  1. I know I'm not an expert at builds and definitely not at PvP, but I know I won't be needing SJ when I primarily am playing in a cage.
    I'm trying to get my regen/max hp as high as possible, any suggestions in slotting? I am almost sure this is the set of powers I'm going for, I've seen them in action. I just need to get the slotting right.

    I don't want to do RV and I don't want to roll an elec/ss.
    I don't see much need for SJ in the arena, and I don't see much need for escaping powers either. I mostly just want to do 1v1 or small group fighting.
  4. I'll preface with saying I don't know much about PvP other than what I have learned from my friends and being in PvP zones with characters I'd never take back. I am wanting to branch out, and give it a whirl. I mostly prefer arena duels with a hint of RV.
    I am open to any suggestions and criticism.

    I also noticed there aren't as many costume contests on Justice, but that is completely expected. As stated, if there isn't a grand prize (and by grand I mean in the hundreds of millions) not many players will come.

  7. I hate having a pop up for accept/decline Fortune. I can be in the middle of battle when it happens. I'd rather the buff be removed from game if people can't handle a minor graphic piece and sound effect for it. I would think a prompt would be worse... actually, to many, it IS.

    At least make it where I don't have to accept/decline 50 fortunes when I am already buffed with one. Or make it where we can turn the prompt on or off.

  9. Even once my update connected, it took a good 40 minutes to actually download the patch, although it was displayed as requiring only 20. And, to top it off, I am in a "waiting line" where there are 129 players trying to enter, and am number 56 currently. I have waited for over an hour.
  10. Seeing how DP was taken from a MM set, I am speculating that a whip set will be introduced. It only makes sense to me. Plus, I can only hope that it will, because I love using it.

    A) They have marvelous reception, and once they attack, the whole mob can see you.
    B) For the reason stated, their high defense to melee and range.
    C) They look like a floating tripod ready to snap a picture of me...

    I agree with Manoa, JFA and Justice United are both great channels and will be very informative. Both have great communities, which sure, are often the same people, but not everyone posts things in both channels.
  14. Thanks guys! I will now take conserve power... but I now wonder if I need the Fighting pool to reach 45%? I would like to avoid taking it... I heard somewhere that SR doesn't need Weave, it needs Heal Self.
  15. I want to maximize my damage so I can take out mobs as swiftly as possible...
    I am thinking of picking the Fire Mastery set for the AoE fire attacks and Melt Armor. Is this unwise? I am not sure how end-heavy claws and SR can be. Will stamina alone (slotted with Performance shifter +end proc and two endurance mod IOs) be enough to keep my endurance up?

    I would just like to say that my first Hami raid was very fascinating; thank-you for leading us so well.
    I think of a non-retreat run of being more exciting and therefore just what I am looking for in a raid!
  18. So, this is my 2nd scrapper toon... I think the character has great potential. Between the extra recharge bonus from Elec, and the DoT from both Quills and Lightning Field, it should be a nice build.

    I am wondering if the damage is good, and also if the endurance is a problem? I currently am having trouble with endurance on the toon, but I haven't reached stamina yet. I know I get an end drain later down the line... does it work effectively at keeping the end in check?
  19. Well, playing the trail account should be a show-all. If you didn't enjoy the play, the game isn't for you. If you enjoyed, and want to experience more, you buy the game.
  20. I doubt any controller will do well in a PvP setting, a Fire/Kin I know with experience doesn't NOT do well...
    But my friend's Kin/Arrow Defender was doing pretty good. He used all of his Endurance and Hit point sucking powers until they were dry, then used his arrows to finish 'em off!
  21. Buying them as a pack would be very nice... I'd then have a Cape to start out with other than the Valkyrie one.

    Alright, the problem with that is... I am a Dual Blader, and have to select all the powers for my chains to work. I only have SO many power options between getting all of those and my Regen powers.

    I currently have:
    Power Slice, Ablating Strike, Typhoon's Edge, Blinding Feint, Vengeful Slice, Sweeping Strike, and One Thousand Cuts for DB. I have every power available for Regeneration.

    I have Swift, Health, and Stamina; Kick, Tough, and Weave; Hasten; and Caltrops.

    NOTE!: During the respec, I plan to get SS instead of Caltrops.

    So, is there anything I should replace?
  25. I am new to the scrapper ordeal. I have a level 50 Dual Blades/Regen scrapper, and am wondering about my pool choice...
    If I were to respec, should I replace the Fighting set (I now have Kick, Tough, and Weave) with Aid Other and Aid Self?

    I currently have the Weapon Mastery power, Caltrops. I would get Aid Self and Aid other along with Kick and Tough at the cost of Caltrops and Weave. Is this a GOOD trade off, or should I keep my build as it is now?

    I primarily am focused at farming, but PvP every now and then.
