Actually, it was because with perma-hasten you could use it every fight ... so solo with zero risk (since you could single target hold the one it might miss).

Of course, once they introduced ED, they immediately rolled back this change and ... my bad, they never did.

Containment is an incredible trade off (especially if you team with one or more controllers as you can set it up for each other) but still makes the set more about out and out damage than control, which was what attracted me to the AT in the first place.

Are you really going to need end redux in all those places as well as stamina AND transference AND power sink?

I'm stuck (having more fun with a storm/psi more like) just below 40 on my ice/kin at the mo and even in SC don't find endurance that much of an issue.

You might want to slap a few Acc in siphon power, although the only place you might be able to lose them from is speed boost.

How about replacing the end redux in siphon speed with a run speed?

From memory, corruptor BASE damage is 75% of blaster damage (in the same way that the secondary is 75% of defender effectiveness) and the CAP is (I think) 400% vs blaster 500% ... although even with fulcrum shift and siphon power you can't hit it on your own (I don't think) ... unless taking ghost widows PPP as well would do it (I don't know if it would or not, just a thought).

I died, but only because I saw an incoming ambush and charged in, forgetting I wasn't playing my spines/regen

Between kinetics and warshade powers (I think they were the cause), that AV was debuffed to the floor ... never seen him drop so fast (very offensive team backed by empath + kinetics ftw).

Well, if the mobs don't have any AoEs ... pretty sensible.
If they do ... that's where the primary would come in.

This is where I get a bit hazy as I don't know all the numbers, but triple SO that up to ~32. I was thinking about duoing with a friendly spines/regen.

Assume Sonic Dispersion stacks?
Plus Tough plus Resilience? Both triple slotted.

I know it isn't a lot but when you factor it all in there's a fair amount of resistance in there.

Plus disruption field for extra damage...

I actually posted a small paragraph on this in one of my troller guides (don't bother looking, it wasn't that much)...

Basically you both provide crowd control. If you're feeling useless then you're either teamed with a good tank (unlikely, but my congratulations if that is the case) or there's not enough people on team to warrant the amount of crowd control you both provide - in which case either up the difficulty or add extra damage dealers (to increase to spawn size and do something useful with all that control you are supplying).

I'd take it as a sign you were doing something right.

When I was thinking of a 'troller to play I thought about what would go well with some of my other alts ...

for my Spines/Regen I thought Earth/Sonic would be great, as it would have lots of hard control and +RES ... it would mean instant god mode for a /regen scrapper though...

then I realised other than teaming, it would be pretty hard going. I also realised I had never seen this combination. I then FURTHER realised I don't think I've EVER seen a /sonic troller. Does anyone have one? Is it any good when teamed with scrappers or is it just a painful secondary that doesn't seem to have a lot of synergy with any of the primaries?

I could care less what people say to/about me (I have alts in Freaks/LoUD so that much is obvious) but I have to say even if I did care I can't remember an occasion where something like this happened ... and I've occasionally PvPed on Union, a little bit on defiant (only one alt high enough) and over in the US...

so is it ...

a timing thing (I work so play outside those 9-5 hours where the population has a lower average age)?

a defiant thing?

a 'professional victim' thing? i.e., nobody responds on the times I play so nobody bothers?

or they know all my alts and leave the zone in fear? (my money is on this, but I am a little delusional about my PvP 'ability' (for want of a better term))

Both are great, neither is particularly 'newcomer friendly'.
Rad works slightly better than kin in connection with Ill, is better at low levels (not everybody gets up to 35+, which is where /kin gets totally amazing). Both have minor issues but both are fun to play... I have one of each and I prefer my /Rad, but I solo quite a lot. If I was to team regularly I think /kin would get it.

Apart from those that studied with Musashi (historical debate and counterclaims of 'myth' in 5-4-3..), obviously. Although to be fair, that was more of a training exercise than in expectation of actual use. As a left-hander with 4 katanas in the house (I only have one Broad Sword, a legacy from my dear departed grandmother), I often found the lack of any left handed training or forms quite annoying (although understandable). But 'no swordsman ever'? Hardly.

EDIT:- that being said, I DID delete my Kat/Regen as the animation just looked wrong to me.

I'd seriously consider getting a whale song CD and listening to it for 3 hours straight first. If you don't develop a nervous twitch, I'd say 'go for it'.

Sonic/Kin has one of the most awesome combos available to it (Sleep + Fulcrum Shift + Nuke) but it takes a while to get there...

oh and plenty of melee types (PvP ) will resist disorient - the -RES is very nice and I can only imagine what sort of damage you eventually put out by combining that with Kinetics.

EDIT:- just did a mish with a Mu pet in it and realised something.

Add "AI likely to get pet in melee range for Trans/Trans/Fulcrum" as a BIG deciding factor as to which one to pick.

((I have a fire/dev with TD + Tactics and spend most of my PvP time hunting stalkers down. I tend to run away if I don't get them in 2 shots as well ... I prefer to think of it as "playing to my strengths"))
