I have quite a few toons made with some (what I consider) cool concepts and powerset combos but I have been restricted to only playing a couple.
It started with badging and IO's, and has been made worse by the Incarnate stuff. I only have limited time to play so in order to work towards getting all IO's for those couple builds, trying to get as many badges as I can on my badger and keep up withe the incarnate arcs I tend to log in on those two toons find something that fills those compulsions and find that my other toons have fallen by the way side.
Once I get my secondary toon IO'd out i may switch to IO'ing one of my other 50's or try leveling a lowbie but due to time constraints i think I will always only have my main and one other on the go at any given time. -
Got in on the second run of this tonight as The Hive was full when I finished up on a speedy LGTF.
I haven't done one of these in years, since the change to the format but as how this was alot of fun and well organized I hope I can make it more often. Props to the raid leaders even it was abit of a wait due to dc'ing issues.
Just wanted to pass on my admiration to how smooth the run was from from a long time absentee. -
Wasn't the OP suggesting not necessarily a merge but the opening up of all servers to all players?
This wouldn't cause there to be a need to have some players give up/change their names as they would already have them on the servers that they play on.... just like someone switching main serves from Victory to Virtue for example.
I think server merging is a separate issue but an "experiment" like the OP's suggestion could pave the way for a server merge in the future. -
Quote:Wasn't terrified, well I was at some points on the tf I was, but not at these points. I had the little held notification up but I believe it happened to me when sleeping a couple times to. It definitely wasn't end either. Since I slotted my second tier Cardiac Boost I haven't been out of end and that would have been so out of the norm I would have noticed.I know this is a dumb question, but were you terrified and/or without endurance?
You still need to have end to be able to attack and particularly with the LGTF (and that dirty filthy wh*re, Famine) it's possible you were mezzed but also low or out of end. Also I've noticed defiance doesn't always break through terror even though it is technically a mezz.
Just a thought.
I ran another LGTF and had the same issue later on in the day. I guess all I can think of is that maybe the lag was bad enough that the although my icon was recharged the power was lagging behind. It was a couple of fast paced teams so the lag could be the culprit.
I may try running some Tip mish's tonight after the Mrs's heads to bed and see if it shows up again while solo.
Turns out tray lag from cutscenes is fairly common, as I learned from some more experienced players. So it was lag in a senseI guess I failed to notice it before as I haven't run that many TF's in a week since..... well, forever.

Ran a couple LGTF this morning after the patch and noticed I wasn't able to use my top two primary attacks while mezzed.
Anyone else notice this or was there talk of defiance changing in this latest patch? Guess I'll know for sure once the Notes are up but was wondering if anyone else noticed this. -
No riot because they promised to not run in the next election in September???
Wait.... wrong newsreel. -
I have to say when I had a short stint on LOTRO one of the coolest things I saw was the neighborhood themed housing. You had an actual residence with an actual "address" in game. I didn't get that far into the game but they had a rent system in which you could lose the address if upkeep wasn't paid for.
I could see this working for COX in that you could have different neighborhoods for secret lairs, SG towers, personal apartments, etc. I know some would hate having their base fixed to a specific address in the city but I thought it cool that anyone could "tour" the different neighborhoods and even enter certain parts of the residence. I like the idea of there being a Beverly Hills in FF or a Camden, NJ in the Hollows.
Not sure if SG's would take this to the extreme in trying t get into the "best" neighborhoods and have the most curb appeal but I thought it was a cool concept. -
I'm hoping for a week where it's the KHTF!!
That 50 tf badge is gonna be brutal for me. -
Very nice Turg.
Gratz!!!
And I agree about the WST badges....1 for a badge, of course....10, understandable ... but for myself who is lucky to have time to run 1 TF a week that 50 total... ugh. -
My biggest accomplishment....I gained a level on my stalker.
-
I've played an AR/Rad corruptor as well....Mr. Iran....pretty much agree with your assessment.
I also leveled a Ill/sonic troller, which may not be that odd but haven't seen another one on my home server. Enjoyed Tina/Maria arcs as it proved a fairly effective EB/AV killer, Phanty toughened up nicely with the shields. -
Forgive me if this has been asked/ information stated somewhere/ or simply an obvious answer that I can't see but I exhausted my search fu and came up nada.
I have two accounts, sometimes run just the one, sometimes both and *gasp* have even taken a break a couple times with neither account running.
So to make a long story short I have come up with different Toon names and have grown to like some more than others which eventually led me to change my global on my main account to the Forum name on my second account.
I am wondering if there is a way to switch the Forum account names between the two accounts or even to switch the name 2nd account and then "take" the name by switching the name of my 1st account?
I thought I remember name switching to not be an option for forum accounts but can't find that either in my searches.
And to head off the response of simply just posting in the second account if I like that name, I haven't played any toons on that account in a couple months and can't justify paying the subscription fee at this time. When I have a pull to play some of the toons there then I will reactivate but was hoping that my forum and global could match again. -
*takes aim and hits EnergetiCrusader with my beanbag
But I have no unyielding love for Ignite.... I know some do and I don't think I would see swap ammo as a huge beneficial switch but I would be upset to lose beanbag. -
I don't mind GD although I don't call it up on a regular basis... like others have said I pull him out for the defiance boost before I hit EB's or multiple bosses in a spawn.
I also like using him as a mini tank for EB's; call him up then using Cloak and SS whip over to the far side of the mob and watch him obediently take the alpha for me -
Would love another go at this but curse the infernal nieces for needing babysitting. I'll be having my hair pulled out and macaroni shoved up my nose about when you make this attempt.
None the less I still think the team got hosed on the last one, considering no one seemed to get a proximity message but Good Luck on this run!! -

