Superior Invisibility from Illusion control never suppresses(except for in pvp and clicking glowies)

Quote:Given the comments the devs made it seems likely that the physical NDA stuff was for the trials and the League system. In that case the physical NDA made a lot of sense, it's not about the quantity of stuff to test but the fact that those systems represent a major upgrade to CoX and as such something the devs would want to keep under wraps during the initial testing.
Taking features from other MMOs would require a phsyically signed NDA? I don't see it, it's not like they are anything new to these types of games. Maybe my expectations were just to high. -
Two new raids and two new TFs but that can be all there is considering i20 needed a physically signed NDA. But if it is, huh?
Oh and it's called "Incarnates" so I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar at least 2 new incarnate slots are in there that they just haven't gotten the A-OK from martketing to release the info yet. -
Quote:How am I suppose to make my power push do more KB when it's already at the ED cap? I already suggested KB for alpha incarnate powers what else am i gonna do? It's already easy on a squishy to get 41 points of KB why make it easier and trivialize even more powers and play styles. Isn't this excatly what pvp 2.0 did. Aren't you against that?If it becomes easier for players to build knockback protection into their builds, surely you can figure out a way to work around that. Regardless, this is really about zone PvP, since just about everyone who PvPs in the arena will have enough KB protection to stop anything, and knockback is completely imbalanced in zone PvP with travel suppression and heal decay in their current implementation. It's bad enough that I can't get away and I can't heal, and now I'm knocked on my ***. No thanks.
I'm gonna make this blunt. This would ruin any energy blast toons for zone play and it would be in the same boat as ice blast, less then useless. -
Quote:Ya this is where your full of it, 80% of pvp zone toons are mellee so dont take accro so your stamina metaphor fails. This is obioulsy a personnal agenda just admit it.Yes, this is a straight up buff to Acro.
This change wouldn't stop knockback powers from being an issue, anymore then it already is. This would only free up 'needed' slots. Its like when everyone was taking the fitness pool for stamina. Stamina wasnt really NEEDED some could argue, but 90% of people took it because it made their whole playing experience that much better. This isn't much different. If you don't have the knockback protection in your build, your going to be flopping around. When you flop around in PvP, you die a lot. Thats counter productive to a positive playing experience.

Quote:Because its a straight up nerf to power push and other high mag KB powers that's how and ya power push is up there with forcebolt and power thrust.. On Blasters power push only goes up to about 35 when increased with KB enhancers, defender 45ish, not sure about corruptors or doms but it's in between thos two numbers.
How is playing an energy blast relevant here? Are you implying that the knockback from energy blast is greater then power thrust or force bolt? Because if it is (this would be a great surprise too, since that would be a ninja buff), then people would build to protect for that mag knockback. But it isn't, it is already covered by getting 41ish.
As far as getting this much protection in a build, I think you should reread the OP.
Most people already build to protect from high KB but some don't and changing accro like this would make EVERYONE triviallize not only power push, force bolt etc high level KB powers.
So bad idea is bad. Besides accro already use to be way higher protection they changed it, pretty sure they aint gonna change it again.
I read the OP already. You obviously have holes in your builds that you can not plug for whatever reasons and thought you'd whine on the forums for a nerf for all high mag KB powers. I don't take kindly to such suggestions -
as an zoner that sometimes plays energy blast I just have to give this a big
no.
besides on both my blasters I play zone with it's easy enough to get the KB IOS required to reach 41 points with a little investment and the right slotting and no gimp build. -
Quote:Ignorance is never an excuse.Buying up all the commons and selling for high prices isn't good for the new players. Sure they can sell and get some cash in their pocket. But when it comes time to buy and craft. They don't have enough influence or infamy to buy these common salvages to craft. Now is the part where you say, 20mins in AE will get you 1500 tickets and then you can trade those for commons. Do the new players who are learning the invention system really know this? Some do, but my guess is that most do not.

