. These conflicts almost always take place in areas where civilians are put in harms way. It seems unreasonable to suggest that Cole could be unseated without there being no harm or disruption to the civilian population of Praetoria.
EDIT: Especially when it's already well known that the weapon used wouldn't even harm the primary target even if he was there.
EDIT2: And this is already off topic. Perhaps we should shift to PMs. -
Quote:It depends on how much effort is being taken to limit or avoid civilian casualties. And no, I'm not able to sit down and arbitrarily say how much effort is 'enough', with the excpetion that there has to be at least some. We've talked about this before so I won't rehash it. I'll just say that while I don't think an armed insurrection is unwarranted, I can see why the leadership of the Resistance and some of their tactics put some people off. But let me ask, let's say there was a third faction that was trying to instigate a civil war, one where civilians would be killed, but not targeted. Would you join up with them?

Actually, I'll agree here, and my character DID defect, it's just that he defected to Primal Earth, not to the Resistance. That character will have no trouble wiping out Cole's system, especially the Seers.

Quote:Well then, in sticking with fictitious police, do you believe Commissioner Gordon to be on the same level as the Joker? Because this was the impression that I got from the Responsibility track, that our characters were doing what they could to keep the people safe, even from the system that so completely betrayed them. The only difference is that our characters didn't have a man dressed like a bat to untie their hands. Why did YOU assume that I was talking about a RL police force? Chief Interrogator Washington is a cop. And your character is a cop (a conscripted member of the PPD's powers division.)
That is, until they hit level 20, get to Primal Earth and find the means to don the cape and cowl themselves. (I would totally read an Elseworlds where Gordon became the Bat, BTW) -

This really does bear repeating. You can't expect people to provide information when they're not clear what information you're looking for.

I've not had as much trouble with Biff as others in this thread, but that's largely because after the first time with my main Mastermind none of my Villains have lowered themselves to working with Terrance Dobbs. Forty levels of Villainy, all to be Dale Gribble's sidekick? Yeah, no.

I'm probably alone in this, but I've always seen the variety of troops on the 5th to be the five columns of the 5th Column. Of course, I'm more than ready to accept that the way I'm looking at the group is stretching it, but we have the normal troops, the Super Soldiers, the Vampyres, the War Wolves and the Robots. The big deal with the Council is the Galaxy and the Archons, the only ones that aren't copy-paste from the 5th.
My thoughts on a split between the two would be to make the Council more specialized, with the Nictus/Ascendants (to officially include the Void) and to give the 5th a real 5th Column. Perhaps they also managed to recruit some of Vahzilok's surgeons, after all it goes along with the sciency horror theme of the rest of the group. -
What if I feel pride in not knowing what power sets are good farming characters, and thus have no clue if I even have one?
It's just not important enough to me to even think about. -

So, I click on the link and I get a YouTube ad, which it tells me I can skip in 5 seconds. I'm initially confused, because I'm looking at the green band in front of a trailer. Turns out the ad in front of a trailer for Thor, is a trailer for The Source Code.
I'm now looking forward to two movies. -
Have you tried to target something other than the Taunter while under the effect? If it's working right, you shouldn't be able to.
