My own guidelines:
Early Game: 1 - 21 (based on Stamina, a lot of my characters don't take it til 22)
Mid Game: 22 - 40
Late Game: 41 - 49 (Epic/ Patron pool availability)
End Game: 50 (no more xp earned) -
Quote:Hmm... as a non-ebil non-marketeer, I have my own question along this line, which I'll toss in here.Prices from 250,000,000 to 400,000,000 on Purple sets, and certain Procs are absolutely outrageous.
Respec Recipe 200,000,000?
How many marketeers are there that do more than dabble in these? I'd think that they'd would be more likely to deal in commodities that are more readily available.
Of course, what do I know? For the most part, I'm a member of the "I want it now" (or I'll do without) crowd. -

I've been watching the Stargate SG-1 DVDs recently, and I just want to emulate the heroic Col. Jack O'Neill who, when tortured and taunted by his Jaffa captor, still maintained the presence of mind and consciousness of the value of a good education to say, "you ended that sentence with a preposition... <seven letter term for a person born out of wedlock, which has become a pejorative that is censored by this site>!"

No, there's a new TF that takes you back in time and removes the game from existence.
The game, these boards, everything... none of it exists. You're just delusional. -
Might be something you've already checked, but just in case... make sure that you're choosing the server on which you created the character.

Quote:Agreed. I usually don't like the AE (though I have run across some good missions) and I don't really like playing the market, but when I want to craft something I'll usually run one or two "Very Short" AE missions, buy rolls for Common Salvage as needed, and often put the excess salvage on the market for somewhere between 10 and 500 inf per piece.at 8 tickets for a roll on a group of 6, there is no logical reason for people even those who use the AE only, to complain. Its trivial to get the salvage you want via tickets.
If there's a shortage of common salvage... it's because that's how the players want it. -
My blaster's standard battlecry (more of a "ready" statement, really) is "locked and loaded!". Sometimes, I change it up, though.
"I drink your milkshake!"
"This is <insert name of random Greek city-state other than Sparta in ALL CAPS>!"
"I knew I shoulda turned left at Albuquerque!"
"YOUR AD HERE!" -
Things like this make me kind of nostalgic for fantasy-based MMOs.
In DAoC, my standard response was to tell the beggar to seek a manor outside the city, the lord can likely use a new serf and the beggar is clearly unsuited to the life of a freeman. It's kind of hard to RP that kind of condescension in CoH. -
Quote:Bought an item on the market... most of it goes to the person selling....Where does it go after you've bought an item on the market, sold an item to a vendor, or paid for a tailor session? It's just something I've always wondered, AND I NEED TO KNOW!
Sold an item to a vendor... it goes to your character. -

So, would these merits replace existing recipe drops in missions?

Okay, you asked for it...

A Tigger's a wonderful thing.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of spring
They're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy,
fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
The most wonderful thing
about Tiggers is:
I'm the only one! -

So now we just need a Ranchers group so we can have range wars.
But do we want to base the war on Shane or Oklahoma!? -
Quote:If you set up a secondary build now, you'll have to advance it from level 0 to level 49 at the trainer. (I say level 0 because the first step is to choose your level 1 power) You don't start at 0 experience; you tell the trainer you want to advance a level, and when you're finished levelling up and are back at the conversation screen, you tell him/ her you want to level up (again), etc. You have to keep the same Archetype and Primary and Secondary powersets, but your second build can have different Power Pools and a different Epic/ Patron Pool.According to Paragon Wiki, the secondary build does NOT level alongside the primary. It must be leveled seperately. So (shudder) does that mean if I choose a secondary build on my lvl 49, I'd have to start ALL OVER AGAIN at lvl 1?
Enhancements do not carry over between builds; the second build will start out completely empty.
When you hit 50, you will need to level each build up separately.
I'm only using secondary builds on a couple of characters so far. My mind/emp controller has added a more efficient build for raids and TFs, and I'm setting up a Huntsman build on my VEAT (currently a Bane spider). -

Quote:Sounds like a plan... I'll do the same. Want to team up?If I decide to ever try this game, the first thing I'm going to do is create a hero and name him "Spartacus"
And just think how much easier it will be on thier CS staff, not to have to keep track of a silly number, just rename characters "Generic Hero". -

Hmmm... I'd have to check, it's been a while since I had a character with the Day Job power. I seem to recall having both available, but I could easily be mistaken.