I already bought this so excited for real god animal heads and I wasn't dissapointed. Just a few thoughts for feedback, the lion mane really only goes around the neck when I think lion mane I think it covers the neck and shoulders of a lion so would love to see a mane for the neck option.
The new animal feet can only be used with the wierd bend legs and no offence but they look weird for a bipedal cat so i would love to be able to use the cat claws etc for they boot option of a normal leg.
Other then that I love it. -
For me out of my stable of 50s that have "made" it probably my Crab. Good team buffs with double assault double manuveurs, and tactics running. 5 pets running around for good dps with already really good aoe. Decent debuffs in the form of -res, -def and -recharge. Strong enough to take an alpha for just about any spawns including AVs.
The only weakness this toon has I can think of is kinda poor single target dps and no def debuff res. -
Quote:oh no not flooding the market what a terrible terrible terrible thing to happen, I could never possibly imagine.I will give the devs quite a bit more credit in their designs and plans to say it is ill thought out. They have access to info we don't. If they change it so we can spend more/faster, then they found a reason to do so. I would agree that things like possibly not flooding the market or encouraging us to use the merits as we earn them (like for random rolls, thus restocking the market).
The devs suck at economics they hate the market idk really what it is that's up their butts lately but I'm getting extremely sick of every single new feature released having a time gate on it. -
wide area web grenade, primary power for an arachnos soldier crab/bane.
- recharge 30 seconds
- duration 20.12 seconds
- radius 10 feet
web envelope, patron power pool for arachnos soldier crab/bane
- recharge 20 seconds
- duration 20.12 seconds
- radius 15 feet
Just curious why the patron power is better then a primary power? Anyone know. -
Quote:While yes I agree somewhat about it just being a talking search engine it's also so much more. I was actually paying some attention to this project on a show called daily planet and alot of programming went into this thing just to teach it common sense.Exactly. I saw this and instantly thought, "Why is Google allowed to do this exactly?" I mean, it's not Google, but functionally wouldn't it be doing something very similar? I don't see the technical marvel here.
Even so to google something pick the right answer from possibly thousands of results and do it before the top two jeopardy players ever to play the game is I gotta say impressive. -

Quote:This interests me a great deal. What if instead of a new aoe power it allowed us to say increase the target cap and or the radius for an aoe we already had. Imagine a 30 foot foot stomp that can hit 25 people at once, or a lightning rod more akin to reichsmans'.
Judgment: Will grant characters new upgradeable area of effect (AOE) powers.
This is what I wish incarnates to truly become. -
Quote:Why does design have to cater to this segment , and not the other? But .. why? Why does design always have to be from the stand point of making sure the fastest don't go too fast and hit the cap too soon? Why can't those be the people the Devs say "F- them" to, and ignore their concerns when doing their design and balancing? Is there some design rule that says you have to ensure your fastest aren't hitting your cap too quickly, rather that just letting them bounce against the cap for however long before you're ready to bring out the next bit?
I know that a segment of people sometimes run too fast through content and then agitate around until the next batch of content comes out, and then run through that too fast as well, meaning the developers never catch up. And design seems to constantly try to slow these people down, regardless of the effect these techniques might have on the rest of the population who don't rush through the content. Why does design have to cater to this segment, and not the other?
Simple really $$$$. Majority rules it sucks but there it is. I love PVP in this game(even its current incarnation blows away all other mmo pvp) and base building I know how it feals to be part of *that* group.
You just have to accept people unwilling to team/TF for any one reason be it there fault or not are minority. Just thank your lucky stars they devs are completely ignoring you and yours. PVP and base builders aren't so lucky they've been ignored for what feels like ever by now. At least they are still giving you options. -
I was looking at some different defender combos for me and a friend to duo and some of the strongest ones to mix.
emp: perma mez proterction, perma AB, perma fortitude, perma RAs though recovery aura may be redundant with perma AB, unlimted heals, abiltity to overcome nuke crashes.
Sonic: crazy res debuffs.
