I was going to reply with something about a "noise bomb" or rickrolling, but then I remembered this short movie I had seen on the SciFi channel a few years ago. (This was back before they became the STD channel.)
I think we should incorporate this into our tactics. They may have numbers, equipment, and an army of telepathic thought police, but we have sockpuppets and inanity! Viva la revolucion! -
Quote:Make sure you listen carefully to each and every word.Just a reminder that we are watching your transmissions and soon justice is coming for you resistance dogs.Until then sleep with one eye open(I like a good fight)because killing you in your sleep is too easy.
Hail to the Emperor! -
Quote:Good and evil, or rather, moral and immoral are absolute. Extreme actions are to be taken out of necessity, not convenience. Also, if you pampered children of Praetoria had to deal with half the stuff the heroes of Primal Earth face on a daily basis you'd curl up in a ball and crap yourselves to death. I'd like to see the good Emperor Cole and his army of janitor-bots tangle with the Rikti. And how are you fairing with that massive Devouring Earth problem you got over there? Sure could use a volunteer army of superhumans to help with that, don't you think? My dear, evil is a point of view. To the Loyalists, the supposed heroes of Paragon City are evil. They come from a world constantly teetering on the brink of destruction, see themselves fit to judge another world (such arrogance), and then decide to overthrow the government just because they don't like it.
So who, exactly, is evil again?
Heck, your world doesn't even have a Nemesis. Pathetic. -
It's like Goldilocks and the three muhmorpugers. "The third one was neither too fast nor too slow, it was just right."

Uncoded revolutionary messages broadcast across the undrn3t would be highly conducive to creating the sympathetic populous necessary for any successful guerrilla conflict. This need not be exclusionary to coded messages intended for active resisters, which may be able to be carried on different "channels" than the rallying broadcasts. The technology for communicating on the undrn3t, though not the specific codes or encryption keys of course, should be as widely distributed as possible to facilitate this. The end goal would be the advancement of the technology in a somewhat evolutionary way by unconnected hackers and resisters acting as independent cells, using massively parallel development to stay ahead of counter-measures.
Edit: Conducive! ****! I kept trying to think of a word I wanted to use, but it didn't come to me until now. Okay, reread the above, but with the word "conducive" placed where it would sound cool. -
I find it odd that in these sort of threads boars are so often placed in the same list of unworthy foes as rats and roaches. A wild boar is not some harmless piglet. We're talking about a large, aggressive animal with a nasty pair of tusks that will eat almost anything and can charge at high speeds. Their preferred method of attack is referred to by the verb "to gore". Historically, boar hunting was done with a hefty spear fitted with a strong cross-piece to prevent the boar from running down the shaft and taking you with it.
Boars are pretty much the scrappers of the animal kingdom. -
Quote:Maybe give the GM a buff that scales with the number of players fighting it? We already have this technology in Invincibility, Against All Odds, Rise to the Challenge and the banners' rune powers.Maybe, I dunno, a unique GM that doesn't get salughtered by 20+ players? Something sturdy, long-lasting, and hulkishly strong so that it actually takes 20+ players to beat it? I mean you are given 20mins to find and kill it after all, and it only takes about one or two minutes to actually find the GM.

Quote:I would rather they just provide us with a bunch of space suit costume parts and let us figure out why the vacuum doesn't kill our characters. If they are already wearing a full environmental suit, or simply do not breath, suffocating would be kind of immersion breaking. Another costume slot and a working backpack attachment point would be nice too.Vacuum = continuous damage to characters that quickly kills "unprotected" ones. Of course, if your character is tough enough, can heal fast enough, or just has the right power(s), they can walk around in vacuum without protection. But even Superman wears a spacesuit nowadays.
While full vacuum suits would be cool, it'd be simpler to just do a "protective belt" like the the Terra Volta reactor. Unlimited supply next to each airlock, useless anywhere else. -
Hoarfrost in Ice Armor provides a layer of frost that mechanically acts as increased hp, so it is not too much of a stretch to have a force field power that works similarly.

