Usually I go in stealthed (shadowfall + Celerity stealth IO) and summon the zombies where I need them. Letting them follow me all the way always gets a number killed.
Close to me I can still tank with them as I have heals to spare between me and my pets and IO sets. -
Incredible annoying bug yes. I have bugged it a lot of times.. and have done several lambda runs starting without my pets following me :S

Interesse is faltering in the islands.... Ultimatly ruling a small country might have ended up as becoming bored out of our skulls.
Romanov ended up being back into his tower in Paragon a lot again... He recently was contacted by Bathory to influence the media in order for her to go back into the shadows again. Erebus joined Bathory is reshaping her shadow power base in the Rogue Islands after a certain Nighthunters fiasco that gave her way too much publicity.
Hatesman stepped out before we took the Island over. What he does now is unsure to me.
Can someone fill out the rest of the lost information? -
Quote:I am not saying that every villain would side with him... just that there are enough. Cole accepted his personal guards being meta's... He can just as well accept more meta's in the same rank. The big thing is that Cole is not going to let any Primal metas live after he conquers Primal Earth. And I know that most of my villains wouldn't be happy living under Cole. Not enough profit when the seers are watching everyone.
My main would side just long enough to find a way to get her own goals realised. Following the winner is often the easiest way to the top. That also means if it looks likes Cole is losing she fights on the hero side again ofcourse. To her there is only one good side.. her own! She is about power. Profit is for mortal flesh. She long left that desire behind her. -
Quote:And that also makes every player who is a villain just as untouchable as the heroes are... Consider Arachnos to be unbeatable too. As comics always showed... the hero is only as interesting as his villain. Without an antagonist the hero often ends up boring. If you would have GG on Union and you would roleplay you would find me making a mess of your life just for the fun of it :PYou don't always lose - but you do if you get involved in any big world-threatening events - Heroes will always save the world, and Villains will never conquer it - which means that Tyrant and the loyalists will never win, so any player that sided with them would be an automatic loser.
Villains have to have low-level successes - they can't have any major success that would affect the game world.
Tyrant can mass-murder and brain-wash and torture and oppress people in Praetoria, and villains can help him - but his bigger plans to spread mass-murder, brain-washing, torture and oppression to the wider game world will fail, because the good side can't lose - Tyrant's role, just like any other supervillain, is to be a failure anytime he tries to do anything that will affect the wider game world. -
Quote:The moment they created the ability for players to be villains was the moment villains got the specific non-comic tread of being able to win. We are a big part of the community and automatically let us lose is simply stated.. stupid!I never trust Villains that far
But that means they'd be failures and losers - Tyrant and his loyalists have to be defeated for us to make the Well switch its support - so anyone who sided with Tyrant would be an automatic failure, as Tyrant is destined to lose, so the story can move onto the next stage. -
-
Quote:That shouldn't stop me from bludgeon your hero the moment I have half the chance if your back is turned against me trusting me.I think it's totally ok - the Rikti and Tyrant would both wipe out Heroes and Villains if they won - both invasions are a fight for survival for everyone on Primal Earth - and it doesn't matter if your goal in life is to protect the world or conquer it - these forces coming from other dimensions are trying to make sure that first, the world you want to protect/conquer will belong to them, and second, that you're not around to protect/conquer it.
What meant here is that some heroes might want some factions to win. And that might be another faction then the devs force the villains into. Co-op always will give this problem. I am sure there are enough loyalist villains who would gladly fight on the side of the Praetorians against you!
But at this time more storylines would help... the storylines are there... if you must... let them be connected to the praetorian invasion then. What are the COT doing about it. Is Vhazilok happy with Tyrant? With the dimensional borders weakened... will the Rikti draw their own plan and Rularuu sees another chance to destroy all life on Primal Earth? -
Quote:Totally agree on this idea..Interesting you should mention this because I think that is another one of those bugs that could actually be turned into a cool game mechanic.
For example, a player runs through the story arc of Dark Astoria and successfully completes the final mission - what happens? The fog and gloom is removed from Dark Astoria and the sun shines once again. I think it would be a great way for a player to feel heroic and like they actually changed something in game. Of course, this all resets back to the fog so others can complete it as well but I think the effect would still be there. Much like Recluses' Victory and how the zone changes. I think they missed the boat with not implementing more of that mechanic throughout the game.
