  1. I'm sorry I missed the fun. Stupid real life!
  2. Since you'll never be taller than every NPC you encounter (namely Council/Column soldiers who are even taller than max), something arbatrary between 7' and 8' should be tall enough to lord yourself over most PCs you'll meet.

I'd go with "an ear above 7 feet" tall if it were me.

As long as the novels are something to go by Statesman is still very much a product of his time. He may have been granted the powers of Zeus but he didn't inherit that aspect of the god's personality. He was completely soul-broken when his wife died. In the pages of Freedom Phalanx we learn that she was pretty close to the only person keeping Marcus tethered to, well, anything. At least that's how I understood the peek into his grief addled mind that we're given then.

I'm not sure how to reconcile the Statesman from Web and Phalanx with the Statesman of the comics as I think they're considerably different in character. That Statesman seems to be the beginnings of channeling a more Zeus-like persona.

So, assuming, as it's been said, that the Well didn't quite froze his biology at 30 but merely sent him into overdrive, what we have here is a blazing testosterone-fueled powerhouse and almost whole-Earth leader of men. Who's he going to date?

If she's really hot, and minimally pleasant, she would in fact have a pretty good chance.
Being human he could be tempted to dalliances with pleasant and pretty girls but, again, I'm not convinced Marcus Cole is the one night (or even 'few times') stand kind of guy. And even for more long term companionship (normal human scale long term) it would take someone exceptional to compete with the 50 plus years he spent with Monica.

A great time tonight and a great sewer run!
  5. Woo! A sewer trial! That sounds funtastic!

Ezra Cole was murdered by Stephan or another agent of Arachnos in order to entice Marcus to return to Paragon City and eliminate the Nemesis threat. The crime was arranged to look like an early automaton prototype killed the elder Cole brother.

Costume Set or Piece: Dimension Shift costume change emote

Bug Description: When looking at my costume slots for EI (have all 5 unlocked) and select "Dimension Shift" as my costume change emote and then click on another costume slot...there is no new animation....after about 5-8 seconds it just changes my costume to the one I clicked on. All other costume change emotes seem to be working fine.

Just looked at this myself. On my willpower tank if I have any toggles running I get the audio of powers reactivating and then after a few seconds the costume changes without playing the emote. With the toggles off Dimension Shift animates normally.

This. It's a feature of the vBulletin software.

After you cure the Lost doing the guarding the hostage will continue to cower until the level 1 civilian leaves the map. Once that happens the hostage will be recoverable and you can lead him to safety.

Dude. I want 150 points in Flort.
  11. I skipped from XP right into Win7. My old habit was to tab out while the game was loading. I eventually discovered that to keep the loveliness of Aero, I had to let the game take premier focus and go all the way to the login screen before I could alt tab to anything but the game. If I tabbed out before then it would play the I'm Locked Up and Look Ugly game, which I do hate so much.
  12. Another in a long line of me toos. So many "Oh, that's awesome/perfect/let me have your babbies!" moments that they're too many to count. I just wish the Rogue Isles were brighter because the new contacts there are so much better looking than the brightly lit (lol ninjas) new guys in Paragon.

Most scrappers can't fight Ghost Widow: bringing one just means that one of your DPS characters has to be sidelined on an archvillain fight, which explains why melee characters are not in strong demand for the task force regardless of how good they are elsewhere. Most controllers aren't allowed to use their pets on Ghost Widow, or for that matter on the first three rounds with Romulus. If masterminds are allowed to run hero TFs, they won't be wanted here either. This is already broken, broken, broken, and will become more obviously so come Going Rogue.
The first time I faced Ghost Widow was on an 8 man bank mission. Everything was going just great until it was GW what showed up in the lobby. At first I was "hey! it's that character from that place!" She threw out the lolscrapper hold and as I was twisting about uselessly in the air I fell in love. No, not with the character, ( ) but with the mechanics of the mob. This was long before Vanguard could make mincemeat out of a scrapper; and even longer still before the Romans could make julienne strips of one.

All in all, your posts reflects why I have stayed for nearly six years now. I tried other games, but this one kept me coming back. One game I was in for years was DAOC in the early days.
Trials of Atlantis ruined Dark Age for me as well. And I didn't get into the RvR as much!

Without knowing what Positron has built it's hard to get behind the speculative doom?™.

    WP/SS - PvE

If this is a generally PvE tank, you'll do just fine with SOs alone. Any generic IOs, and any IO set bonuses you want to stack on top of that are simply gravy above that.
  15. The PREPURCHASE button is interfering with the drop down from the GAME INFO button. I can't select anything on the GAME INFO menu because it disappears when a mouse down the list and mouse over the PREPURCHASE object.

Firefox, Camino and Safari have the same issue.
  16. Will we ever find a more wretched hive of scum and or villainy?

Stephan and Marcus drank from the Well of the Furies triggering their transformation into what we call Incarnates. Marcus was curious as to the source of the Well's power and followed the stream feeding the Well to an antechamber. Therein he discovered the box (thought to be the box of Pandora from myth). Upon opening that the collected energy was distributed throughout the world.

In Web it was related that this was not the only time the box had been opened. (As Dragon Shadow says.)

My reading of Web states that the box had been moved (or otherwise disappeared) before Stephan or Marcus could retrieve it. So it's possible that it is still out there, somewhere, starting to collect its energy for release at a future time.

    Submitted for your approval:

Just an ordinary internet forum. People exchange ideas. Some laugh, others cry. What happens when another seemingly ordinary everyday object intrudes upon their comfortable virtual world? The answer to this question lay in that hazy world between light and dark. A no man's land known as The Twilight Zone.
  21. Oh, man. That Malaise mission had me laughing and crying. My poor little tanklet with the not-yet-overlapping status protection.

Fight, fight, sleep, immob, confuse, lather rinse repeat. Even when I stepped back to take care of stragglers that sucker sleeped me! I was sleeping so far away from the action!

I was but a minor DoT fighting next to all of you. I can't believe how long it was taking to fight a minion. But I regret nothing! (Though I wished to show off my Roman inspired tank to Heraclea - whom I secretly worship from afar.)
  22. Reposting this:

I had a great time. Big thanks to my teammates for letting my wee Tanklet along on their high level fun. We took on the Psychic Clockwork King, beelined for a battle with the Kraken and ended with back-to-back psionic battles with first Mother Mayhem and then Malaise.

Thanks for running this on all servers and thanks to the kindly folks traveling from other servers! Now I'm considering building a Tanker to join in the monthly run on Champion.

  24. I had already submitted a bug report on this. Seemed an odd thing to overlook given the number of years they've had to plan for this event.