Greetings to all Resistance members from the Subversive Element.
All of you should have already been issued your redb0x0rz or have constructed one yourself. Ever at work to aid you in our struggle against the Oppressor, Resistance scientists have developed new tools to aid you, the blueb0x, greenb0x, purpleb0x, beigeb0x, vermillionb0x, goldb0x, blackb0x, mauveb0x, orangeb0x, and periwinkleb0x. Detailed instructions on building these devices can be found on the undrn3t.
Some members have reported being haunted by the souls of the damned while using the periwinkleb0x, but nothing has been confirmed so far. Also, be careful when attaching the goldb0x to the power grid, and, for the love of Tielekku, never interface the mauveb0x and the beigeb0x together unless you want to commit a war crime. If you do want to commit a war crime they are great for that, but the PR department strongly requests we not commit any war crimes.
Subversive Element, over and out. -
Quote:Haven't you heard? The insidious plant matter already infests your pristine city.It is obvious our Psychic Friends Network needs more funding. If those Resistance hooligans would have it their way, we'd be taken over by some ancient evil masks, the insidious plant matter would infest our pristine city, or 'disappear' into some corporation's closet.

I say go empathy, then tell the tanks you'll be using Adrenalin Boost on the one you like best.

We are everywhere and nowhere. We are everyone and no one. We are that which your seers cannot divine, what your soldiers cannot contain, what your power cannot destroy. We are The Resistance.
From order, stagnation. From stagnation, death.

Quote:Interestingly enough, there already is a device called a "red box", as well as a "black box", "beige box", "clear box", "gold box", "green box", "magenta box", "orange box", "silver box", and "vermilion box", used by phone phreakers. Then he started experimenting. He created devices called redboxes (an homage to Blue boxes) that can be attached to the very POWER GRID.

With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.
The freedom you deny us we shall give to you, oppressor. Endsville is burning. -
You know what's really disappointing about Dual Pistols? No Trick Shooting debuff set announced and no power where the character throws a handful of coins into the air and ricochets bullets off them to rain down on the enemies, or bounces a single bullet between the coins, piercing each enemy multiple times (0:39).

Actually, a proper vigilante would very much approve of their tactics. That's what vigilantes do.

Germany does not have Reichsman, he is from Axis Amerika.
I don't know of any that are canon, but I do see the occasional patriotic Canadian PC. -
Quote:Well, I could be serious about it, but then I would have to be serious. Still, they do open fire on you just for walking by. It's really strange redside. I mean, I hop over to say, "Hey, I know a guy who owns a pig farm," and they're all, "No witnesses!" I was just trying to be helpful!I kinda wish this musing would at least acknowledge that when these groups see you, they attack on sight, with lethal force. I also doubt that most of the Council or 5th Column have permits for chain guns, assault rifles, rocket launchers, grenades, heavily armed robots...
Hmm, "You got a permit for that thing?" would make a pretty good taunt... -
Quote:The reason spines was not included in weapon customization is that the body spines would be customizable but the projectile spines could not. Given that they made spines customizable the way they did it is probable that the power customization system cannot take the data from the weapon costume piece to apply to the projectile spines effects.I still wish they would have just made the spines themselves a 'weapon' customization (like the axe, guns, etc) and made the poison part of the power customization. Granted, that would give up the ability to change the look of the spines for each and every power, but in my opinion, that makes more sense as well. Hopefully future customization will allow for the poison color to be customized as well because I really want my poison to be blue or black with my character.

Quote:Last night, on Justice, at ~2am EST, I was running the event in IP with my Sonic/Sonic Defender. With about 1 full team or less at a banner they dropped pretty quickly. Massive -res 0wnz -regen.On live, though, even two teams are not enough unless there's at least one rad present.
We missed the last banner in IP (purple), due somewhat to it being way down south, then went to Talos. Banners were mobbed and dropped as quickly as would be expected. -
Quote:By actively combating them you are demonstrating that that forces of law and order will not stand for their criminal acts, thus discouraging prospective recruits from joining up. The 5th Column and Council spawns soapboxing on the corners are actively promoting violence and treason and thus are not protected by the right to free speech. Also, all those guys I beat up for loitering had outstanding warrants (for loitering). There's a mission from a Skyway contact that always makes me think that; where you are sent to go beat up Lost to make joining them frightening to the homeless. Isn't that terrorism?
What's more interesting than how badly the Column are wtfpwning the Council is the lines about taking captured Council away for experimentation.
