Being a first try that's actually quite descent.
DON'T be afraid to trace stuff or use refferences for some sketches, it will help you get a good feel for how things are places and proportioned. That's what I used to do when I was learning, it does help the process greatly, better then some of those craptacular "how to draw" books with confusing steps that assume you're already an artist

Magic wand tool is your friend

I had this same problem with fireworks(happens to be an actual web design/graphic program) You have to export them as a GIF file and allow alpha transparency, then it shouldn't bring the background up. Of course there could be graphic coding issues with the site period, like flash based websites that do this to some computers

I actually have a bumblebee(new version) inspired costume. The body is hard to do but I got the head sculpt nearly perfect

My scanner has been busted for some time now and I'm looking to get a new one for a good price. it needs to be able to fit standard sized paper and have descent PPI resolution to recognize my pencil, figured this would the best place to ask as many of you would seem to have one.

what I was trying to say is that the stress in the suit works right, I see a lot of people making "tight" suits but reeeeaaly over exadgerate the folds, and it looks like a tight fitting but baggy textured leather(not sure if that makes sense) which is rather ugly imo

Nice, the head in the background is placed in a fashion that isn't really distraction, which is rare sadly, and she has that set of hawt.. um.. rifles.. yes. Damn nice work with the art and colouration

Everything is well proportioned, "stretch" effects placed in a fashion that isn't baggy but trying to be leather, and an inking with a real clean syalized look that I haven't seen in a while

this would look mind blowing if it wasn't for the yellow dulling effect with the pencil and medium(but that's me and my black/white brain :P), but I can make out the drawings fine and they look fabulous, specially the Temp and manti, real sympathetic feeling to it.

Nice. those really aren't that bad, though you need to tweak proportions and "Depth" to some note... they're hard to get used to but it's ye old "learning to walk" type thing there, once you get it you get it. (some times you get it TO much and end up doing the same thing over and over, like me and my robots DX)

((really wish my scanner worked so I could show off some newb are of my own :P))
