Aside from the court of the blood countess which welcomes starting roleplayers as we keep it casual and are not too strikt in rules yet... I am also greatly enjoying the International Hero Idols (who may need more people soon), The Cadre (and the playable NPC's that go with it), The Militia (if my cat hero ever gets in... hmm... makes it tasty if you show you're face then), R.A.P.I.E.R. (just starting up). Some are even groups that are not registered and will never be like the League of Righteous Destroyers. But then again you wouldn't expect the overlords forming a secret illuminaty to register I hope.

For most of these there are forum rp sesions on this forum you can read through. They make a real nice paperback novell.

And with that she turned into a mist that oozed its way out of the cabin... just to reform as a bat flying to wards the coast. Coming to the docks she saw one of the guards Hatesman had placed there.

Elizabeth landed behind some crates and took her seductive shape again. The guard eyed her up but was unable to scream. Slowly she kissed him... then drank some of his blood. She sliced her wrist open en placed it upon the man's mouth. "Drink and live forever... handsome man. Kill all you're colleagues when you find you're way back on that boat."

Elizabeth drained a few liters more and the man dropped down dead. But he had tasted her blood and would not remain lifeless for long. Again she took to the skies... and it was almost like a laughter came from the huge bat heading for Villa Palm.

ok... This discussion already has been done a long time ago. The rule book that came with COX already thought about that.

Mutant - Born with powers... But not the same as the rest of its species.

Science - Derived from a scientific source... often a science accident. radio activity, cosmic rays etc.

Magic - Source of power is manipulation of mystical forces by incantation or as channeller. Also those who got their powers from a mystic source like a wand or a stone.

Natural - No special powers at all for their species except for those abilities that can be trained. Like Batman... But as Superman is a Kryptonian and his powers are normal for the race, he is a natural too.

Technological - This include the cyborgs, robots, armor (like Iron Man). It can be seen as tech enhanced natural.

The most at the moment...?

At the sound of the guns Elizabeth's features changed. Her fangs became larger... her eyes blood-red... her nails talons... Like an cornered animal her mind was already forming plans to escape... to kill the whole room... or at least to kill the Hatesman.

Alex... the Siberian Sentry was hovering near the ceiling of the hall. He looked at the effectiveness of the weapons used. Especially the cryotech bullets made him smile. He was wearing a Cryoemitting Armor for G**s' sake.

Magma blast came close to him but cooled down before hitting him. The resulting impact of the stone was absorbed by the armor itself. He turned up the volume of his audio... Western Classic rock filled him with adrenaline. This music was the greatest thing that came from the west in the Russian's opinion.

He powered up the cryotech and blasted the creature who was closest. It froze solid on impact of the beam. Sentry went into a dive and hit the frozen creature full force... scattering it in pieces.

"Relaxing training is this, da?!", he yelled out over the music.

Would mean using power slots you other wise would use for pets to upp the damage out put. Leadership (assault and tactics... vengeance), Jump (combatjump) is recommended.. Speed (hasten), and fitness (health + stamina).

You're secondary is mostly buff or debuff. I would recommend dark miasma... as it gives a heal and some very good debuffs.. but pick any. And don't forget the patron shield at lvl 41.

Elizabeth contemplated her options for a second... She was able to steer a yet untapped faction of the islands populous. What to do with it...

"Make them fighting for Buku's idealistic cause for now. Make sure that within their ranks slowly their opinion of me rises to a popularity that outranks Buku."

Besides the bodygaurd option is not so easy to get them into. Someone had to explain to me what macro I had to use to activate those (and i think i lost that piece of paper since). Would be much easier if there was a button to make them do this since the cease to attack button is not the same thing.

I use the follow button for this.. I edited to follow defensive...

An mm can have his pets tank... And once in a while I tend to play as an mm is supposed to be...

mm corruptor/defender
- pets go in, and you are close by. Use defensive if you need. Making use of youre inherent ability... buffing you're pets or debuffing the enemy

mm tanker
- You are far far behind (like a real general). Often invisible or under the protection from a shield or hover high up. And you send pets in wave after wave. The pets take all aggro and none will come to you as youre too far away or not visible to get any.

mm dominator
- Use holds from you're powersets often and you're pets devided over several groups. Keeping those enemies busy and under aggro long enough for the team to wipe them out.

So the group gets ahead.. send you re pets ahead too.

A good combo of keys can help make the setup faster...

I have placed first upgrade on 2nd bar - place 1 and second upgrade on 3rd bar - place 1. So I select the pet on the menu... press Alt+1... followed by Ctrl+1. If you tweak the recharge on the powers you should be able to select... upgrade... upgrade... select... upgrade... upgrade... select etc.

Will not take that long this way. And ofcourse if you're in really dire need of time send in the seconds first.. then thrown in lowest unbuffed.. and highest with buffing as by then you have the time for that upgrade. You need to get used to setup on the run anyway, as there will be maps with enemies directly at the door in the mission. An mm's nightmare but possible to get through.

Also.. have you ever fought a super speeder..? Like Synapse.

If I wasnt able to slow or hold him... defeating him in nearly impossible.

In the Villa of general Buku Eliza Thabyro was asleep in the huge bed in the bedchamber on the 1st floor. Rain fell on the balcony and the moonlight was shimmering through the wet glass of the windows. Buku was fast asleep... obviously the wine of last nights cocktail party had done its effect in full.

"I have news."

Elizabeth opened her eyes in a shock and for a moment her pupils returned to the blood red so visible in the visage of countess Elizabeth Bathory. She rose from the bed and covered her naked body with a light semi-transparent chemise.

"Speak...", She thought loudly.

Elizabeth nodded barely visible in reply, and took another sip of her drink.

I recently found some organised RP on Defiant.. Liz was invited to be an informant on vampires.. so I created her on defiant to do some dimension hopping.

It really is there. But it is so much harder to find.

Ha.. Finally a plausible (and probably) correct solution to this problem. Will try that asap.

I will be bringing Siberian Sentry... Although Fridays will be a hassle every time again. As it is the Court of the Blood Countess gathering then too. The 20th I will just make time

But...

On a different machine. On my laptop that is surprisingly running Vista 32 with an NVIDIA gfx card. I noticed this for the first time on this system after a Vista update had run.

Back again to the NVIDIA driver vs. Vista vs. certain hardware. I know it is almost impossible to fix something that is not easy reproducable. There is some driver / gfx probs on a lot of machines/configurations. The evidence is there.

The forums are showing a lot of different people with the same crashes. And the NVIDIA forum also has some threads running on this. So the problem is there... and it is sirious.

Can there be looked towards finding the problem?!

If enough support look into this maybe we can at least point it out and make it known as a 'known error'. For now people are in the dark but can't game propably.
