  1. Champion server used to have the Gambino Crime Family - 6kin/fire 1 ff/fire and fotm. Talk about a swarm.
  2. 1. Add a mechanic like assassin's focus to single target attacks that would mitigate the endurance on AOEattacks - even tier 9 could be markedly decreased via defiance. Use this add a fear or confuse and hold to the AOEs to a limited degree due to blaster causing so much chaos in battle.

    2. Reduce or remove rooting as a defense bonus.

Yes, blue satin, and if you have the snowflake emote the flakes will stay on their nose and reyelashes.

(btw- strong thread everyone; some of your best thought processes yet. Keep it up)

    Oh, and yay, free stuff!

All I know is this Lo Pan character comes from out of thin air in the middle of a ***damned alley, while his buddies are flying around on wires, ripping everyone to shreds...and he just stands there, waiting for me to drive my truck straight through him?! With LIGHT coming out of his mouth?!"

  6. I think it lasts about 10-15 seconds - doesnt seem to have a limit *yet*; I was lucky to have it stack 3 time spamming shadow punch, at that point I moved it to an aura.

    Right? /confused
I would. You would essentially have two Power Siphons. Note that Hybrid has a 65% (not 100% - as long as you hit) chance to buff you for 5 stacks of 15% plus a base 10% to your base damage.
  8. Also interesting to note on Core: With my FM/Shield scrapper - if i do an aoe attack, it checks on each foe in range, so I can get multiple stacks in one AoE if Im lucky. Not sure this is WAI, though.
  9. IIRC, I believe one such comment was made in an interview on a game site that suggested that the Incarnate content *along with enhancers* would "be like" (note that this was not the same as "numerically/statistically the same as") giving a character another ten levels of power. Since then, the idea has been markedly conflated to "It's mai powah, and I want it nao!! - with a +10 if you got any." Personally I took this as a warning that most of the level shifting powers where given and that we *might* see two more max.

Yep, wish they would extend that, too. I thought Shadow Shard was going to be the "super super zone" back in the day. Part me still wishes that because it seems so... ethereal, but likely people want more new zones. W/e, long live CoH. I'm happy with their design so far.

They've already started adding comments about beings such as Rularuu who have ascended beyond being Incarnate. It's not too much of a stretch to think that we will eventually move beyond the Well's powers into new super territory sometime in the future... even if it may not happen until several years from now.
Minor spoiler(?): Prometheus seems to think that we think we're headed in that direction in his lore (Great reads for post Magi Trial, I think, havent talked to Prommy in a while). Hopefully Omega will be the end of *Incarnate* content.

As to Taunting NPC's, meh, I get my targeting confused by widows and Seccubus (spelling), fears etc. Wanna taunt me? Fine, I'll keep more break-frees handy.
  12. Minor insight: On my Fire/Shield Scrapper, I have both the core graft and radial grafts (T3's). I've notice on lower hp targets that the radial helps more since more of its damage is front loaded. For a single hard target core seemed a little better but took a while to ramp-up due to stacking. Radial also provided more predictable performance. No numbers to post yet. Another note: on trials and "high-end" teams that have a lot of buffs, radial's double hit also was helpful since I hit cap a lot. YMMV. Core seemed to function like chance-to-hit fury: stacking buff on you that you have to keep attacking to maintain. it is powerful. I dont know if i like chasing it. Think of power siphon.

Anyone know numbers on +def for support? May use that on a tank that has plenty of dam rez and regen.
  13. If Strato's sample is accurate, it seems that Radial is WAI. Quick acting/recharge and AOE's have a lesser chance to proc then single target, longer recharge (and likely longer animating) ST attacks.

If Core is the same then High AT mods with longish animating ST attacks will likely fair well with Core. Example: a scrapper with Broad Sword. At some point there is going to be a break even point just like Reactive Interface where the animation length may interfere with application duration - how long is the stacking window? Do we know?

  16. For myself, scrappers have always been the go to tool for the game because I solo so much. Now that Incarnates are the happening thing, I am dealing with it well enough to keep my main toons up to scratch, but since the current challenges are almost obligate team oriented... the solo-test bar hasnt moved along with the abilities of the soloist.

    Edit: it's WSF, btw.
  18. New Mechanic called Density: works depending on attacking, similar to fury but built-up similar to domination. Range penalties as well as "warped" an area around the tank such that a -acc and -dam are granted to all baddies in a given radius. Density would be tied to a taunt auras, which would be tied to the defining power of each set with standardized taunt mags. The radius of effect (max 30ft with taunt) and bonuses to listed effects (range: -40%max; -acc: 20%max; -dam: 10%max) would increase with amount of density.

If you dont like the -acc and -dam ideas, one could modify the secondary effects of the primary and secondary powers. KD increased to KU, increased stun duration, increased -end, etc., but that would requre the tank to hit targets to really work, but would inspire less taunt-botting, too. Effects from the primary set buffed 10%max, and from secondary 20%max.

Much less likely (as if any of this will fly to begin with ) - Denisty could be discharged as a implosive pulse, pulling all effected targets in the 30ft-max-range toward the tank for moderate smashing damage.
  19. My guess is that Nemesis forces are interfering. Maybe after we have pushed-him back enough.

You may want to look at Stalkers; they got some neat buffs that allow you to use assassins strike more effectively outside of hide. Specifically, I like StJ and EngMelee with... something, but I dont know if they are ideal for what is being asked.
  22. "Once toggled, this power will grant [level of invisablility quote needed] so that you can stalk you foe...etc etc."

I would like to know this. Can I walk up to Hami and lay down for a nap, or is this something I can run past baddies with on the way to a mission? Or are power stats taboo for sales?

Love it on Meteor Hammer: TW/FA brute, which has a FF proc in all AOE's. That monster just bellows all kinds of death. Tools are up w/e I need them. Redraw doent matter when things are burning (the last move I do after I spend momentum, so I'll be moving slow anyway). I focused on getting ranged def as high as possible since KD and the +def mitigate most melee problems. Staying power is just fun. I run out of baddies before endurance (with help from my secondary and cardiac core).

Build w/e you think will be fun.