Remidi beat me to the punch
New zones - ok.. but villains first
Revamp old zones - YES! pls... -
RP should be all around the place... not stuck to one zone. Like mentioned before.. the Midnighters club... the Monkey Bar?... etc. There is no reason to always gather in Pocket D for RP unless you are looking for people who frequent the bar or for contacts you never met before.
I know my main is rather in her base or at the Midnighters Club then at the bar... even though she likes to party once in a while.
I dont see Pocket D as a RP only zone. It is a zone that was the original co-op zone. And therefore used for all co-op arcs and events. That is why Pocket D was build. And the RP is an extra.
Anyway... Live and endure each other. It is not as hard as you think to play this game both ways and still not hate the other person. Shut off broadcast and if you are rp-ing at the bar and you have lag... blame the alcohol. -
Side note!
This is an MMO! Therefore teaming in encouraged and solo discouraged. There is no other way to put it. For me it is logical. -
Quote:I have done and tested this... 18 threads on a week tf's?! WTF!My red flag alarm dinged on this. Something is wrong with the assumptions, because there's no way a player that runs 15 to 20 task forces over a week ends up with 18 shards. I would expect such a person to end up with about 80-150 shards, and thus (eventually) about the same number of threads. Which makes the trial content - counting all of the extra drops besides direct threads - about fifteen times faster than task force content on average.
The drop rate for threads cannot be five times higher than shards. I would be more inclined to believe its the reverse.
Also, higher task forces drop components that can be broken down into shards. 15-20 runs should earn at least 15-20 of those, which would be more than 18 shards right there.
Factoring everything in, my ballpark estimate is that trials might be earning ten times the equivalent thread count as task forces drop from thread/shard conversions, not a hundred (and certainly not a thousand like some people have been suggesting).
One more thing: counting optimally for the trial drops adds an additional skew. I've been getting the majority of my reward tables as uncommons, not commons. If uncommon really is more likely than common on successful runs, which is possible, the uncommons are actually *hurting* earnings, because if you need commons you cannot count uncommons as their *creation* value, but rather their *breakdown* value. And every uncommon is actually only worth 9 threads on average when broken down - less than half of one common.
I do one +1 ITF.... if it is not the Weekly tf it gives me a max of 10 shards. once every 20 hours I can convert those to 10 threads. This means I can have 7 x 20 hours = 70 threads in a week. Now.. the ITF last week was the Weekly TF. And as such gave me a Notice I couldnt use anymore. Breaking the Notice down gave me a good bunch of Shards I could convert to 10 other threads. I end up on 80 Threads doing ITF alone!
This I had done last week aside of the odd Trial. The inf needed to do these conversions drop also during the ITF. So you dont need todo anything else. -
Quote:Amen! This is what I intended to say...Good points.
And people are STILL talking about blindly going ONLY Trials or NEVER trials. Mix things up people! Do trials when the opportunity presents itself, but not overboard. Do shard runs likewise. Neither burns you out then, and neither makes you feel abused.
I do old tf's still... will always do the Weekly tf with my SG. And occassionally join a trial. -
Quote:Your problem is server community.... get yourself to check another community and into the community important global channels. End of teh summer you are welcome on UNION.I have made my way through alot of this and agree the reason I stepped away from the game is the inability to get in TF that make it to the end. I logged in waited 4 hours for ITF to even start to form. After another hour of recruiting we'd head out a man or 2 short make it through the 1st couple missions until one or 2 players would time out from no longer moving leaving the 3 of us to wonder how we are ever going to pull apart the nexus.
I always hated posters that stated how much easier it is to find teams on this game or that game. How the search engine over here works compared to CoX.
For 6 years I lived and bleed CoX and enjoyed so much of it. Then I realized that if you stay a loyal customer meant more to them then me have being a loyal customer did. I applaud the devs efforts to keep blowing new life into such a great game. I have wanted 50+ content ever since I leveled my 1st toon to 50 and just hated "retiring" him.
Incarnate oh hell yeah alpha slots, branching I feel that finally the game has enough content to actually draw back alot of guys that left. I get into a TF within the first 10 minutes of trying. Players doing TF again sweet 1st ten minutes 4 players drop same old end game.
Looking for an active list of players not fillers I have a couple months left on my subscription and it is really a trial account at this point. The "price" of loyality has just become offensive. Stay through April get into beta stay through get this glowie under you. Whatever happened to hey thanks for being here this long.
