Kinetics toons have a way of stealing aggro called Fulcrum Shift + AoE attacks. Every tank I have looses aggro to kins to some degree. I don't know if it is possible to offset the loss of aggro by perhaps using more taunt IOs or not.

The market is cross server, but I do wonder if Guardian (or any other specific server) may be having issues communicating to the market server ?

As most of you know, NCsoft stopped publishing subscriber numbers a while back. But they do still publish their sales in their quarterly earnings statements. Really, these numbers are a lot more important than subscriber numbers. After all, a game can be wildly successful with a low subscriber base, or wildly unprofitable with a high one. Ultimately, "Is this making us money?" is probably the best judge of whether a company will continue to invest in a game. -
I'm not worried much about endurance use with a fast recharging EA as well as Hibernate being around. The Eradication is slotted for +Endurance +HP and E/N def. In hindsight the ACC/Rech and Damage from Eradication could be better served as the Obliteration Quad and the multistrike dam/end/rech.
I did put some effort into adding some psionic def/res due to the person that requested the build mentioning they like to do rikti raids and various TFs. Psi and toxic are the only real holes, and thus I tried to patch at least Psi up a little. -

I'd grab what I just picked up for my rig ( which has the same specs OP listed aside from a 650 W PS). the Geforce GTX 260 896 RAM. It's shown on fatherXmas's chart he linked to and it is slightly above all the cards listed thus far.

I'm not much of a storage hog - I'm doing fine on an 80 gig HD with like 15 gigs left after 5 years of throwing stuff on it.

well my specs so far are: an i5 eg750 2.66 ghz with 4 gigs of ram, a gigabyte geforce 260 gtx with 896 mb ram, 650 watt power supply. I have yet to pick up a HD setup but the plan is to use 2 HDs at some size 250-500 gb each one as a boot drive one one as a data drive.
I was wondering if I should use readyBoost or upgrade to 8 gigs of ram, but I figured RB would be cheaper by far. -
I'm thinking of picking up a flash drive (like 16-32 gb in size) to use readyBoost - but I was wondering if it actually helps at all for gaming ?

I'm planning to pick up two HDs (not sure which size to get yet) but I'm not sure how to best utilize them. I plan to run windows on one and everything else on the other. Is that a good plan or should I be putting my games on the OS HD too ?

I have a separate tab for healing received and granted and it reports foes gaining endurance and health when I use DR.

I don't know I went ahead and put it in DR and it is healing and granting endurance to foes - I don't see any procs landing on me.
I guess I'll need to respec and move it to health. -
Well I mean, does it fire off on me or on the foes I hit with DR ?

any tank will get a good amount out of the regen uniques due to having higher HP than other ATs. +regen is best used on toons that have lots of defense or resistance, because it compliments their default abilities.

If you can figure out what IP is causing it you can use HOSTS file to direct it to 127.0.0.1 instead. You could also look up NoScript if you are using firefox.

That has been fixed according to Castle. The only thing standing in the way of a fly speed buff is paranoia.

The devs are scared everyone would pick fly over other powers if fly were reasonably fast.
They fail to take into account the fact that travel sets have 4 powers in them and that players might choose a travel pool for other powers instead of just the travel power.
Fly could easily be moved up to 70-75 mph cap ( via cap raise and higher base value) without the world ending. Never happen though.
*edit* I could sympathize with the "balance" line of doublespeak if this game had any real danger in traveling around, but that really isn't a huge issue. Flying out of range of melee is helpful but it isn't the end all be all of overpoweredness. -
We've had inventions for a long while now, but the devs have failed to add an new craftable powers. It's pretty hard to imagine no one in the game world is intelligent enough to craft weapons and other such powers.
So here's to more craftable temp powers! -
When Issue 9 came out and introduced the market, I had 8 million influence. Nowadays I have something like 10-12 billion in liquid assets and probably around 6-8 billion worth of IOs on my toons.
I can make influence very easily by buying some recipes and salvage and then selling the crafted IO for 2x-10x what I paid to make it.
There is no reason you can't do the same. Even an hour a week spent focused on using the market can earn you exponentially more than what you may be making now through regular play. -
I'd prefer to see a 11% resistance to F/C/E/N/T added to Invincibility rather than replace the defense. Each foe in range of Invincibility would also give -1% resistance to F/C/E/N/T.
Max end performance would not change, but when facing fewer foes, Invul would be a bit stronger against the non s/l/psi damage types. The extra resistance would be great against the +3 or +4 bosses you get on teams, and it would help against eb/avs prior to level 32 and unstoppable. -
Energy Melee should be re-concepted based on a mechanical theme of using your own life to boost the effects of powers. There is no real reason to limit such a useful mechanic to one power.
I'd add the effect to Stun and Total Focus. Stun would be changed to a targeted pbaoe, similar to how Thunderstrike behaves. At level 50 on a tank Stun would deal 30 damage to the targeted foe, and have a 75% chance to deal 30 damage to all foes within 10 ft of the targeted foe (including that foe). It would deal a mag 3 stun to the targeted foe and a 75% chance for mag 1 stun to all foes within 10 ft(including targeted foe). Stun would also deal 15% of your hp in damage to you and also -75% regen for 10 seconds. Recharge and endurance cost should be similar to Fault.
Total Focus would be changed to a 2.33s animation and reduced in endurance cost to 11.86 and deal 5% of your hp in damage to you. Damage dealt would be the same. -
This is what I'm going to build to on my electric/electric tank : 31% melee, 30% aoe and 19% ranged defense with around 2500 hp (mostly via accolades).