I actually had someone ask if AR got a recent buff when running through a PuG ITF on my AR/Dev today.... I actually lol'd.

Quote:This sounds like someone who feels entitled to eventually "get" the badge without having to "earn" the badge.Ganked? Maybe once or twice.
Repeatedly? By the same person?
That's coming up on being a textbook example of griefing.
Some badges can be grinded, some can farmed, some can be gotten as a tag along on good teams. Some have to be earned through a different skill set, luck, etc such as PvP. -
If I wsan't babysitting the nieces I would love to try this....its been a loooooong while since I took part in a Hami Run. Consequently I am also heading out of town for 3 weeks for the hollidays........ :/
Guess that's a long winded way to say hopefully I catch this in the new year. -
In coming up with slotting for Survelleince I saw that it takes Accurate Debuff sets and came to the same conclusion but the resulting agro is good to know. That may make a difference to how many slots I throw on it.
I see that some people don't care for Munitions but to be honest with you I have tried a couple of the other Epics and they all lack something. In having to do a repec to work in inherent fitness anyweays this gives me an excellent opportunity to try something new. Besides with the second respec coming in a week if I fnd there is something that I absolutely can't stand by giving up Frozen Armor I can always respec back into it or give something new a try. -
I'm doing a respec on my AR/Dev and was looking at switching to Munitions Mastery.
In coming up with slotting I was looking at putting the Achilles Proc in surveillance but was wondering if the -Resistance debuff would apply to baddies when in a power that doesn't require a to-hit check.
Anybody know if this proc works in surveillance. Thanks for any heads up! -
So in looking at respeccing my AR/Dev blaster I have been fooling around with slotting some of my IO sets and had what seemed like a good idea in theory but was wondering if anyone has some actual experience with this.
I have a full set of Ragnarok which previously I used in FA. I kinda liked the knockdown proc in there because it helped me mitigate damage on large mobs while solo. But in coming up with my respecced build and Ignite seemingly being situational do to its fear component and the need to immobilize foes before use, I had the "brainstorm" to throw the knockdown proc in Ignite to help keep foes flopping around and in the patch.
I've searched to see if someone has tried this (I'm sure someone has) but my search fu turned up nada. Anyone tried this? Anyone have a good (or otherwise) reason while this wouldn't be worth trying? Any advice welcome. -
Alright after reading your post and re-reading paragon wiki I get the jist of it. I guess nothing is better than something but ultimately the magnitude of the attack is what is going to really determine my protection effectiveness.
Thanks for the reply; it helped me work it out. -
Sorry if this is somewhere on the forums but my searches revealed nada.....Paragon wiki didn't seem to help me figure it out either.
I am looking at respecing my blaster and in doing so I am realizing it has been a long while since I did one and have a couple questions.
I looked at adding some kb protection some time ago and had worked out a build that gave me 6 pts of protection. This seemed to work for my purposes but now in working out my new build I have added a Steadfast 4 pt protection and am wondering....
Is 4 pts enough?
I can add another 3 fairly cheaply in a Kin Crash set but am thinking of opting for other slotting.
I don't like/have hover...don't want it... but is there something else I should look at. Any advice is welcome. Thx. -
