  1. Ive been doing some soloing in DA on my WP/SS tank and have not had much of a problem. I ti not sc to the main ones but really close and I didnt take it to vill side to get those said powers, I took the fire epic pool instead but still not much difficulty's with it.
  2. I love my lvl 50 SD/BA tank even if it is a end hog, but I do have 1 thing to say bout the tank SHIELD CHARGE. But as pointed out the attacks do take a lot of end.

As for my concept of 'enough accuracy', her current build runs about 160%, 180% accuracy with Tactics. You build is carrying about 100%, although the Kismet will help. That's enough to hit even-level bosses, but who plays at that level, these days?

And Incarnate content is much tougher than even +4 regular enemies. I would hope to have the build stable and effective Before adding Alpha and Accolades and whatnot. I don't want to wait until after L50 to slap enough bandaids on the character to function.

That's the fear, you know? That she'll suddenly become un-fun, because she can't measure up to the content.

    Be Well!

When I was first building my FA/Fire tank where I had no real idea how mids worked I posted my build. Got a few other ppl posting a different build then mine. I looked at every other build for it and took what worked best for my play style. Rangle had a nice build as well as a few other ppl that i listened to. Like he said if you do not like something because it dose not fit your play style that is fine take what you want from it. I can make a build for you but u might not like it since i would do the same as rangle did and take out tactics. I just think it is funny how you are having end issues but you have powers that r end heavy IE tactics, and assault. From looking at your build you really going to have survivability issues. If u want to keep tactics switch out assault with man instead and add a few LoTG which will help with your reg and HP. I also see you going to be KBed a lot if you do certain end game stuff. Yes lot of the KB is only mag 4, but there is still lot that r not, and they do stack some times.

  5. P.E.R.C. Presents: Hard Core Iron-Man ITF Race
    Sunday, May 27th @ 2 PM EST
    Hosted by P.E.R.C. Rep @LSK

    What:
The Hard Core Iron-Man ITF is a challenging race against the clock and your fellow players as part of a 3-man team. You and your teammates will fight your way through countless Cimeroran traitors, mythical beasts, and cosmic threats all the while aiming to set the best time for completion amongst all the competing teams. There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 fastest teams and with the fewest deaths! No Temps are allowed

    When:
All times listed are for Sunday, May 27th

The race window begins at: 2 PM Eastern

The race window ends at: 6:00 PM Eastern

The deadline for submitting screenshots is: 7:30 PM Eastern

Winners of the Hardcore Iron-Man ITF Race will be announced on global channels and in this thread as soon as they are tabulated.

If one or more team(s) are waiting to form near the end of the race window we will assist until the queue is cleared, but no new teams will be added to the queue after the 6 PM cut-off. This means there is a possibility that a team or two may begin after the listed end of the race window. The deadline for screenshots will remain the same, no matter when your team started.

    Where:
The race will take place in Cimerora (Freedom Server only). Players who are interested in participating should meet with one of the P.E.R.C. Representatives who will be waiting near the TF contact, Imperious. To enter Cimerora, your character will need to have Midnighter Club access.

    Who May Participate:
Characters of any alignment who are level 35+ and able to enter Cimerora. Please note that, since this is a race, level 50 characters will usually stand a better chance at winning and are therefore highly recommended.

Players are allowed to organize their own team of 3 in advance of the event. That means yes, you and your friends can plan to come as a group! Duos and individuals will be matched with other available players present for the event by the P.E.R.C. staff, so even if you show up solo you have a chance to compete!

P.E.R.C. members (from Freedom or other servers) may compete as this is an objective contest, but will not receive inf prizes, just bragging rights.

    Prizes:
To be eligible for prizes, your team will need to e-mail a screenshot* to: PERC.COH@gmail.com (see below for more details).

