Claws/SR - Epic Pool?
Quote:
I don't know about Claws, but that's not enough for my Katana/SR. It wasn't until IOs came out and I was able to slot the +Recovery uniques in Health that I was able to rush from one group to the next. You're running 3 toggles minimum, more if you take the Fighting Pool or Leadership or Concealment and/or want to run with a travel power turned on.
Will stamina alone (slotted with Performance shifter +end proc and two endurance mod IOs) be enough to keep my endurance up?

If memory serves, the Claws set does have lower endurance requirements than any other melee set, though... but the powers also recharge more quickly than the standard, so you'll be firing them off a lot more often.
Can you do it? Sure, it's definitely feasible, if you're willing to slot for enough End Redux in your attacks (and probably 1½ Lv 50 enhancements worth in your toggles to boot). But it's going to be... uncomfortable as you level up.
You might want to include Elude in your levelling build for the +Recovery it offers, then respec out of it if you don't want it as you approach 50 and get better enhancements. APP attacks tend to have a higher endurance cost than standard powersets.

SR is average as far as endurance consumption goes (3 toggles and a click), however people like to pair it with the Fighting pool and other expensive toggles which makes it very end-heavy. Fireball costs 19 end to fire, which will make things worse.
Take body, in claws you already have good AoE and don't take Melt Armor, it royally sucks

Truth. Melt armor has tiny numbers and short duration. While it'd be possible to to make blaze mastery work you could just as easy use body mastery for cheaper and use energy torrent which isn't amazing but it isn't the suckfest that's torrent from dark mastery. So really, it comes down to money vs numbers. Are you willing to invest the big bucks to make blaze work or do you just want the cheaper easier route that's also good.

Thanks guys! I will now take conserve power... but I now wonder if I need the Fighting pool to reach 45%? I would like to avoid taking it... I heard somewhere that SR doesn't need Weave, it needs Heal Self.

No you don't need weave to reach 45% but it does make your build more flexible. Having Heal Self is nice to have just incase.

I want to maximize my damage so I can take out mobs as swiftly as possible...
I am thinking of picking the Fire Mastery set for the AoE fire attacks and Melt Armor. Is this unwise? I am not sure how end-heavy claws and SR can be. Will stamina alone (slotted with Performance shifter +end proc and two endurance mod IOs) be enough to keep my endurance up?
Thanks,
