Purps Store Price

What determines the recipe prices when you sell them off at the stores?

Some IO's are up to 10,000 inf.
Commons sell for about 100,000 inf or so.

Purple recipes only sell for 5,000 inf. Isn't that a ripoff? Considering the rarity and the bonuses, shouldn't they be more like 500,000 inf? At least more than commons. I hate selling them for 5,000.

Eryq, that's the best you could do? Honestly? You need to try harder man. Stick to the "flippers are ebil" line you've been so successful with in the past.

I think there's a field in a database on the servers which controls that. It is not client-modifiable.

I'll bite and say that I think the store prices are set to encourage you to sell on the market rather than at the store. If you don't want to use the market, I'll buy yours from you for 5 Mil a piece so I can store them in my SG.

5 mil for 5 k is overkill.... i couldnt let u do that.

The devs set those prices, and I think you know that.

EDIT: Actually, I'd like eryq2 to go on record that he actually has vendored purples, and has never sold one at the consignment house.

I can't do that. lol.... I use WW to sell or buy. I just don't flip and don't like that people do that. I can't see or understand how that helps anything but their bottom dollar. But that's a different issue/topic.

I usually don't sell purps. I farm PI enough to slot my toons with them without buying them and paying those WAY overpriced prices.

Also, i would like to go on record and say i have become a billionaire with selling alone, no flipping req. I made 600mil this past w/e alone on 1 drop and 2 gold rolls.

The voice of the clueless once again. If you think the 'ebil marketeers' drove up those prices, you know nothing about the market.

I'm thinking that Hart was being sarcastic, but it may just be my own generally overly-sarcastic nature that thinks so.

I lol'd.

Scarcity produces high prices. By effectively deleting an already scarce product you endorse the high prices. Ergo, eryq2 is ebil because he makes the prices higher.

Actually, the only limiting factor for me is the number of market slots I have available on that toon at that specific time. If someone wants to "flip" salvage by buying up excess supply and holding it for me when I need it, I'm totally fine paying their holding "fees".

I'd be the happiest customer in the world to pay 50K/250K/1-2Million for commons/uncommons/rares. Knowing that they are available is worth it to me. Nothing more annoying than having a shortage of a common consumable salvage getting vendored for peanuts. Post everything for 5 and collect the coin.