The race prizes are as follows:

    3rd Place Team: 100 Million Inf. Per Player and a Numina's Recovery/Regen
2nd Place Team: 250 Million Inf. Per Player and a Luck of the Gambler + Recharge
1st Place Team: 500 Million Inf. Per Player and a Numina's Recovery/Regen AND a Luck of the Gambler + Recharge

    Rules & Additional Info:
    1) Teams competing in the race will be limited to three (3) players maximum.
Since the TF requires 6 players to start, P.E.R.C. Reps and assistants will be present to provide enough members for a team to begin the race.

    2) You must have a member of P.E.R.C. or an approved assistant on your team, as a temporary anchor.
We will only accept entries from teams that had an approved player there to verify a clean start. They will remain long enough for the TF to begin and then drop once the other anchors have quit the team.

    3) You can run the TF as many times as you want during the event window.
You are allowed to switch characters and teams between races. Only a team's (and individual's) best time will be considered for judging. For example: John Doe is on the team that takes 3rd place, then switches to another team that wins 1st place. John Doe will receive 500 million inf., not 600 million.

    4) Outside buffing is not allowed.
This means that players caught using secondary accounts or friends to buff their characters before entering a mission may be docked on time or disqualified, at the judges' discretion.

    5) The team IS NOT allowed to use temporary powers (including powers like Shivans, Nukes and Vanguard HVAS).

We will be doing our best to make sure that everyone who is interested in participating in the race and present during the time window is able to compete, but due to the nature of the event we cannot guarantee everyone a spot on a team. The event coordinators will attempt to create balanced teams with a mix of archetypes, pulled from the available pool of interested players.

    Screenshots:
Times will be judged using screenshots.
One player from the team will need to take a screenshot that shows the team window, the XP/Menu bar (the portion that shows TF challenge settings) and the TF completion window with the final time and number of deaths. You don't need to rename or resize the screenshot; just pull it out of your CoH Screenshots folder and attach it to an e-mail. Edited screenshots will be disqualified.

To qualify for any of the race prizes, your team must submit a screenshot to: PERC.COH@gmail.com
Each team should discuss who will be taking and submitting the screenshot, as this will not be done by the judges or assistants. Remember not to close your window or exit the mission until a screenshot is taken and you have verified it contains all the required information. You also need to include global names for each of the 3 teammates.

The command to make the UI visible in screenshots is: /screenshotui 1
The command to disable the UI afterwards is: /screenshotui 0

Special note: The TF window will only accurately track deaths if a Death Counter is selected as part of the TF challenge settings when the TF is formed.
The number of deaths allowed is important and will affect your chances of winning. This is why we need a screenshot showing the XP/Menu bar & TF challenge settings: To ensure accurate tracking!

If you have any questions about this or other event rules/details, please feel free to contact a Rep on the forums or in-game at @LSK
  6. Do not understand why u have stealth in there unless u are just using it as a mule for the LoTG procs which is pointless if your trying to get that set bonus since your over the rule of 5 for that. You are capped on all 3 of them IE your HP, Regain, and recharge for it. If u have it for def u will lose some once you attack while thats active. If you use kick in your attack chain just remember that it is a KB and KB is kind of bad for melee toons should of gone with boxing. I have a build that is inv/ss I will post to give u a few ideas to help you out. It is a bit cheaper then most but still great def just have not had time to try to fit in some ATOs yet on it.

but My thoughts are that to lead with Shadow punch, I have 4 Brute ATO's and a Mako's proc and the other proc...wha tis it touch of death or something?

Then Chain SL, MG, Gloom SL MG Gloom.

SO it would be SP, SL, MG, GL, SL, (.11 second gap), MG, GL, repeat.

I think that gets the bruising on most of the chain and allows me to use the higher damage attacks, I have SL slotted for damage and have the Tanker Proc in it. Gloom will be slotted with the purple set (haven't made it red side yet, currently using fire) and hetacomb is in MG. I have about 195 global recharge i think...in my final build...I'm not quite there yet with all the IO's.

Any advice on a better chain? I really like using SL as an attack with an added heal so would rather have that than Smite in the chain....currently I don't even have smite in my final build...but I do right now.
    Tanks can use brutes ATO?

