Tanker Tuesday Tour '09 finale

Heeeeellooooo, Cleveland!...er, I mean Virtue server.

Most(if not all) of you probably don't know me, but you may have heard about Tanker Tuesdays being held on Champion. You may have been to the 3 year anniversary which gathered 500+ Tanks on Champion with some Dev appearances, and numerous contests for prizes, or seen that it won the 2006 Favorite Player-run Event award. Or not. It doesn't matter.

I'm just one of the Tanks that have attended, and helped run it when needed every first Tuesday for 63 straight months(5 year anniversary was October).

Well, to make a long story short, we thought it would be fun to hold some Tanker Tuesdays on the other servers. Once a month, on the 3rd Tuesday (regular TT is 1st Tuesday on Champion, 2nd Tuesday is on Justice now) going in alphabetical order.

So, all you Tank lovers please meet up on the wall near the Independence Port Gate in Kings Row Tuesday, Jan. 19th at 9 pm est where we will split into teams to have some all-tanker fun.

All levels, and powersets are welcome, as long as you are a Tank.

The only requirement is that you have fun, and take the initiative to attain it. Any Virtue Tanks who want to step up, and co-host/lead a team, please do. Just show up, and let us know. The more the merrier. No sign-up is necessary.

If you want to run a TF, let us know so we can see if others would like to join you, and we'll try to put a team together. We've completed pretty much every TF in the game with an all-Tank team, including STF, and ITF (results may vary ).

We usually try to form the TFs before normal mission teams.

To assist in forming teams, we ask that you hold up the numbers:

1 for levels 1-10
2 for levels 11-20
3 for levels 21-30
4 for levels 31-40
5 for levels 41-50

with the Judge emote (i.e. /em score 10) while standing on the wall. Once picked for a team, please join your team off the wall. It also helps if Tanks with like numbers stand close to each other on the wall.

I might even try to run a Tanking 101 team. For this, please let me know via tell.

I also ask that you join the TankHQ channel(/chanjoin TankHQ) for the event, or longer if you want, especially if you are late. Please let us know through the channel, and we'll do our best to put you on an appropriate team. We also put upcoming TT events in the MOTD on this channel.

This will be the last stop on the TTTour '09. We've traveled through every server over the past 10 months, and I've had a boatload of fun, and hopefully all the tanks that attended did as well.
I'm not sure if I'll be organizing a TTTour '10, or if I'm even going to reup my yearly sub in Feb. since I don't play CoX much anymore except for TT's. I've been playing since Sept. '04.
We'll see, but I figure a month or two break might change my mind since there are really only 9 servers/9 months to tour since Champion, and Justice already have monthly TT's

Finally, I'd like to maybe do a STF, LGTF, KTF, or ITF for this event since this is one of the few servers I have a 45+ level tank. Post here if you are interested.

Well, I've managed to miss attending all of these...lol. I hope you all had fun!

I had a great time. Big thanks to my teammates for letting my wee Tanklet along on their high level fun. We took on the Psychic Clockwork King, beelined for a battle with the Kraken and ended with back-to-back psionic battles with first Mother Mayhem and then Malaise.

Thanks for running this on all servers and thanks to the kindly folks traveling from other servers!

Thanks for the hospitality, Virtue. We ended up with a lowbie team that did the Midnighter arc, and another one that did some Psi AV mission, and helped take out the kracken.


I had a load of fun, and got to take out my lvl 46 Stone/Stone Tank, Asteroid Man, for the occasion.

If anybody would like to request a TTTour: Reload, which is just another Tanker Tuesday on the 4th Tuesdays, you can do so in the Tanker Tuesday Thread in the Tanker Forums.

If you'd like to join a monthly TT, there is one on Champion the 1st Tuesday every month, and Justice the 2nd Tuesday.

If you don't have any Tanks on those servers, TT's are a great way to get some levels fast on a new Tank alt.
