Could any either answer a question about damage debuffs or point me in the direction of the answer? Hopefully I am just thinking about this too hard and the answer is simple, but I want to know how and where the damage debuff is applied. If you hit a critter that does 300 damage with Benumb (50% damage debuff), let's pretend the critter has no debuff resistances, would the damage of 150 hit the player then have the player's damage resistance applied? Basically would it be this, 300 initial damage -50% damage debuff = 150 then -50% resistance making the total amount of damage to the player from the critter 75?

Hello again everyone! I thought with all the new league stuff going on I would revive this thread so that more could post on it and meet others to join in on each other's leagues. It would also be cool to greet more of the people that I teamed with on some of the leagues for the BAF or Lambda trials. So post some intros and hellos to everyone if you would and let's all get together for some leagues and such.

Looks like you got your way again there UNBOUND... they changed the WSTs. They are doing more and they are different ones, no repeats. Can you tell them to eat rainbows and poop butterflies also? That would be very amusing.

I did figure out something kind of like what I was referring to. If you have an item selected, while holding down the mouse button, and want to move it a tiny amount just move your character. It is easiest with movement powers off, of course. An example is I wanted to move my meeting table a tiny bit to the left and the mouse was moving it to far or up or down anything but the tiny bit I wanted it to. I selected the table realigned it where it was then tapped my move left key and the table moved with my character slightly to the left where I wanted it. This isn't useful very often, but it does come in handy sometimes.

I just wanted to make sure I am not missing anything here. There are no keyboard controls for placing items, such as while placing an item you can hit left arrow to nudge the item left, right? That would make placing items so much easier sometimes. The mouse just does not cut it all the time.

So about 8 hours ago I logged into the character copy tool and copied 3 characters to the test server. When I log onto the test server they are not there, no characters are there at all. Am I missing something, is the test server not accessible at the moment? Let me know if you need anymore information from me, as I am not sure what else to include.

Hello! I just joined the Facebook group "City Of Heroes - Guardian Server" yay! I had to create a new account to do it, as I disabled or deleted my real account and I will not bring it back. I will finish up my profile page later, but it will pretty much just be CoH stuff. One last thing, I created the profile as "Kragothe Burford" but I do not really want anything other than "Kragothe" to show up. I only added my last name because I had to put in a last name. Is there anyway to do that, or do I have to display a first and a last name?

Just an extra bit of information about not taking Acrobatics;

Accelerate Metabolism: Activating this power emits radiation that increases the running speed, attack speed, Endurance recovery, and damage potential of all nearby allies. Affected allies' metabolisms are increased so much that they become resistant to effects such as Sleep, Hold, Disorient, Immobilization and Endurance Drain.

As the description of it says it adds resistance to controlling effects, quite a significant amount of resistance IMO. On the occasions Amphithea (my /Rad controller) gets hit with a hold they wear off pretty quickly. Use AM then check your combat attributes window for more information. That is why I do not have Acrobatics on Amph. Hopefully that helps =)

"Another better option uses two purples in place of the last two, gives 16% Regen, and gives you higher damage for slightly less accuracy by using two of the purple Soulbound Allegiance IOs. The Chance for Build Up gives you the potential for even higher damage. Of course, you can only use this slotting at level 50. This last one is the slotting that I think is "best." The Chance for Build Up proc has a chance to activate with each attack by the PA, so three pets firing off attacks means that it hits fairly often. I read this paragraph in your first post and had a question on it. I slotted the Soulbound Allegiance chance for damage IO in my Phantom Army and it appears to me to only buff their damage individually, or mine sometimes after casting them. I assume this from the fact that it shows the pink "build up" buff icon next to one of the Decoys name's on the pet window and from watching their damage. I have only seen this icon on my Decoys and myself (after casting Phantom Army). Am I missing something, or have they changed SB chance for build up?

Really everyone… instead of trying to bash them for what they say, look at it what they are doing. They are bringing an event to Guardian that everyone can participate in and have fun. So calm down and have some fun that is the point of a game is it not? I think what they are doing is awesome. I like the idea of bringing the server together to have some fun at an event.

To me trying to bring down others over the internet by bashing them is a waste of energy and just plain boring. Why not spend that time and play the game. For example, if you don’t like someone saying they are number one at something, do something to prove them wrong. If someone says they are number one for having the most prestige and you don’t like it, acquire more prestige then them, like Lohenien is. If that is what you value and is fun, go for it.

To me the number one SG is an SG I enjoy being part of and playing with. Honestly what good does it really do to have more influence, prestige, or even money than someone else if you do nothing with it? Take influence for example, anyone can have billions of influence sitting on their character, but how many can use that influence wisely and build heroes that are capable of taking on insurmountable odds? Do you want to sit on top of piles of money and live in a dumpster? If so what is really the point of having money? Living in a dumpster is free, unless the government has a tax on that now too which would not surprise me these days, so why bother with the effort of obtaining that money in the first place?

Besides, who has the most prestige, influence, purple spotted dinosaurs, or whatever other pointless stuff we want to compare SGs by, will all by a thing of the past when/if they bring back base raids and Items of Power.

Sorry I did not mean for this to be so long, and I hope I did not offend anyone. I am just saying enjoy the fun event and stop trying to bring it down. Hopefully something I said contained some useful information and I did not just ramble and waste time.

Maybe I just missed it but I did not see any information on "Soulbound Allegiance: Chance for Build Up". Is this one always active, like the defense or damage resist auras, only active while the pet is alive, or does it trigger when the pet hits something?
Last, does it buff your damage, or the pets damage?

Sounds funtastic, congratulations on earning the top ranking SG spot and good luck with your event!

I agree they are rather annoying as drops. I have found several useful but I have never waited with anticipation for that one to drop. They are cool to have around but not essential, which I think is how they were intended.

I have used "Recovery Serum" for my low level characters, and occasionally I use them during long fights with AVs or whatever.

I have used the “Hand Grenades” on characters that need an extra attack or damage, like my controllers, and sometimes just because it is funny to throw grenades at things

The “Med Pack” I like to use as an emergency heal on my Willpower tank since he does not have his own heal.

The “Backup Radio” I used along with three other temp pets (Shivans, Vanguard HVAS, and Amy) to fight Lord Recluse as an AV alone. They really come in handy when he starts summoning all his buddies.

A couple of my characters have the “Resuscitator” just in case.
The smoke flash works well when my Phantom Army drops and I need a few seconds for the new ones to grab agro.

The Power Analyzers are underrated in my opinion. They are useful for designing custom AVs in AE, but more importantly they show vital stats of AVs so you know what your debuffs are doing and why you are not winning, if you are not.

Overall they are just convenient to have around sometimes, not totally necessary just useful if used right. So at least one person buys them and if they were not cheap I would not buy them, lol =) I am going to have to start using that "Venom Dagger" though, -regen... Nice! I had not even paid attention to it before.

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone that participated in tonight’s RWZ raid with me, please pass on my thanks to your friends that are not on the forums as well. We had a minor setback due to some disorganization, but in the end it turned out great. A lot of Rikti got what they deserve and a lot of Vanguard merits were earned. Any future raids with me will have better organization and be less last minute.

Hello everyone,

I have picked up Water Spout on my controller, I have 6 enhancement slots in it but only 5 slots filled so far. I am trying to determine what to put in the 6th slot. I am currently trying Positron's Blast: Chance for Energy Damage. Does anyone know if this enhancement has a chance to cause additional damage every time Water Spout hits, or only when I cast it, or not at all? I tried to test it on Paladin but I couldn't tell if it was doing additional damage or not.