Seems like this combo could do some amazing things. Anyone think any other defender duo would be better performance wise? -
Quote:So melodramatic omg, dude your like the self proclaimed soloer of the forums why would this even bother you. We get it you've been playing this game since its release and your bad. Maybe stop trying to stomp on everything challenge in this game.I disagree with this, and I disagree completely. I do not miss the old days when we were forced to run TFs that conned +4 to everyone else because they were hard-set to a level we didn't have. I do not miss the old days when you'd join a low-level team that someone had cranked up to Invincible with the belief that it meant "phat XP" despite the fact that we died over and over again. And I refuse to run Tin Mage or Apex again because I do not enjoy fighting +4 enemies.
The less incentive there is for people to make things needlessly difficult in the pursuit of rewards (even if they claim it's in the pursuit of "challenge"), the happier I'll be. Making it so people will WANT to run things at +2 +3 and up means I'll just about never team again.
I love this idea more skill should reward better. Period. It already does for influence and XP lets include everything else also. Seems right to me. -
Quote:LOLOLOLOLOL. Maybe you play on a server of elitist noobs who care about that thing but I do NOT. Not once has anyone ever said anything about any of the KB I do on any of the teams I have ever been on(I play on freedom). I have no problem finding a team no matter what toon I play. The only thing I solo is tip missions. So ya alot lof teaming. I've made alot of friends in this game with alot of KB toons. And most of your prospective teammates would be less happy. Hope you enjoy soloing.
(The hero in my forum avatar? FF/Energy. I know whereof I speak.)
Seriosly like this anti KB hate is pure forum nonsense. I feel sorry for you and the server you play on and your small views of how the game works and is fun. You bunch up and aoe(real exciting) all your foes. I'll have fun and jump around and be ready for the new TFs/raids that make you use powers more smartly and make you move your avatar mid battle. -
Quote:DR effects enhancements to. It hits everything. Arcanaville knows the math pretty well. If this helps http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=249876I question this...
My understanding of DR is it affects affects buffs and debuffs as well as set bonuses and global bonuses but not enhancement values themselves. Enhancement values are already afffected by Enhancement Diversification. As the higher tier alphas are affected less and less by ED then the more bonus you will be getting. So if two thirds of the 45% damage alpha ignores ED then you will be getting a 30% bonus no matter what. If you are already close to the ED cap (?) then you'll be looking at 130% damage unaffected by DR.
Again this is based on my understanding on DR only affecting buffs, debuffs and set and global bonuses.
I am sure I will be corrected by someone who knows more than I on the subject if I am incorrect.
its like 2 below the positron post. -
Ok not the hottest idea a few like it though, maybe the devs left it out for a reason. What about this, instead of increasing mag of the KB increase the chance for the KB to happen.
So no change in mag just increase in chance for KB to happen. Just seems like more godlike my energy blast guy becomes his KB something should happen to his Kb either go off more often or make stuff go farther. So many other types of powers get to increase their secondary just seems fair.
Either or I would be a very happy energy blaster.
k thxs -
Just alittle suggestion but after looking threw all the different types of stats that the alpha provides there was one that I woulda really like to get for my energy blaster. KB, ya that's right Knockback please add it if only one of the minor bonuses to anyone of them idc which.
Thank you. -
only allowed 5 of the same bonus type.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Rule_of_5#The_Law_of_Fives
And its for all set bonus not just purples.
Theres a few exceptions. For example, a character can benefit from up to five global benefits of Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Increased Recharge Speed, which gives a global +7.5% bonus to Recharge Rate, as well as up to five set bonuses of +7.5% Recharge. That's because the first bonus is named "Luck of the Gambler: Recharge Speed" while the second is "Huge Recharge Bonus". One can find the names of the bonuses listed in the Combat Attributes window. -
don't believe every zone scrub you hear, they just hoping cause they mad. We all know nothing ever gets changed in pvp, not sharks not the placate proc nothing.
