    I want this too! I've wanted and never officially posted a thread for Egyptian themed base/object skins and definitely wanted more costume choices in this category. Maybe this would provoke the developers into creating a whole new Egyptian themed zone with pyramids, deserts, and an oasis or two. That is for another thread, so i will close the floodgates for now.

    I do like this idea! Heck, I would be just as satisfied with an even simpler solution. If im doing something and can't respond without screwing up whatever I'm doing I just want people to know I cant respond for that reason. This message would say " I am currently working on a respec or costume change and cannot respond at this time. " for me personally this would suffice, but I like your idea of having the ability to chat while doing my respec...I just know I won't want to talk while I'm doing mine. One other idea along the same lines...It would be helpful for people working on a respec or costume change to be globally displayed as "Tailor" or "Respec" in the location field instead of just showing Steel or pocket D. This would probably get some people to avoid sending you messages in the first place until it shows a different status.

    Point 1 - absolutely, the other points can be overcome with some creative placement of banners/markers(with exception of your minor request point 4) but hey I'm all for more Cowbell, just trying to focus on the most needed.

    Yay for Point 1! I've wanted that option for a looooong time.
    My biggest storage wish beyond the sorting is boosting the storage capacity....I will gladly pay more inf for some bins that look the same yet hold more stuff. The "salvage" storage in particular needs the upgrade option or boost the most. Either boost the capacity to 100 or keep the two choices we have(standard magic/tech bin) and make more expensive versions that hold more. It would really help to maximize space in the smaller base footprints. Coupled with the sorting option which is coming can make storage issues alot more manageable.

    I definitely agree a distinctive chime is a good Idea. One step further would be to have the recipients bar on the team window blink two or three times to accommodate people that turn their volume down.

    I'm assuming you're referring to the leaping pool, more specifically to acrobatics(KB resist) I agree it was almost necessary if you had a fire/dark primary set on your tanker before the invention system. I wasn't suggesting this option to become a game changer, but if you didnt have a break free it could be a useful power in a pinch..long rech(maybe resistable to rech enh/recipe bonus). I figured it fit in the set since you get an attack power/s, a resist toggle, def toggle, why not a short term status protection as the fifth. I see it fitting in this set as you need attacks/def/resistance and the ability to withstand a stunning shot to be a fighter.

    Even "IF" the Incarnate trial didn't have random events as you put it, the idea of having an Incarnate trial on the Rikti homeworld is really good. I would love to run outdoor missions in a Rikti city where the architectural style is similar to that of Rikti bases/saucer we see now in the RWZ.

    Does that actually work? I've never tried that to see if the mission changed. Great suggestion if that really works. I've also run into this problem when trying to run the Frost Fire arc with teammates.

    As far as getting this fixed so its not random please put me down as PRO REFORM.

  10. I'm sooo glad I read this thread it made me laugh out loud.

    If you want to revamp civilians how bout revamping their AI, more importantly the collision code. A lvl 50 tank should not be pushed around but a lowly citizen flailing their arms and running in circles like a chicken with it's head cut off. If you want to make the Citizens look better why not use the citizen models from Preatoria. They look better(probably from drinking enriche). On that note I'm not sure how they drink it because the emote has the cap securely on the bottle.

  11. I personally wouldn't mind the 5th power to be something like "Practiced Brawler" a status protection click power exactly like, if not less powerful than the version reflex scrappers use. I know this may not be much use for characters with status proctection, but it would really come in handy or the squishier types. If the devs were worried about balance they could increase the rech so it couldn't be set to perma. This pool would become a very attractive choice for the softer archetypes if a status protection power was available in it.

  12. The big problem is the time for each animation...not only time needed to develop an alternative animation, but the animation has to match the duration of the attack from start to finish. Does knockout Blow's animation take longer than lets say air superiority? Yes. If air superiority's animation is too short for the power you want to use it for then it can't be used in its place. If I remember correctly you can't switch to a quicker animation because of powerset balancing or DPS. If you traded SS knockout blow's animation for another(shorter) animation it would throw everything off. That is most likely why you dont see more choices to swap animations. I'm all for new animations I just dont think this can be done quickly by using animations that already exist. I do like the idea of a firewhip though for firesword circle. That would pretty be awesome.

  13. I like the Idea if you called them PPD SWAT...maybe a PPD POWERSUIT as the Boss Pet and minions with debuff/-rech, basically whatever the PPD have at their disposal. Maybe an unlockable MM for reaching 50 with a hero. And for the RED side maybe have the Rippers unlock for the that side at lvl 50. The rippers use pretty much the same weaponry, but i dont think i've seen a lvl 50 ripper boss so not sure how high they go on red. We would need to figure out a boss for that. Maybe we could have it in the paragon store for 400pts each. Anyway, thats my 2cents on it.

  16. Ok so I'm up late, well up very early and I'm reading thru some of the other MM requests when this one idea struck me. Cyborgs...part human part machine and can be upgraded with lots of gadgets/abilities. Here is my mock-up of the powerset.

