"'ey buddy... did you jus' see a real -bright- light?"

I tend to do this where there's a badge which fits my chars' concepts. For a time, my celibate succubus strutted around Unabashed, and my catgirl doc wore Physician or Thief depending on whether she was at work or "at work." I had one char who came back from death and sported Reborn for a time. It's all highly situational.
When I look at other players' characters and their badge titles, if they've chosen something cryptic, it'll make me curious. If it fits what I understand about that character, I applaud the clever badge use. -
@Black Baron, this isn't an I-trial or an AE mission. What we're doing is meeting in the Dark Astoria zone and leaguing up to smash some monsters in-character.
@thread; still no reply. We're on our own.
I have a meeting with my boss at six, which should hopefully be over before kickoff. -
Ideally between 7-8 p.m. to be considerate to peoples' work lives and evening meals and other family commitments. I don't expect it to be a rush in, gank, rush out deal, so hot-joiners will be able to participate. No reply back to pm to dev at this time, but there's still all of tomorrow. Backup plan is to swarm the zone with everyone we can muster and just have some rampaging in-character until people tire and retreat, maybe grab explores and suchnot, too. Further suggestions welcome.

V, might I suggest the timeline be made into a page on the Union Handbook? Seems right it be maintained as a referenceable thing for future and current characters.

Pencil me in. I may bring my own rig if I can stuff it into a bag.

*edit* Fate has decided for me: I'm working Friday night.

Wait, Penny Yin was eighteen when Faultline happened? Penny? This is difficult to comprehend. I'd have bought that line about Fusionette, whose own age is a big question-mark in my mind, considering body model and behaviour. Penny's too short for an eighteen-year-old, even by the standards of exaggerated height set by most NPCs in the game. I am confused, and shall be in my corner.

You're entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't make it fact. Fact is, you tried shoving your idea down our collective throats like a yeasty knob and blame us for not liking the flavour. This is bad, bad form of the worst type. Thankfully I don't live on Virtue so will most likely not have to run across you. I'd probably ignore you if I did.
The only thing I cannot decide about you, DV, is whether you genuinely think your idea is amazing, or whether you've just pulled off a most spectacular troll. If the latter is true, then bravo, have a cigar. If not, then whatever deity you favour have mercy. -
I just found this thread today. I read the OP, and I speak totally for myself when I state my opinion.
The OP isn't just a tool. He's not a toolbox. Nor is he the toolshed. He's the main B&Q supply depot to the British Isles. -
Short answer: Cool story, bro.
Slightly longer answer: There are several places ocean-going vessels can make port, and Talos Island is one of them. I will nod to the use of 'shaked his head', which should be 'shook his head', but this I think may just be the language crossover and thus forgivable. I can ask a friend of mine who speaks Chinese to see how accurate Xuán Qú a translation is.
I'd love to see more of this mysterious character's story. If your char is or becomes RP-able, I'd recommend dropping more of his tales into the IC Story Thread if the installments are brief enough, or keep adding them here.
Overall, welcome to the roleplay section, where some of us are sane. -
Al, it's been a pleasure and a privilege to have RPd with you all these years. I've enjoyed seeing you go from a snot-no-... budding RPer to what you've become; a fairly well-rounded young man with his whole life ahead of him. I hope your future contains plenty enough laughs to make the sad moments bearable. Just don't be a stranger, or at least, don't be too strange. Smack my book of face anytime for talkies, chief.

'ning.
Despite being something of an irregular visitor to the Station, I'm very supportive of this idea and would enjoy piling along on the shenanigans, be it on Rumour or Dishonesty or Acre, or whichever char I imagine would be fun at the time.
I agree with Fea on the choosing of a day to set for the runs, say, for a month or something to get people into the groove, but she's right that it shouldn't become a hard-and-fast day/time to run things, lest it become the only day on which such things are run.
I can't guarantee what with shift patterns and such that I'll be available for every IC-teaming, but I'd like to grab what I can. -
There was a time when the OP's question would have made me answer immediately yes. Now it's a matter of 'here until Guild Wars 2.' It shan't stop me playing City of outright, as I'll still dip in to catch up with friends. But it will take up most of my gaming time.

For Dishonesty, the voice of Robyn Kramer (Neeshka the Tiefling in NWN2) is best fit.

Yes, definitely, and not just related to this game.

When there's a newbie on your team, you get an exercise in patience.

We have a cabal now? Nitro, that best be a joke. Do explain.

It's rather swish, but on my 1280x1024 screen it's bigger than I can display. Could you drop it down a bit in size?

Hey devs. Just a quick few suggestions here for character emotes.
;yoyo
;doubletake
;holdballoon (no, I don't know why. It's late -.-)
;sittalk <- for the on-seat chatting emote Praetorian NPCs taunt us with.
Also, can you port across all body types the gender-restricted emotes such as for sitting on benches? I don't see any reason why women chars aught not be allowed to sit with their arms over the backrests, or why effeminate men can't sit with a leg over the other (the futa players on Virtue might love such a pose? I dunno).
That's it for now. Feel free to add more suggestions for your preferred emotes in here guys. -

Boomed-town Brit
'In the very early hours of this morning sources have confirmed reports of a small but potent gas explosion in central Boumtown. There were no witnesses known to have seen the actual explosion, but a plume of smoke and reports from a field hospital set up in the hazard zone revealed that one Eric "Hearthbound" Hart (formerly "Hearth and Heart") was actively patrolling the area at the time.
Mr Hart graciously informed us that he was in part responsible for the blast. He confirmed that he was patrolling one of the partially demolished high-rises in the zone at around four a.m., but was assaulted by an Arachnos Blood Widow sent specifically to assassinate him. During the ensuing struggle, his fireballs touched off a gas pocket left over from the destruction of the building and brought several floors down onto his attacker.
Mr Hart is certain the Widow did not survive either the initial blast or the resulting partial demolition. He didn't escape unscathed; suffering wounds from multiple dart wounds but doctors at Steel Canyon Medical Centre who treated him say "He (Eric) will make a full recovery. His injuries were fortunately free of poison damage, so should heal naturally in a few weeks."
As a regular charity donator and infamous lady's man, Eric...' -

I'm looking forwards to the move to Freedom. I have a friend who's been interested in the game and the RP crowd (I've told them plenty about the verse we've created for Union) and they're very excited to try it out and bring her own original heroic and villainous characters into our world.
Additionally, the move to Freedom will allow people like myself to introduce new roleplayers to the game who might otherwise be put off by the trial limits and current level cap on trials. I can tempt them in with "Come give it a try; it's free."
Of course there will be a great many tools to add to the great List of Ignore, held within the bowels of Toolshedia, but hey, them's the breaks. Get trolls in every game, this one isn't so special. Ignore, report, move on. I'm willing to hope a tiny bit that the benefits of Freedom will outweigh the downfalls in that small minority population of the internet. But, we'll see. -
I, too, will be staying on Union. It's where Europe's roleplayers are and for the most part always have been. Also, moving out of reach of potential new RPers; people who would like to try the game and shared 'verse we've created and maintained, is a bad move. I have a friend who would love to come try the game and our RP, but would be locked out if every RPer upped-sticks and went into the exclusive server/s.
That and I have no reason to move. It's the self same reason I haven't moved to Virtue. All my chars are on Union and moving them anywhere one char at a time every month isn't a viable or appealing option. I also have little desire to level up alts of the originals. I don't like doing that on the one server, let alone another.
So no, I shan't be moved.