While I generally build with 10+ mag in mind, it's not "required". I certainly like to have it on my builds though.
Here is the list again http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Knockbac...ockback_Powers
  9. A few things considering both yours and mauk first off your KB prot is to low u want to get at least 10-12 KB protection, It is hard to tank if your getting KBed every where. Second the Numa ++ is useless in the HF is a bad place since it will not activate till u use it, trey putting it in health this way it is always active. Third temp prot is pointless in the FA build for tanks since your all ready capped in the Fire res, and there is not many that uses ice, that said I am not SC or close to SC in positional on my FA and I know a few others the same way that had never had any problems with the seers in the Trials.
  10. Well to answer one of your problems is that FA tank is more of a typed def then positional, which can help u as far as def which is easier to get closer to SC with S/L/Neg/En def. I have a lvl 50+3 FA/Fire tank that I tank alot with on reg content and on Itrials so like Mauk said a well built FA tank can tank anything. I went energy with mine which some ppl go with, others took up the fire epic pool, and then there is some that went vil and got soul mastery, it just comes down to what u like best.
  11. Which clarion u going to get? 1 of them be kind of pointless on a tank if u took the mez prot since that is what clarion is. One is just mez prot, the other adds range, and recharge. I would of take the rebirth personally for the regain or heal.

Thor - Electric/Inv Brute with hammer animations instead of punches
Ironman - Peace Bringer with Perma LF and Perma inner light
Cap - Street justice/Shield Scrapper (with leadership pool)
    Hawkeye - Arrow/Dev blaster
    Black Widow - MA/SR scrapper
Agent Coulson - AR/dev blaster (veng bait)

Just like in COH a tank would be a waste!

    <------ Runs away

Ok if I HAVE to pick a tank it would be my Fire/Fire tank. Again this team needs more AOE!
Um Black Widow used alot of DP in there, and Iron man is more of a blaster not a PB. As for agent coulson yes venge bate, and as for your tanks build them better As for holding doors in a BAF of course your crab can do better at holding the doors becouse they r immune to taunt, and u have no holds on tanks like some of the other archetypes for that. I can hold aggro on other stuff but that.

Still, there are 2 free slots to use for kb protection if need be.
Kind of useless to tank if your being KBed everywhere.
  15. Ok planet first off in your build u are over the rule of 5 with the 3 cleaving blows so the extra def to it is doing no good since u are not getting it. Gravity u seem to be missing some slots or for some reason it came up to where your missing some slots. Not to mention the KB prot on it is very poor for a tank since most end game content is from 8-10 KB. The purples r nice and all but do cost u some end.

Um I think u miss read what I posted which is which TANK not toon u would want to add to the Avengers since this is the tank forum
  17. Congratulations, You just received A Rangle Plot badge.

  20. I went to see the avengers last night and could not help but wounder what would happen if I could of put one of my tanks in there to help them out. So I started wondering bout it and came up with my FA/Fire tank Sir Hell on Justice. After all Burn can go a long way Now which one of your tanks would u pick?
  21. First off u can not get EA unless your talking bout the tanks secondary, Ice is more def then res, Fire is more res then def, stone u can get both on def and res but slow recharge and movement. Now to all of these it is easy to get around the problems with each if u build it right, and can use IOs. As for damage u can get good damage but nothing like some other archetypes out there since tanks are ment to take damage and keep aggro then they r to deal it.

I kind of figured it was for the def thus i mentioned the def IO but kismet works.
  23. Looking at your build there sato u r over the rule of 5 with the 3 LoTG in phalanx Fighting, plus it is a auto power no need for the def/end in it. The LoTG recharge is good, but i would probably switch it out with something else for the other 2, or move the lots some where else like adding 1 to health to give it another numa for the set bonuse on reg, and placing an def IO in phalanx fighting.
  24. Uhm Nemesis invasion and Rangle is no where to be found coincidence?