Sorry -
Quote:Have you done the WTF this week? You know... the ITF everyone loves. But unless I am doing these trials I am not making any effective progress on my characters.
If I am not making any progress why log in?
A notice can be broken down in shards which can give threads.. an ITF gives 10 shards easily.. Once every 20 hours you can convert 10 shards to 10 Threads. The inf you get will pay for conversions. and you can convert the threads to Incarnate XP.
All stuff you do can build up your incarnate. It will be slower sometimes sure... But it will be more fun.
The ITF is like mass masacre with incarnate powers for instance. Even the new low level tf's drops incarnate shards!
There is NO reason to not play the other content. Setting up any tf on UNION still gets enough people interested to do them with full teams. So that should be possible on almost any server. -
Almost impossible task... I think I go for my ice/energy blaster ...
The Siberian Sentry -
Agreeying on this. It seems the best solution. 75% crash instead of 100%

Perfect guide.. now lets do it! Too bad I am not online before next sunday

Pet AI fix.. yes..
Still doing these trials with my Necro/Dark... Not having the biggest problems although I die with the best of them still.
Now I have some advantages compaired to some other pets as Zombies have a decent ressistance and Dark carries an (now enhanced) AoE heal. The AI makes all pets go into melee... which is good for zombies (but less so for most other mm's). Zombies also have a very quick resummoning. And the end problems that come with the resummoning I repaired by using the Cardiac Alpha... Ofcourse that is a diaster with the Alpha being bugged during the trials.
All over I noticed the dying of my pets ofcourse... Sometimes I only use them as meat shields and not even upgrade them. That saves a lot of end on the long run. Especially with Marauder. If they are still standing and fighting after 30-60 sec I hit them with the upgrade. If they are completely useless I go and do debuffing. Although that only works if I dont have aggro.
Pet-streaming (stand safe distance resummon>send>resummon) sometimes work. But not if the enemies are too strong.
I place a lot of hope in Destiny's Barrier. Even if I dont have it yet. And the level shifts will make a HUGE difference in the trials. Don't forget that the mm's benefit a LOT from the Interface power. You don't see the effects in anyway but they do devestating more damage. As mm's have it harder only in the AoE heavy trials I can understand that with progress in powers as Incarnate the survivabilty will go up immensly.
It would just be nice if the AI was better ...
- Zombies didn't have maggots for brains
- Ninja's wheren't novices
- Robots didn't run an ancient Microsoft OS
- Mercs wheren't rookies
etc -
As in all harder challenges.. adapt!
Regen to high = Do more damage then he regens or Debuff his regen! -
Quote:I take it you've never taken an MM on a Lambda run then, to experience just how frustrating it is?
I play an mm and have done the Lamda. Dying is often... but resummoning is easy. Just dump the new pets directly next to marauder. Pets are meat shields.. expendable.. in your case scrap metal. I fight often with non upgraded pets because of speed too.
I think that is less easy for a slow summoning and ranged based set as robots though
What about a triage first.. resummon next.. attack. And make sure you survive?
Again robot problem... upgrade spells take longer compaired to mid action upgrade with zombies -
Necro/Dark mm here...
AV + big mob
> Fearsome Stare > Howling Twilight > Tar Patch > Incoming Zombs
> Shoot with all you have and you end up soloying the solo AV for the last 1/3 of his HP
I slotted SO Howling Twilight with 3 recharge and 3 stunn... Now it has Absolute Amazements. And worth it! The ressurection of players is just an side-effect to me. 30 seconds autohit stunn on all minions is lethal when a zombie army runs in for the kill!
-
At the moment I am on +2/x8 but I am sure I can manage higher. There is an even better chance when the incarnate levels unlock. As those will fill in holes in the mm build very well.
I am a Necro/Dark -
New Batman.. AGAIN!
New Superman.. AGAIN!
Marvel is making movies about less used to never used characters. You would almost think DC doesnt have other characters then Superman and Batman. There are so many good characters there they could make a cool unique movie every year... instead they go for rehashing old icons for fast money.
Still waiting for a good Wonder Woman movie... a Demon Etrigan... Maybe a Green Arrow... A Fables... etc. At least a Green Lantern is made. -
If your fast you can take