    1) Beam Rifle blast = mod dam -res/-reg single target
    2)series 1 cyborgs = three cyborgs w/ beam rifle powers and some energy melee powers w/ kb they would also have minor resist to en/smash/lethal
    3) beam rifle shock Round = High Dam hold/stun single target
    4)cybernetic upgrade =(1st lvl minions)additional beam rifle attks/en melee attks(2nd lvl LT. Minions)+ ACC +PER auras/Stun Grenade(Boss Pet) En Melee attacks whirling hands/stun
    5)Beam Rifle Burst=cone attk mod dam -res/-reg
    6)Series 2 Cyborgs=2 ranged pets with plasma guns minor to mod dam en attacks kb/stun
    have resist to en/smash/lethal
    7)unleash Cyborg Army=army of 10 cyborgs of various models mostly outdated some missing limbs some weilding robotic arms as melee weapons w/good resist en/smash/lethal but do low dam...a kin to gang war. "to create diversions/choas/fun".
    8)Advanced Prototype=main boss w/ mod resist to en/smash/lethal-basic brute Melee type with minor to mod dam attacks to start.
    9)Total Overhaul-final upgrade of all pets=(minion pets) get beak rifle shock round hight dam/beam rifle burst mod dam(LT Pets)plasma blast=plasma gun aoe plasma en splash damage mod/plasma burn high damage single target attk -speed to target(Boss Pet) lasterbeam eyes mod damage -def/Total Focus extreme en damage

    My vision is something between nobal savage and arnold as the terminator when he is half beatdown showing half of his metallic skeleton with red cybernetic optic sticking out. the other cyborgs smaller, maybe a female cyborg /w special buff skill(ie medic) for diversity.
    Anyway, please give me some feedback on it.

    I almost agree with all these ideas for possible 5th tier PowerPool choices. I would prefer a different choice in the leadership pool. I was thinking something like "RALLY" a click power that boosts def/dam/end/rech to the team for a brief period of time...20s maybe. something designed as a turn the tide power without needing the corpse of my dead friend to set of vengeance

    anyway thats my 2 cents. What do you think?...thanks!

    I completely understand your point and the "why" behind the reason we don't see certain enemy groups as we get higher, but when you hit 50 it gets boring to do the same misisons all the time against the same groups. We have several enemy groups that can be upgraded/altered to fit some new TIP missions that will be challenging at lvl 50. I am not talking about new story arcs just talking about TIP missons(one and done). It's all fiction and I'm sure a creative writing team could work around threat lvl limitations. It's probably going to be easier to use existing groups than to create all new high lvl groups for new Tips. More Cowbell thats all im saying!
  19. I agree with this suggestion. I love the tip missions and would really like to see some more variety especially at high levels. Seems like its usually Malta/Arachnos/Devouring Earth/COT/Council(some 5th column but never enough if you ask me) I know there is the "Peregrine Explosion" with freaks, but how bout some groups you dont see as much(or at all) at high levels like the Warriors or some elite types of Hellions/Skulls...lets not forget about those pesky snakes and other factions from the "ROGUE ISLES".

"rise of the council: The Broken column" (Starring Fractured dawn)when I pass the movie house in Kings Row or in Talos I always thought it would be cool to have story arcs based on the movie posters and this "fractured dawn" person. Better yet, make a movie house map for some of them. There is some pretty good lore that can be explored here. Maybe have the 5th column kidnap Fractured Dawn. Any thoughts on this.?

    I am new to posting on the forum, but I have played Coh/CoV since Launch. Recently I was playing with a newer player and we were discussing the energy powerset. we went over the pros and cons of creating an Energy Blaster. First I covered the powers and how fun I thought the set was and how cool the effects of "Energy Torrent" and "Nova" were. After going on about how awesome the set was I felt compelled to give the new player a dislaimer. "Oh, and when you use your powers on a team they will all hate you for it"! It's true isn't it?
    How many of us have been the EN blaster or on a team with one? the tanker herds his badguys...you swoop in and try to use a well placed energy torrent. Even nova(one of the coolest looking powers) has its detractors. If you dont kill them all or most you might get grief for the knockback. Truth be told most Tankers,Scrappers and Controllers hate knockback. Knockback can be great on a team of squishies if you want to put some distance between you and the enemy. knockback is great to solo with. How about on a standard team? Let's face it, it's not a good fit. I consider a standard team to have one of each archetypes. Sure you can be a good teammate and not use any of your powers, but really how fun is that. Do you really want someone telling you that its ok for you to stay. just dont use this, this, this, or this? Its not.

    ok, so after that rant I offer a possible compromise/solution to this problem. Players need the ability to manipulate the magnitude of knockback. This means a slidebar to adjust knockback effects on our powers going from Max knockback to knockdown. maybe a global toggle to temporarily switch it. The point is we can make this work for team use and then let it fly for solo, or squishy teams. I would love to hear some feedback....Thanks!

  23. I just want to say Great Job!!!! Since i6 I've only seen positive changes to this game. I can honestly say I get excited about each new issue coming out. Hats off to the Devs/Designers on what looks to be another fantastic issue. For i12 I must beg you for more toon slots on each server....IM GOING TO NEED EM :P
